Seafood Junction is new and a very attractive restaurant. It is a bit small but comfortable. The food is delicious and very large portions, two can share an entrée. You do have to wait for your food. However, it is made from scratch. I will be going back.

I have been a fan of this restaurant for quite some time, but I have to say my last visit there was VERYDISAPPOINTING! The location I frequent is on Madison and Lockwood. I ordered 2 meals and both were the same. My orders were supposed to come with 1 Lobster Tail and 10 shrimp, corn, potatoes and broccoli. I also paid for extra shrimp and a piece of catfish. The first thing I noticed was that instead of them being inside an aluminum container, they were in a smaller white takeout containers which let me know immediately that the portions were going to be smaller than usual. Since I had to hurry home, I didn’t take the time to take the plastic wrap off to check my orders, but I have never had an issue before, so I didn’t think much of it at the time. I open each container and instead of 10 shrimp plus the extra, I only had 6! And the portion overall is cut way down. The one thing I have always enjoyed was that they used to give you a good amount of food. Not anymore I see. Money paid for the meals… Definitely not worth it and considering that they did not give me all the shrimp I paid for was very disappointing. Sad to say, but it looks like I will not be back.

My coworker hipped me to this place last year, finally I made it. M so glad because the food was off the chain. I ordered 1 lb of shrimp $ 13, all meals come with 3 vegetables: potatoes, broccoli and a half ear of corn. The food is seasoned very well and topped with what taste like Old Bay seasoning. A treasure in the hood nothing was fried it was steamed and I was excited to be able to get vegetables instead of fries. My new favorite place.

For its location and quality of food and service this place gets 4 stars! I wish I had found it earlier, they have excellently seasoned and expertly steamed seafood. I chose the salmon scallop combo and it was by far the best thing j had eaten this month!(That’s saying something as I indulge in amazing cuisine on the regular and as a hobby) I will be coming back but for now all I can say is whatever you choose I’m sure you’ll like it.

Fisherman’s Island Chicago is significantly better(better flavor and generous portions) than Seafood Junction(cost more, small portions, and bland) on 87th!

Tried it for the first time since I been hearing a lot about it. Food was real good and healthy since nothing is fried, all steamed… I love the fact that they take link as well

Isn’t it illegal for restaurants to accept link. Link is not supposed to buy cooked food. I hear the food is good, however, I can’t deal with businesses that operate illegally, that makes me feel, «what else are you doing that’s not supposed to happen?» No thank you. What’s worse is that people are posting that they accept link…

I got the shrimp platter it was definitely delicious but the Manheim location tastes 10 X’s better… Both locations take link so that’s a super plus !!! The Cajun seasoning brings it all together perfectly

I recently have been trying out new dining establishments on Chicago’s west side and I’d heard about Seafood Junction via a Facebook post. The reviews on Unilocal seemed to be mixed but mostly favorable so I decided to check them out last Sunday. I called in an order for the Tilapia and Shrimp combo(approx. $ 13), When I arrived 15 minutes later I was greeted by a friendly staff and the meal was ready and waiting. It consisted of 12 seasoned shrimp and 1 – 2 fillets. I expected the normal«fried» rendition but the shrimp were boiled and the fillet were baked/grilled. They were accompanied by a half ear of corn on the cob, seasoned potatoes, broccoli florets and a lemon wedge. Both a mild shrimp sauce and tartar sauce were included. Overall the meal was quite good. One extra touch I appreciated was the fact that the container holding the food wrapped with cellophane so much that when I arrived home 15 minutes later the meal was still hot(which explained why I didn’t smell anything while driving home… lol). There were other seafood items offered which I have yet to sample but as for this one it gets 4.5 stars!

I recently was referred to this place by a friend, I could not believe how convenient and tasteful this restaurant. One thing everyone must know Seafood junction prides themselves on NOT frying anything! The service is quick and easy, Only negative about this place is the area its located in… Im guessing the majority of consumers would simply continue riding past this place, but best believe THOSE individuals are surely missing out! I will add pics the next time I visit, was so busy stuffing my face I didn’t think about pictures.

