Very disappointed after seeing all the positive reviews. Sandwich was just ok, my friend asked for hers toasted/warmed so they just put it in the microwave. The kicker was ordering cheese fries which they made to order but did not cook long enough then put the cheese on from a tub and threw that in the microwave in the Styrofoam container to warm the cheese! Obviously they came out soggy and gross. The two men working were very nice but I definitely won’t be coming back.

I gave five stars because the man that made my sub was extremely nice, and I don’t want to cause any harm to a local business run by such nice people. I just purchased my first sandwich from this location the other day and I was struck by how inexpensive the sandwich was. Then I starting eating it and I figured it out real quick. The meat had an odd flavor and it looked very low quality. I had a stomach ache shortly after eating it. I’d much rather pay more for boars head or some other quality meat. I’m not sure what brand they use, but it seemed very bottom of the barrel. I would still recommend giving this place a try though, maybe it was just a fluke, or maybe the particular kind of meat I chose was the only sketchy kind they offer. It’s always a good thing to support small local businesses. Go to sub brothers!

One of the best spots in Rogers Park to get a bite! The brothers are always so nice. The sandwiches are absolutely amazing!!! They are my right hand restaurant when I need something to eat nearby. The price point is surprisingly low for how big the sandwiches are. Diverse menu too; Love all the options. Happy to say I’m a regular here!

Have lived in rogers park for 4 years, and this place is one of my staples. To be fair, I only get 1 thing. It’s the philly cheese, fries, and a cup of cheese. Good god that sub is amazing. I don’t know what it is, but I tell everyone new to the neighborhood about this place. Plus, the owners are always working, and are some of the friendliest people in rogers park. SUPPORTTHISPLACE!

I moved back to RP a few months ago and have been working my way through the restaurants. I was in a hurry and decided to drop in here as I had not tried it yet and was pressed for time. I ordered a ham and turkey, which is really turkey ham and turkey, with all the trimmings. The bread is soft and delicious and the contents are generous. I agree with the other poster who said the Subway up here are more bread to contents but this is a very satisfying sammich! I will definitely be going back as the place is spotless, the two older gentlemen behind the counter are exactly that and my order(including onion rings) is simply delicious. It took than about 6 minutes to get my order together and I was on my way. One warning is they are cash only but there are a number of ATM’s within a short walk.

Ok, I’m back for my second sandwich this week and on a hunch, I asked what the ham was made of. Well, I found out that, they use turkey ham. :(They don’t sell pork products here. However, the sandwiches are still pretty good. Very nice gentleman that owns the place. I will return.

Not really a destination, but a great neighborhood spot. The sandwiches are delicious and cheap. The brothers are so nice and they keep their space clean. They are consistent and do not disappoint. You feel good giving them business and you feel good eating their food.

So yesterday I was craving some good chicken with mild sauce. Called Krispy Krunchy Chicken just to be fooled. So my boyfriend suggested Sub Brothers, which is around the corner from my house and I must say, it was one of the best food experiences of my life. I ordered the eight wings with fries and man oh man, holy crap, I’m in Pavlov mood right now man. Any who, my food was perfect, the chicken was seasoned perfectly and the fries were AMAZING! My boyfriend had the same with a sub as well. His was the corn-beef and roast beef sub, from his delight it was amazing. Delicious he says. This place is truly a treasure. It’s owned by two of the sweetest old men ever and it’s clean. Note if you want to eat at this place, it is small with only seats for about eight people. For food this good, you get take out, go home put on some Step Brothers or some Breaking Bad and have a blast of a day. Oh by the way, their sauces are YES. YESSSSSSSSMAKELOVETOMYPALETTES.

