The Halsted location is not worthy of one star. I have been a customer of this location for almost three years, but I refuse to provide them with any additional business after this evening’s incident. My delivery arrived 1hr and 30 mins late. The delivery man refused to use the lobby intercom system as I asked to be allowed access to my floor. I had to run downstairs in order to catch him. When I informed him of his delivery service, he proceeded to verbally accost me. When I called to let the supervisor know about this event(Shaquille), he was very nonchalant and refused to provide me with the Owner’s information so I could file a complaint. I left a message at the company’s headquarters in Warrensville. I will NEVER frequent this restaurant or any of the Roast’s stores again.

Eh, the pizza is a solid ok. The delivery, however, is awful. Just effing terrible. I can’t count how many times this place has been late with my delivery, though when it approached nearly 2 hours tonight, I finally called it quits. Sorry Rosati’s, you’re not that good to justify my hangriness.

Food is just like any other«Italian restaurant» very salty and greasy pizza! But you get what you expect and pay for! Service here isn’t the best, but the place is always clean! I don’t suggest ordering from grub hub, because orders tend to take forever.

Ordered nearly $ 50 worth of food via GrubHub. Driver called, said he was outside. So was I. I returned the call only to find out that he was at a very distant(and incorrect) address. When I tried to explain this was the wrong address, he quickly got aggressive telling me it was right. I went back to check the order receipt and it did have all of the correct information. Instead of being civil, he very angrily, and aggressively told me about all of the other deliveries he had to make. Needless to say, I cancelled the order and won’t ever try that again. There’s a chance this was just a bad day for someone, but I am not going to take the chance again.

Called before walking over and they guaranteed there wouldn’t be any sausage pizzas which was fine. I tried ordering slices for pick up but they don’t take those types of orders I Got there in five mins after calling and some one in line took the last two sausage pizzas and it’s a Friday. I asked when will the next slices of pizzas be coming out and the girl cashier told me in ten minutes. I told her I would be back in ten minutes and came back in ten minutes and three people are ahead of me and they take every sausage pizza. I’m upset and speak to a different cashier, a male cashier. He told me I could have placed the order and waited for the pizzas and I told him I did not know that was possible since they already denied me pick up for slice pizzas and that the girl should have told me that before I left thinking I would come back to some sausage pizzas. I also told the man that if they knew sausage pizza was so popular than why didn’t they have two trays of sausage pizzas and he told me he was sorry. I ended up waiting basically 20 mins in total for my sausage sliced pizzas. And I got over it after air received my pizzas until he placed out two trays of sausage pizzas. What a slap in the face? I was soooooo angry. If they had done that in the first place then I wouldn’t have waited an extra ten mins for pizza. On top of that I came home to one of my pizzas missing a whole side of cheese and sausage and the pizza was extremely greasy and sloppy and it was nothing like the first two trays of pizza. I hate you Rosatis pizza. I spent $ 13, how dare you all do me like that?

The worker taking phone orders and the delivery person were both rude. The delivery man called twice from his car before trying to ring our door. After ringing, he refused to come up the steps and made us go down to meet him. Then he complained about us being hard to reach and wasn’t even carrying the pizza with him.

This place is probably my new go to pizza place in Chicago. Their pizza is fantastic and I love their fries. The timing is great especially on a lazy night in to order.

Pizza was delicious, even better than the previous owner. The cashier, Shaquille has amazing customer service skills. I will definitely return.

Following up on the previous review. The manager(TJ) did contact me to discuss the situation I experienced. He apologized and took accountability of the staff’s poor customer service and stated that there are new staff now and they have been trained much better. In addition he did offer for us to give them another try. He was very polite and nice, so we did. The experience was better.

The weekend of Halloween, on a Friday night, you would not believe how quiet it was in here. Crickets. It’s odd to me that there are(still) places that would serve plain old, tired ass pizza out of a heated-display box. They won’t fire up the slice for you either! WTH! Boy. those slices look terrible and yet, still, I had the audacity to have one. I shouldn’t have. But, it’s because of this slice that I realized that my mustache was growing too long and that I should hit a barber shop immediately. I also had time to ponder a great many subjects. Like, why their reviews suck so bad. Whether or not I should get the interior of my car detailed. Why this space looks so new, neat and amazing yet they’re only using about 20% of its potential.(It’s quite sad really.) I had quite a bit of time on my hands and the flavors of the slice were just plain old tired. Walking in and seeing their television(flat panel) menus I was a lil’ confused. It’s a whole lot of information all at once. Especially when it’s night time and they are advertising lunch specials. One would think it might be wiser to show(changing) food photos on one screen and offer their always menu on the other. This spot looks fantastic and is brand spanking new. It’s clear that there isn’t any care or «warmth» in here like other Rosati’s locations. The fact that there are display cases and clear bins that could house tasty foods but are left empty and unused, point to a bigger factor, that no one cares. I’ve always thought, one can’t merely judge a place on their slices alone. Ordering full pies is where the tastes can be found. But to that I think. whatever you offer to a customer should be representative of your skills and responsibility to your fare(food). Right? They should always strive to serve good product. Plus, other Rosati’s locations will often«fire up» a slice for a customer. On another note, this is a great area for a competitor to bring a pizza slice food truck!

It’s funny to me that everyone is ripping on their customer service here and not the food as much. While the service was not exactly top notch, the cashier was not unfriendly and did her job of taking my order and boxing up my slices of pizza.(I got the 2 slice and fries lunch special) And boy did both of those slices of pizza suck… I have had my fair share of Rosati’s pizza before living in Vegas and it was always a solid choice for Chicago style pizza. Hell, my roommate was from Naperville and even said it was good. But this time around, it was absolute garbage here. Sorry guys but you have failed me or at least this location has. I will stick with the other greats here in the city like Uno or Lou’s. Heck, even Gio’s is a better choice.

