Tried this place for the first time last week and I gotta say I’m in love! One of the best all you can eat sushi places around. Only $ 20 dollars for dinner and the sushi is fairly priced for what it is. Most the rolls are slightly smaller than normal sushi places but for all you can eat you can’t beat it! The staff and servers are very welcoming and even have offered us some free saki bombs! I would recommend this to anyone looking to get full off sushi and still have great sushi. This is definitely going to become a regular destination for me.

I have a new favorite place for AYCE sushi and even my kids agree with me. I went to Royal Sushi on a rainy Monday night for my son’s post-birthday celebration. This is his birthday request to me, to go to an AYCE sushi place… that’s my boy! He makes me proud:) I did not make reservations but we took our chances. We got here at around 6:30pm and the place was still empty although by the time we were leaving, the place was already almost packed. I cannot itemize all the rolls that we’ve tried because we had so much. Why 5 stars? Their rolls are packed with everything in the middle of each roll… with just the right amount of sushi rice. There are rolls with 5, 6, 8 and 10(dragon roll) pieces per order and it is helpful that this is written on the menu. We try to choose the rolls with 5 or 6 pieces to start with, except for the Dragon Roll, we have to have the Dragon Roll :) All the ingredients are fresh and the rolls very well presented. The place is neat, washrooms are clean, and the service is friendly and efficient. We’ll definitely keep coming back. Thanks Unilocal for leading me to this great find:)

My husband is a huge fan of sushi, but prior to dining here, I’d only tried once or twice. Well, I’m a huge fan now! We’ve come here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner, and both times did the all you can eat. I did notice some other reviews mention wait time and I will say when we went for dinner(Saturday night) we arrived fairly early, around 6pm and we were only the second table to be filled. But by the time we left roughly an hour later, almost every table was filled and our wait time for our last few pieces we order was significantly longer. I know that is because everything is rolled fresh and didn’t mind the wait, but something to be aware of. Overall I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Funny that we only stumbled upon this place because Blufish doesn’t open until 4pm and the boyfriend was starving at 3pm. Instead of waiting for Blufish to open, we decided on this place. It was a weekday and I think there was only 2 or 3 other parties there. Service was fantastic and we were really glad to see that the rolls were not stuffed with rice. For AYCE, this place is 5 stars. The only reason why I didn’t rate it as 5 is because it’s not the best sushi out there, but definitely the best I’ve had for AYCE so far. You would never expect that by looking from the outside(same strip mall as Jewel and O’Reilly’s), but it’s actually spacious yet cozy inside. My only concern is that Umami Sushi was really good when they first opened too, and now they’re disgustingly terrible. I really hope that doesn’t happen to this place! We visited again last Sunday for dinner and brought my sister with. It was a little more packed but service was still great. The wait surprisingly wasn’t that long between orders. I think this is because they brought out rolls as they were ready(which I prefer), instead of trying to bring out a big tray of your entire order. I noticed they added sliced cucumber to their water(I likes) and also added a few more special roll options. As a recommendation, the godzilla roll is an awesome cooked option. The Downer’s Grove and Turtle roll were also very yummy. I personally love Rainbow Rolls, and this place does an okay job for AYCE. And lastly, I usually eat my money’s worth alone in unagi and sake nigiri!

Still think this place is great. I went again today. Fresh etc. But… Two rolls are just plain nasty in my mind and should be taken off the menu. Sapporo roll-drenched in ginger sauce. Think of the side of ginger that you get with the wasabi blended up and poured all over the roll and the rolls is ice cold too. I had to eat this one all by myself because after 1 bite my gf would not touch it. Mango roll-I LOVE mango and can eat about 4 in one sitting but somehow it tastes not so good on a roll at least the one they make here. Skip these and say thanks to me later.

Never has any intentions of trying sushi but got dragged here. All i can say now is it was actually delicious! I only ate sushi with cooked shrimp though, I will still not try it with the raw fish. Will definitely be back again.