Today I was craving a Sub, but not from Subway where the bread ratio overpowers the meat and then there’s like a $ 2.00 upcharge for extra meat. So, I researched Sub places on Unilocal and I came across a place called Sub Brothers, so I decided to check them out. Sub Brothers is a pretty small storefront on Morse, a few doors away from the Red Line Stop and as I entered I was greeted by 2 really nice guys, and yes, the resemblance was uncanny so I’m presuming that’s how the name Sub Brothers came to be. Now, this place does not have a large menu but they have about 10 different sub varieties to choose from in either small or large size. A large runs about $ 5.99 and you can choose what you want on your sub. Well worth this most reasonable price! They also have gyros and burgers, fries etc. but my advise would be to get yourself a sub from this place. The bread was fresh, no shortage of meat and the taste/quality was really good. The price was right and the Customer Service was outstanding from these 2 really great guys. Also, if you choose to dine in there are only like 5 booths/tables available for seating, definitely more of a take-out place! So, if you are in the Rogers Park area you should give Sub Brothers a try. I’m sure glad I did.:)

While this place has tables, it’s about 90% likely you’re only ordering takeout from this place. With that said, It’s as simple as it gets(in a good way). If you’re in the Rogers Park area and you’re looking for a good sandwich(e.g. italian beef, gyro, sausage, or, surprise surpise, a sub), they won’t disappoint with friendly service and decent prices. Strongly recommend for an easy lunch.

Decent joint for a sub if you’re in the area but not worth traveling any great distance. Good bread, meats and veggies on the sub, but very average tasting. Not enough ingredients between the bread. I was there at noon and the place was empty.

What can I say, I love Sammiches. Sub Brothers makes some mighty fine and tasty Sammiches for a really great price. A large sandwich(footlong) will run you UNDER $ 6 bucks and a regular(six + inches) under $ 4 bucks. They do have other items like fried fish, pizza puffs and general stuff you can get anywhere else in the city. but nowhere else will you find a sandwich made with brotherly love like at sub brothers. The bread is a sesame bread and trust me. ask them to warm the bread. Warming the bread definitely changes the flavor of the bread and brings out the toasty-ness of the sesame seeds. All of their sandwiches come with your typical condiments so just make sure to let them know what you like and what you don’t, they’re very accommodating. The brothers sub often run specials for 2 gyros or 2 hot dogs for about 5 bucks. These specials also include a can of soda and fries. They have all varieties of soda. including grape crush(holler!). It honestly blows my mind to think that the Sub Brothers have not garnered more reviews. The brothers have been in Rogers Park for about 15 years serving these deeerishus Sammiches. I implore you to give the brothers a shot. but have cash with you because they be cash only. ya dig?

When I noticed that Sub Brothers only had eight reviews on Unilocal today I was shocked! This place has been around forever so how in the world can there only be eight reviews? Well, I am going to make sure to make the ninth and tell my roomate to make the tenth, because I love this little place! In all honestly, I have only had one thing from Sub Brothers, but I’ve been there many times! I just love the traditional turkey sandwich so much that I never have the urge to try anything new. My roommate, on the other hand, has tried a few different things and she has enjoyed everything that she has ordered. This place isn’t fancy by any means, but it’s perfectly simple and always hits my sandwich spot! It’s small, with about three tables inside, but it’s so warm and inviting. There are two guys — brothers, I presume, as they look identical and the name would indicate that to be true — who are always there working side by side. They are so nice and adorable I just want to buy sandwiches from them every day just to give them my business.

The owner-operators of Sub Brothers are two kind gentlemen whose resemblance is so striking you’ll never question why their joint carries its name. The food is good and hot, the place is clean and bright. The menu caters to your meat and fries or onion ring cravings.

When I meet someone from Rogers Park, I always ask the same question — have you been to Sub Brothers? And their answer is always no. This place is soooo good! I don’t understand why people haven’t tried it! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but It’s cheap, it’s delicious, and the brothers are super nice. We moved to Evanston 6 months ago and we still stop by every other week. I’m from TX, and whenever I go home to visit, my brother asks me to take a couple of their gyros with me, haha! Everything I’ve had there is good. The Sub Brother, gyro, Italian beef, and chicken sandwich are my favorites. Oh and they have wings served over a basket of French fries drenched in hot sauce, which is very addicting. It’s cash only. Please go! They need your business!