Worst customer service I experienced in years! Pizza ended up being 3 hours late, and took me to call in 6 times to find out what was taking so long, in which they kept replying«on its way.» I justifiably demanded a second large free pizza due to the rude customer service and delay… and was told it would happen. When it arrived, they lied to me and only gave me a small free pizza. They said the Manager Crystal said that was all they would do for me. So, crystal and Rosatis, you have lost a customer and I will make sure that I inform all of my friends not to support this franchise because they don’t care at all about their customers. Truly a shame Rosatis, you should be embarrassed. Oh, and the $ 40 xl 18″ pizza arrived cold naturally. Seriously, be ashamed of yourselves.

You can taste un-fermented raw flour mixture in the dough. They don’t take time to age dough here. Horrible pizza

Gotta try to keep this simple: Pros: — Lunch specials are great. — Food is actually pretty good — pizza is a little on the salty/greasy side, but it’s pizza, not gonna be figure friendly. — restaurant is really clean Cons: Slow, Slow, Slow, Slow, Slow, Slow, Slow service. The girl who took my order was really nice, but whomever is making the food… wow, talk about taking your time. If you have a limited amount of time for lunch, I’d rethink eating here.

Decent pizza slices, the wings are better in my opinion. Didn’t have to deal with service since I didn’t dine in, took my food to go. But I could see why guests could complain about service, some of the older employees seem grumpy.

I’m a fan of their pizza here, but the service I encountered last night was a joke. I called in and ordered 1 pizza for pickup. I arrive 20 minutes after the phone call I placed because the lady on the phone said it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there, I was greeted and charged for my pizza, thinking it was ready and waited patiently for my pizza to be given to me. That’s when I notice the girl who rang me up start searching for the pizza. Going back and forth from the front to back of the house. Then an older guy keeps looking around. Then another gentleman came from the back to look at the orders in the heating box up front. After about 5 minutes, I ask where my pizza was. «I’ll go check, it should be right out» claims the young lady. This is where everything went wrong. They obviously forgot to make my pizza, and instead of telling me this, the entire group of employees decided to hide in back instead of addressing the issue with me. So for a good 10 minutes, I didn’t see one person even peek through the window on the door to the kitchen where they were all hiding. While I was waiting, a line formed. The guy behind me asks if I’m waiting and I explain to him my observations of how they are clearly avoiding me and how long I’ve been waiting. Then two more people come in and the young lady from before who rung me up came out to assist the customers in line. By this time 15 minutes have passed and I’m staring at her while she rings people up and get’s their slices to go. She avoids all eye contact and turns the other way, making sure I wasn’t able to get her attention. She returns to the back for another 5 minutes. I’m not able to speak to anyone about the issue at hand. This is when I place myself in viewing distance of the back directly in front of the register. She comes back out and I ask«Did you guys forget to make my pizza? Cause that’s what it feels like» She quietly says, «Let me go check, it should be right out». After going back again for another 5 minutes, avoiding any confrontation, she comes out with my pizza. Thanks for the professionalism team. You did everything in your power to avoid what may have been a simple conversation with me and maybe a refund. But instead you hid in back like cowards and decided it was better to make yourself look pathetic and make me furious while I had to wait another 25 minutes for my pizza. Here’s a tip: When I have to wait for my pickup order when I arrive for the same amount of time you said it would originally take for the pizza to be ready, you’re being too obvious. Be upfront with people and don’t fear honesty. Taking my business elsewhere now thanks to the crew working 5÷31÷2015.

So how did my going to a friends Kentucky a Derby /HBO title fight party in their Architecture Digest featured penthouse end up at Rosario’ s Pizza? Well their building cable died about 2 hours before the fight so after frantically trying to restore it, we realized that someone at the party knows the owner of Rosario’s down the street. So they called and booked half of the place for us and we all moved down there and hunkered down for the fight. The place was packed, the staff hustled and accommodated their crowd well. Didn’t eat their food but they rocked on service. Our host and hostess also get an A+ for«getting it done» re a solution for our cable problem. A great time was had by all, except for the fight, which sucked!

Just made an order, unfortunately they got my order wrong. I order pepperoni and it came with jalapeños. Jalapeños are not for me, super disappointing. I wanted my refund for their mistake, they offer me a $ 10 refund. Just wasted $ 33, never again.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s kind of crazy to tip someone at a cash register simply for handing you a slice of pre-made pizza? I even had to get my own can of Coke. Then, I bussed my own table. I’m a big fan of tipping on custom-made items(lattes, etc) but not so much on the«hand it over the counter» type stuff. You may rightly say, «then don’t tip, what’s the big deal, you whiner?» I agree. Normally, I wouldn’t mention, but I felt the anticipation from the three people it took to wait on me. One to inform me «Oh Rosati’s are everywhere now» The second to reach in the glass warner and get my slice The third to ring me up Then, I felt them dismiss me when I didn’t put a $$ amount on the tip line of my receipt. If you can’t be naturally friendly ~ skip it. It’s one thing to do something to earn a tip, but simply greeting a customer, taking an order and handing them something ready-made isn’t it in my book. Otherwise, the price was pretty good — if the ‘za had been better. Can of Coke and a slice $ 5.00 including tax. The pizza was only OK. Way too much sauce at the crust rendered it a bit mushy and sloppy. It was supposed to be a sausage and pep slice, but was scant on the toppings. The shop is nice, if not a bit cramped/awkward. If there’s more than a couple people in line, you will have to dance and dodge to get out the front door.