Within the strip mall on the corner of Foster and Harlem, «Royal Sushi» vowed to gain loyalty customers by offering all-you-can-eat sushi buffet(lunch: $ 15.99; dinner: $ 19.99, as of 12/08/2015). Since this establishment has been relatively new, cleanliness was definitely on point. Even though items can be order In a la carte style, I believe dining in the AYCE fashion is the way to go. My rationale behind this statement is backed up by the prices I saw on the regular menu. One(1) order of Godzilla rolls, with eight(8) pieces, would cost approximately $ 14. Imagining that you multiply an order of signature maki rolls by four(4), you’ve got two(2)-people worth of AYCE sushi covered! If the westernized maki rolls aren’t your cup of tea, scale up your orders with nigiri instead. It was comforting to see that ratio of rice and fish wasn’t ridiculously disproportionate. We had the salmon, white tuna, and spicy salmon nigiri. I personally will stick with nigiri next time as my primary choices for my version of AYCE. We tried the«city» rolls, as suggested by our server. I would give them some credit for creativity, but the overwhelming amount of sauce disoriented my tastebuds. In other words, I couldn’t decipher exactly what I fed into my mouth. However, $ 19.99 for dinner sushi buffet is reasonably-priced for the Chi-town standard. The server handed us three(3) copies of AYCE menu. Well, we were full upon exhausting two(2) copies. Hubby and I agreed that Royal Sushi is a keeper.

The service was slow. We went for the«all-you-can-eat» but we were only able to order 6 rolls. It was 25 mins per 2 rolls. The restaurant wasn’t even half-full. On top of that, the rice they used to make sushi is on the dry side. It definitely lacked water when they cooked it. I’m Asian and I know how rice should be. We spent $ 50 bucks on that kind of quality. If we went to Blu Fish, it would’ve been a bit pricey but the quality of food is unmatched, and I bet food will be served altogether on-time. Have you ever had a meal where you got full but never liked what you ate? That was my experience.

Absolutely delicious! Food and service was outstanding. Our waitress was very attentive but not in a overbearing way. As for the restaurant itself I really like the vibe and ambiance, everything is brand new and veryyyy clean(self proclaimed germaphobe) As for the sushi… Out of this world good! The Jono and Toutle roll were my favorite. So happy I won’t be traveling to the city as often for quality sushi because I much rather go here. Word of advice: I have a feeling this will become a popular place so come here before the crowds starting rushing in!

Great sushi place and nice ambiance. We came as a family of four on a Sunday night. We were the first table and it filled up fast before 6 pm. The appetizers are plenty and freshly cooked. The nigiri sushi is pretty fresh and more variety than regular all you can eat sushi. They certainly have a lot of maki sushi rolls as well. I have to comment on my favorite roll, spider toll! It’s so much better here. They don’t put too much rice and sauce in the roll and I can taste the soft shell crab. We are very pleased with the service too. It’s a nice place with friendly service. Good location with plenty of parking too. Definitely coming back soon.

I Just about died when I found out this place is from the same owners as sushi city in downers grove! Similar menu, but so glad I no longer have to drive an hour to get yummy, fresh sushi! By far my favorite all you can eat sushi joint. My only complaint is the long wait I had to endure for each roll, it wasn’t too busy the night we went so I can’t imagine the wait once this place gets more traffic. Other than that, can’t wait to be back!

This place is ridiculously good, well priced all you can eat sushi which includes appetizers, sashimi, maki rolls and even house specialties! The plate presentation is spot on! The sushi chefs artwork on the plate will make you eat with your eyes. The food is absolutely delicious! The portions are obviously endless! If you like sushi you have to check this place out! You will not be disappointed. Favorite picks: TOUTLE, TORCHEDDRAGON, GODZILLA, FRIEDSCALLOPS, and this shredded crab & cucumber salad covered in tempura flakes P. S. Don’t plan on doing anything afterwards for your food coma

The best sushi I have ever had. It was wonderful and the staff is so nice. The atmosphere is so comforting and beautiful. Have gone twice so far and plan on going again! Keep up the good work! The first time I got the California and Philadelphia rolls. This time I did the lunch special and got the avocado maki, the v.g. maki and the Alaskan maki. Also got mochi for the first time. Yummy! Just to state the prices are great! The food is fantastic! I highly recommend. If you don’t like the idea of raw fish they have quite a few options to help with that! :-) the first time we went we spent a total of $ 25 and this time it was $ 42 for two people and that’s cause of the lunch special and the three drinks and mochi. Heck of a deal!
