This is a shady outfit with deceptive billing practices, Dr Caro is like a used car saleman, I went for a free evaluation and he tried to bill my insurance for $ 455.00, when I confronted them that they tried to scam my insurance they hung up on me
he also has 60 lawsuits against him

I went to St George for a Lasik Consultation. I had gone to a couple other places that had told me two different things (I one told me that I qualified for Lasik, the other told me I didn’t) so I wanted a third opinion. I came in and filled out the paperwork. Once completed, they put on an informative video for me, which is typical. Instead of a DVD, I watched a VERY poor quality VHS tape. The video was from the 80s! This was a pretty big red flag to me. If you’re supposedly using state of the art lasers on my eyes, couldn’t you afford to spend the money on an updated DVD??? The doctor who was supposed to see me came out and apologized that he had to leave and that I would be taken care of by his staff and he would call me the following week to follow up. Throughout the consultation, the staff person I met with was constantly interrupted to answer questions or do something else. There was really no sense of courtesy or professionalism. As I left, I recommended to the front desk staff that they consider upgrading to a DVD. The staff person replied that she would tell the doctor but it IS quite expensive to create a personalized DVD ($ 500). They charge $ 3500 for Lasik… I think they could make the investment.
