Starbucks

They’re in the weeds 100% of the time. In the mornings, it’s easily 10+ minutes before you get your coffee or food; staff seems thoughtlessly deployed and drink making practices will often leave two drinks ordered at the same time appearing many minutes apart. What’s going on here? Even popping down mid-​afternoon or other off times it’s between five and ten minutes to get your drink.

This place must thrive simply due to a convenient location.
Usually crowded, the staff distracted, service has never really been more than adequate at best.
Today was the last time.
Went downstairs for an afternoon coffee, 5 or 6 people all milling around behind the counter, one person working the register, making coffee, etc.
A simple order Grande Pike. Noticed the label on the machine said Dark, but what the heck.
The barrista handed the coffee across the top of the register, but was so distracted that the top didn’t get put on properly.
Burned fingers, coffee all over my dress shirt and dress pants. Hot and hurting, and no comment from any of the staff.
Just took back my card, walked around the block to the Starbucks across the street. Got a smile, a hello, a fresh cup of Pike, and a thank you.
Not sure why some Starbuck’s are so great, and why others have trouble…
Can’t wait to see if they add insult to injury, I will check to see if on top of my dry cleaning bill, I get charged for the spilled coffee.

This is by far the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to anywhere in the USA and abroad! After frequenting this Starbucks on a 5 day a week basis for 4+ years, and others throughout the year (when not near Olgilvie), there is such a huge difference in both quality of the drinks, freshness of the food, and the persona of the baristas. Service here is top notch and the baristas know both your name and your favorite drink (s). If you order a food item, it’s going to taste fresh and it’ll be warm, regardless of how busy the store is. If you’re not sure you’re going to like a certain coffee, you can try it before you buy it. Their baristas suggestions are tailor made for YOU, as they always seem to know what each constant customer enjoys. This Starbucks is managed by Neyecha, and she’s fantastic — always making sure her new hires are properly trained and know how this Starbucks operates. Key here is the staff — they’re absolutely wonderful — all 10 of them!

I cannot rave enough about this specific Starbucks location. Wow. My office is in the building, so I began coming here out of sheer morning necessity. It only took 3 visits before the entire staff knew my name and drink… and this is a BUSY location! It accommodates 40+ floors of office mayhem, but these wonderful baristas and employees greet each person each morning with the kind of enthusiasm and genuine warmth that most people can’t muster up after 6 coffees. Not only that, but they actually make conversation, inquire about their customers days, and never seem to get overwhelmed. This is the kind of location where, if a rude customer HAPPENS to come around, its the people in line behind or in front of them reprimanding them for their bad manners.
Hands down the best Starbucks I have ever been to. The coffee tastes better because of who’s serving it.

The staff is amazing here! It’s quite refreshing to walk in every morning and have all the baristas wish you a happy morning and remember and make your drink the exact way you like it!
People don’t seem to mind waiting in line to get their morning doses of caffeine and tea; I know I don’t. It’s convenient to walk to from the office; and with the service being quick and efficient in addition to the friendly manner of the staff, this is a favorite haunt through the weekdays.

I am absolutely amazed at with the quality of service this starbucks staff provides especially because they are in the train station and are usually super busy. They still manage to make this a homey neighborhood feeling starbucks. They know my drink as soon as I get in line as well as everyone else in line with me. They know peoples names and are familiar with little snippets of their lives. I stayed home from work one day and the next day one of the baristas said «where were u yesterday, we missed you». None of them ever seem to be in a bad mood even though their morning rush must be exhausting. Best Sbux ever!

The staff here is absolutely one of the better Starbucks team around. They take the time to get to know you (and your drink), engage in friendly conversation, and really know how to make you feel welcome.
Oh, and they make a killer caramel macchiato too!

The coffee is regular Starbucks, which is A-​OK, not the best in the world, but certainly better than most chain coffee around, and better than a lot of local coffee too. I work in the same building (2 North Riverside) so this Starbucks is extremely convenient for me.
The service is outstanding. Anna, Larry, Shardae, and the rest of the gang are the tops. They always have great attitudes, they always know what we are going to order, and they will always make it right if the coffee doesn’t taste right. A better Starbucks team I have never seen.