Today was my first time here and I took my wife with me I spent 70 $ and I must say it was money not well spent. The people were nice, well actually the girl who took our order was, but we didn’t go there for the people. The food was absolutely horrible I don’t see what the rave was all about with this place. I ordered shrimp and lobster the lobster was tough and everything was completely bland and smelled extremely fishy the vegetables that it came with all tasted fishy. Do your self a favor and don’t waste your time or money at this place unless you like BLAND and FISHY tasting sea food. FYI if seafood smells fishy it’s a good sign that it’s bad or on the verge of being spoiled

I never even heard of Seafood Junction until I saw a Facebook post about it. The plate she posted looked really good, so I decided to go today after work. The area it’s in is really rough! It makes you not want to get out of the car. Horrible parking and a lot of riff raff hanging around outside the restaurant. You literally have to watch your back(and bag) in this area! It was extremely busy when I went inside the restaurant. I waited about 20 to 25 minutes for my food. If you want faster service, call ahead. Customer service could’ve been better. I ordered the lobster tail with the shrimp and veggies. The food was good for what it is, but they could’ve used more flavor. The portions were small. I should’ve got more for $ 21 and some change. Also, the prices are high for this restaurant to be in a bad part of the city. I would go again when I have a craving for seafood.

Very delicious food !! Hands down the best fresh seafood market in the city. I had the mussels which were delicious as well as the shrimp. Lol I’ll probably be back next week. Do not plan to eat inside this establishment though, it’s pretty much carry out only and yes ITIS on the westside of Chicago(Debit and cash only)

I came on my lunch break to get the salmon and shrimp combo along with a few extra orders for my coworkers! The food was good but the service was like a 4… So I decided I’d give them a second shot after work… I called in my order and was told 10 minutes… 35 minutes later I got my food and was assured that my food was correct… I got all the way home, which is another 25minutes, to open the box and it was completely wrong… I called back and he said come back I’ll fix it. I get here he’s gone and they tell me another 15minutes !! The workers were extremely unprofessional, on their phones, cursing, and down right rude! Not worth the taste…

Be warned this is WESTSIDE! For the last 5 months I’ve place about 10 orders with this restaurant all are delivery for obvious reasons, each order was on average $ 40+ so with business over $ 400. I’m sorry to say, enough is enough! Owner simply doesn’t care for customer service nor does he care to improve with suggestions. Service: Has gradually gone down from July to November. Some tips: allow yourself 2hr for delivery, and don’t use any special instructions they can’t read. Be ready to make your own butter sauce at home, as my order often missed dipping butter sauce. My order in July looked fresh green and nicely packed, by Oct’ they were yellowish, Soaked in grease packed in leaky styrofoam.
Price: I agree with other posts prices have gradually increased on everything. I now think this place is average value vs. what’s available at other restaurants. I don’t mind the price increase — but my 1 star is for their service which has gone down tremendously. Take a look at older pictures vs newly posted. I’m not comparing them to Joe’s Seafood, but rather a similar much friendlier places like Happy Crab. NEVER again!

Had a taste for crab legs and Hubby and I were too lazy to go out and ran across Seafood Junction on GrubHub. Took a chance and ordered snow crab legs, mussels, clams, and shrimp platter. It came with corn, broccoli and potatoes. We were glad we took the chance. Everything was tasty and fresh. And it was a LOT of food for $ 59. Will definitely order again.

What can I say? Who knew I liked steamed and broiled seafood. It absolutely great. However, since they’ve opened they’re prices have continued to increase. …but hey, it’s seafood. Love the seafood salad and fresh veggies.

Surprisingly good food in the hood! I found seafood junction on Instagram. The picture looked so good that I felt obligated to go try them. Although I’ve lived in Chicago for many years, I’ve never been further west than the United Center. I’ve just never needed to do anything over there. So to me the area didn’t seem very dangerous(I went at 7pm in July), but when my friends found out where it was they told me it’s not the safest(and they’ve been to the west side). I’m not trying to discourage anyone, but just wanted to put it out there. I’m fact, I would actually encourage people to go if possible because it really is good food and such a great value!
