A more convenient alternative for Northsiders than the Division Street Russian Bath House, Paradise Sauna provides many of the same services, including a really hot sauna, really cold dunk, massages, etc. My wife has been there many times to get massages and body scrubs and likes it, so I checked out the men’s side for the first time this weekend.
It’s larger than Division Street also, and gets more crowded. It also seems a bit cleaner and well-​lit, while losing a lot of the sense of history that goes along with Division Street.
One thing about it that I didn’t like, though, was the weird vibe I was getting from some of the guys. I’m not gay, and this is DEFINITELY not a gay bath house. But some of the fellows were obviously checking out the other guys. It made it kind of awkward. There is absolutely NONE of that going on at the Old World, Eastern European Division Street Bath House.
I’ll probably be back because it’s a 5 minute drive from my house, but Paradise Sauna could really use some of the Russian Mafia vibe that you get at Division.
$ 20 for all-​day admission to the sauna
$ 100 for a 30 minute body scrub, 60 minute massage, and all-​day sauna admission.

Old fashioned bath house akin to the Russian variety. My Russian partner likes to visit here for his skin. Steam room is very, repeat very, hot. I went but could not take it – would not recommend to folks with heart problems. They also have massage, hot and cold spas, and a sauna. Regulars are social with one another. One of the regulars has been a Korean man who is 104!
One negative experience he had here was spotting a rat grinning at him from on top of a locker. Probably from the restaurant in front. He notificed the management and has never seen another.

This is a traditional Korean bath house. 20 bucks for tub dunking, steam room, sauna– stay all day and try not to faint. You can always opt for extra services for extra money– salt scrubs, shiatsu massage… ect. I was a little nervous being nude but forgot about it quickly. The old women seemed to be cool with it so I joined in too.
