Pizza Castle

I especially love Pizza Castle… As a resident of Chicago for over 28 years, I’ve had my fair share of pies. Hands down, the BEST pizza joint on the south side. Try it extra thin!

I’ve ordered from here several time they are great!!! and super consistent! They are truly my to go spot for delievery of pizza. Well worth the price and the ingredients are always very fresh. Love the employees, always have a great experience no matter who I deal with. Highly reccomend. My favorite Pizza in chicago

Unfortunately I cannot give zero stars. I recieved no service, no food and only arguments from the staff. We ordered an xlarge pizza and were told to give them 45 minutes. Almost 40 minutes into waiting, we received a call stating they did not WANT to deliver to us. They wanted us to come in and get the pizza or they would refund us. They stated they didn’t want to come to our area (which is nothing but family homes) as they had it clearly mistaken with another area. After I tried to clarify they were mistaken, they continued to argue. So we opted for the refund. Horrible service.

If zero stars was an option I would give them zero stars. We ordered a pizza for delivery… they said it would be 30 – 45 min. Shortly after the 30 min mark passed (probably closer to 40 minutes) someone called saying they wouldn’t deliver the pizza. My credit card had already been charged. We were told to come in to eat the pizza but wouldn’t be compensated for the time we had already waited and the inconvenience of having to leave to go there. According to other reviews the pizza is good but from my experience the costumer service was terrible. Very disappointed.

Everyone raved about the pizza, so i had to try it. Ordered for delivery. Freindly service over the phone. delivery was quick… was really looking forward to trying a new place for pizza… um…pizza did not hit the spot… nothing that made this pizza place stand out from other local pizzerias… sorry.

Went for the first time, enjoyed the pizza. Can’t say its the best hands down, I can say that their pizza is very affordable and taste great. I have no complaints.

I got two slices to go, one pep and one sausage. They were amazing.

They do accept credit cards, which is nice.

One of the best pizzerias in Chicago. With delicious sauce and sausage made in house this just might be the best thin crust anywhere close to the south side. Def worth every penny

Ordered a large tomato and spinach pizza. Sauce was ok. Vegetables were not very fresh. Not sure if that is because the time of the year in Chicago but a restaurant should be able to get fresh ingredients. There are a lot better pizzas in the Midway area then Pizza Castle.

Love pizza castle! Service is fast. And the people there are always nice! There is Nothing better than having great customer service with your yummy food! I’ve had pizza from here many times. Never disappointing. Fries are good too and any other finger foods as well (onion rings, cheese sticks, Etc.) And the prices are always affordable!.

Decent place when you are in the company of others enjoying a few drinks. I like the wing basket with fries and chicken sandwich. Remember to ask for ranch otherwise you will not get any.

Amazing pizza and fast service. This is in my parents neighborhood and I usually just walk in an order. My parent went to a competitor for years until I finally brought a slice home. They’ve been hooked since.
The sauce is sweet and the crust crunchy. Homemade sausage makes each bite unique.
The place is too small thought. They’ve been in business for years, hopefully they’re able to expand or get more locations. Chicago needs to taste this flavor!

Yeah baby, love this place! It’s got to be the freaking huge oven that they bake the pies in that make them taste so darn good.
I love the ambience and the fact that it’s a neighborhood establishment and has been here foreva!
Their ingredients are legit including the love they put into each order. We ususally get a plain cheese and a sausage, mushroom onion and ask for them extra crispy. Oh yeah, I can almost taste them as I’m typing.
Prices are more than fair to experience a true old school Chicago style pizzaria!

Good pizza here. Tried it for the first time Saturday based on other reviews on here. They also give you a free litter of pop with your pizza. The pizza is comparable to geneos pizza which is close by. And the prices are almost the same as well. I’d come back. But the other place is easier for me to drive to from my house.

Awesome pizza, friendly service, great prices. If you want quality, this is your go-​to place. Ive been coming here for about 5 years now, and the consistency is still there. Its a nice family owned business that I still support, and one of the very few places I know still use brick pizza ovens, the best way to make a pizza! Highly recommend!

I’ve been reading the other reviews for the Castle, as well as other pizza places. I have to say that if you’re ordering delivery, please realize that some things just don’t hold up for delivery – ESPECIALLY FRENCH FRIES! One could argue that all of the food should be hot when delivered. That’s Pollyannish. Just can’t happen. Fries are good for about 5 minutes after leaving the fryer. Cold pizza is a no-​no but cold fries are a sure bet.

Almooossssst enough to get to 5 stars. Almost.
So I have been thinking about my first experience and I believe I was a little cautious with my stars, this being a city built on pizza stones and all, those slices were easily 4 star if not 5… I only knew after because I found myself comparing any pizza slice I’ve had since to them! So far #1, yet to find a better slice.
This time around I opted for the XL King Arthur and again the sauce has a little spice and the crust around the edge of the pizza is crazy good and crunchy like real brick oven stuff! I think those 2 things plus the sausage are what makes it standout for me.
The only thing holding it back from 5 stars for me I guess was I would’ve liked to see a bit more of that coveted sausage and maybe bigger chunks, also I do need to say that the XL is 16″ not your standard 18″ family size. That’s it.
This Pizza is awesome and I will go out of my way to have this every time I hit Midway.

Sweet treat when I’m visiting relatives. I’ve been coming here for years and the pizza is always great. Rick, Rich and Tim have always been good to us when we visit. This is by far a neighborhood treasure.
The ambiance is definitely old school décor. They have pictures of all the neighborhood trick or treat kids for every year. You can see them making your pizzas as well.
We asked about par bake and they stated it can be done! They have shipped to Ohio amongst other places, FYI.
Pizza is great tasting. I personally like the thin crunchy pizza. Sauce is quality with fresh ingredients and they have their own family made sausage. The texture is perfect with every bite. It’s way on top of my list for good pizza in Chicago.

Called in for a pick up order. I asked if the coupons were still valid and the man said yes.
I ordered a XL King Arthur and Box of wings with fries and I would get a free 1 liter pop. I asked to use the $ 2 off coupon and the guy told me to use the XL one topping pizza and box of wings with fries and 2 liter pop for $ 21.99 and just pay for the extra topping prices for a better price. So, I went with that.
After I hung up, I even told my guy that he was nice and even suggested what coupon to use to save.
Ok, so my guy goes to pick it up and when he came back he thought it was a bit more expensive than he expected. He said it was like over $ 30. Made me think.

I think it could’ve been a mistake, but I think the guy would know the menu enough to know which was a better deal. I know the difference is about $ 2, but left a bad taste in my mouth.
The wings were a bit salty and the fries were meh. Skip these! Also, I asked for only half green peppers on the pizza, but they made the whole pizza with.
Pizza was still pretty good though.
