Actually Zero Stars directed to the clueless dog walkers who turned the West side of Canal Street between Randolph and Lake into a dog urine and poop-strewn minefield. Please clean up after your dogs! Thank you.

Are you condo shopping? Are you looking to live within walking distance of the Loop and transportation options? Randolph Place is your best option because: –You will get much more space for your money than any nearby large condo building(I have seen them all). –You will get a strong association, 95% owner occupancy, and excellent amenities. –You will meet a professional staff including building management, on-site engineers, 24-hour door staff, and a dock manager. I won’t even go into the typical in-unit amenities. Suffice to say they are commensurate with your professional status and accomplishments. You will still be walking distance to restaurants, stores, clubs, and other perks of city living, but these perks will not be shouting, smoking, and puking on your doorstep late on Saturday night. I consider it the best of both worlds… some complain about the lack of a nearby«neighborhood» feel. If you are a Metra reverse commuter, look here first.

Condos worth checking out if you’re looking for: * spacious apartments with lots of storage space * close to work(assuming you work in the loop/river north area) * West Loop prices, but close enough to River North restaurants and night life Explanation:My fiancé and I only checked out one condo in this building, but we were impressed. The building itself was very nice(24 hour doorman, fitness center with updated equipment), and it’s connected to Spa Space(now that could be dangerous for me!). The 2 bedroom condo we looked at was very spacious, including the 2nd bedroom(which a lot of times can be much smaller than the master bedroom). There was plenty of closet space, a washer and dryer, and overall a wonderful place to call home. It’s also dog friendly, which is important cause we can’t leave Summer(our pup) behind! What really got me excited was when the current residents showed me their 400 sq ft storage unit(located on the same floor that they live on). Apparently everyone gets one of these storage units and they are unreal! I had visions of setting up my work at home office in here– loved it! Not worth checking out if you’re looking for: * a neighborhood * nearby restaurants Explanation: What my fiancé and I didn’t love about this particular building is that there is no neighborhood feel whatsoever. It’s probably very convenient during the week if you work in the area, but there’s something to be said for that neighborhood feel during the weekend. And there’s pretty much no restaurants around besides n9ne and that’s more of a splurge restaurant.
