Salone Capriccio

Groupon had a bit of an issue with their system but the salon was responsive when we scheduled an appointment on their website. Anne was amazing to work with. We went with a cut and die, and Anne made fantastic suggestions about both the style and the color my mom should go with. While my mom was waiting for the color to finish she gave a free trim to my sister! Overall the experience was wonderful.»

I bought the groupon for the cut and deep condition. Anna was super sweet and did a good job on my hair that was in serious need of a trim. I will be back!

Mary Beth Armstrong is the best nail technician I’ve ever been to, hands down! I looked far and wide for someone who would not only give great manicures and pedicures but was also reasonably priced and could carry on an intelligent conversation. Once I found Mary Beth, I committed to being her client and set up regular manicure and pedicure appointments.
Mary Beth is very professional and very conscientious about maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. Formerly an architect, she is detail-​oriented and is careful to give the best possible service to fit each person’s needs. Her mani’s and pedi’s are fabulous. Mary Beth is also a licensed massage therapist, so the foot massages that come with her pedicures are a dream come true. (She can give you a chair massage at the salon for an extra treat!) She also goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to acquiring special products or treatments the client may want. I highly recommend Mary Beth Armstrong!

Got the groupon for a cut/​deepcondotion/​color. Made an appointment with Anna. Such a sweetheart. She spent time matching my hair color and making sure I was satisfied. Not to mention my hair feels so soft after the deep condition.
The business is very friendly and homey. Everyone who came in was greeted by name!

Anna is a life saver! I bought a Groupon here last year and forgot to leave a review, but she highlighted and cut my hair — looked great!
Fast forward to a few weeks ago — I’m super picky with my hair, especially after having the same woman do my hair for years growing up. But, I think I’ve finally found my new hair stylist!
I called Anna to make an appointment. She got me in pretty quick and even told me there was a other Groupon available. When I got there, I showed her a picture of what I wanted (my hair is light brown/​blonde ish, and I had my hopes for red) She helped me pick a few colors to mix and we got started.
I was worried about it being too red, or not red enough, but it turned out perfect! She also trimmed my hair because my layers had grown out and were getting ratty at the ends.
Anna is super sweet and her salon is very homey-​feeling. It’s just a few blocks from the Diversey Brown line, so it’s easy to get to. I definitely recommend going there, and Anna is the best!

Had my first cut and color at Salone Capriccio and had a wonderful experience. The staff is all very friendly and make for a wonderful experience. Anna was my stylist and she did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend the salon and Anna!

I was just thinking about Salone Capriccio and thought I’d write a review! I haven’t been since September 2013 (it’s an hour and a half away from my apartment!) but I LOVED what they did to my hair. I got a Groupon for the salon for a cut and color, I believe. When I first walked in, I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’ve typically gone to bigger salons (Mario Tricoci), and this is definitely a smaller salon. I can’t say enough good things about this place! There were three women working when I went in, and I was the last appointment of the day. I cannot remember my stylist’s name but an earlier review mentioned the name Tammi and that rings a bell (sorry if I’m misplacing the credit!). I had red hair that I wanted dyed a cool dark brown (closer to my natural color), and for all you folks with red hair, you probably know what a challenge it is to get out those copper tones! I don’t know how she did it, but a miracle happened that day. I walked out of the salon with a GORGEOUS cool brown shade that somehow barely faded for 6 months — I didn’t even need a touch up! I really am unsure how that was possible, but Tammi did it. I’m moving up north in a few weeks and can’t wait to go back!

I made an appointment with this salon, and they never wrote it down. When I showed up to my appointment, I had to go home because they had scheduled someone else.

I actually look forward to the times I go and get my hair cut now that I go to Salone Capriccio. Barb has been my stylist for the last year or so, and she always does a great job. On top of that, we always have a great conversation. How many stylists in Chicago can give you great restaurant recommendations and talk about SCUBA diving in Thailand?
My parents have actually gotten their hair cut by Barb for the last twenty years and continue to do so despite not even living in the city anymore. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great, friendly stylist.
The rest of the staff inside is always very friendly as well. There is normally street parking pretty close (it is right across the street from Webster Place). Salone Capriccio does have a reasonable supply of shampoo and other hair products, but it is possible to find cheaper shampoo and more selection other places.

Even in the middle of this depression there is still one habit I cannot kick and it’s Salon Capriccio. Lord knows I have tried to save money and cut back but I knew it. Tammi is and has been my stylist since my return to Chicago 7 years ago.

I go to Salone Cappricio for my cuts and highlightings. My hairdresser is Roxanne, and she does a fantastic job. I’ve never had any cut or color that wasn’t perfect, and her prices are very reasonable. Roxanne also did an updo for me, and it looked absolutely perfect. I highly recommend her and Salone Cappricio.
