Lakeview Sheridan Apartments

I lived at 5050 North Sheridan for almost 7 years. While this building has a LOT of potential, it is plagued by inherent problems. The apts. themselves are lovely and full of charm. A lot of work has been done and they are well maintained. The maintenance team is quick and excellent. Now for the bad part…
Being on this particular stretch of Sheridan, the building gets a LOT of noise from the street. The walls between apts are so PAPER thin that you can hear an ordinary conversation in the apt next door. There was also a roach problem that, while it got better over the years, was still present when I moved out. If you’re not careful, you can easily step on an industrial sized roach in the charming lobby. I became tired of residents thinking it was ok to blast their music at 4am, talk on their cell phones right outside my door, or to scream profanities at the top of their lungs so loudly that the entire floor can hear! Hot water is hit and miss… Somedays you get it… some days you don’t.
