It’s 12:37 right now as I write this review and on Unilocal it says this restaurant is open until 2 in the morning. I came all this way to come and find out that it’s closed. If this restaurant will not be open until the time it says it will, than change the fucking time so people won’t waste theirs!

I live really close to another Popeye’s but their service is abysmal. I thought I’d venture out and travel a little bit further to find friendly service, and I’m so glad I did! This Popeye’s is located around the UIC campus. It was clean, had a couple of seats in the place, and had a generally good vibe. They have deals on different days of the week, sadly I forgot to take pictures :(But, the people were nice and the service was fast. I am SO happy I have found my go-​to Popeye’s.

This Popeye’s is clean and the staff is fairly friendly. The chicken is delicious. Yes it’s probably the same recipe as all Popeye’s. It is not greasy. It’s crunchy and the white meat was not dry.

Terrible ordering system!
1. We were told 1.5 hours for delivery
2. Late over 30 minutes
3. Nobody called to let us know about late order
4. When we called, the Asian lady on the phone had just nasty attitude — basically deal with it
5. I will never order from this place again!

Compare to other Popeyes locations, this one is definitely the cleanest Popeyes! Tried to go to the downtown (near Harold college) and yuck! the table was sticky!
The taste is the same as other Popeyes! I do think this location offer a varieties of affordable meal, probably because its on college spot?
Tried their delivery once, and it was fast. Supposed to get here by 7.45, but the food got delivered 30 minutes early.
Saw the previous comment where it stated that the driver was making racist comment, well it didn’t happen to me! The driver (definitely not Hispanic because i saw him!) was nice and polite on the phone and in person!

TERRIBLE! Driver swore he was on my block but I was standing outside my house door on a cold night with only me and parked cars. Then the driver, clearly Hispanic by his accent, started making racist comments and cursing at me because he obviously didn’t have a GPS or simply couldn’t understand directions. Never again.

My second Popeye’s review. I love their fried chicken and Cajun style fries. I am so happy they opened this place up that is only about 5 – 10 minutes walking distance. It didn’t seem like they would have any seating space in this location so I decided to walk over with my wife and our dog for pick-​up. It wasn’t busy in there at all, but it was about a week before UIC starts so I am sure it’ll get more business. The staff was friendly and quick. That’s all you ask for in a fast-​food joint. Their menu, however, seem to have less family options though.

Definitely the CLEANEST Popeye’s I’ve ever seen in my life, not that I’ve been to many Popeye’s. It’s right smack in the middle of University Village, and with the cheap prices, I’m sure it’ll be a popular lunch spot with the UIC students. Fast staff, decent fried chicken… I think it’ll do well. I’m knocking off a star because their «spicy» is definitely NOT spicy.
