Paddy Mac’s is a great neighborhood bar. Bartenders make sure they get your name and remember it the next time you go back. Live entertainment on Saturday nights is excellent. The regular crowd is great. Make sure you take a look at the menu and order, it is definitely not your typical«bar food.» Your food is made to order, and be sure to try the«Spicy Chicken Sandwich,» it is out of this world. The«Salmon Wrap» is an excellent choice for something on the«lighter side.» Stop in on a Saturday, and have one of their bloody marys. Plenty of Flat Screen TV’S to watch the Blackhawks, Cubs, Bulls, Bears, and any of your college teams play. Nice patio to to sit when, the weather is nice.

Food is good. I like their burgers. Crowd is kind of boring. staff very nice, it’s a bar you would start getting tipsy before you go to the crazy wild bars and get hammered.

Affordable food, nice crowd, great staff and weekly deals! Recently moved into the neighborhood and this was the perfect summer game nights, live music, or just drinks with neighbors and friends. It has allot of regulars which makes the place feel very relaxed. Look for their daily deals!

Food was good for bar food. The bartender was more focused on her phone than on customers so we went down the street to have another drink. Generally this place caters to the local crowd and if you are not an insider you get treated a bit differently. Still not a bad place for an unpretentious drink.

I go here every day with my fiancé for lunch(we work a few blocks away). The food is always consistently good. I usually get the fish and chips or the veggie burger. Donna, the bartender, is one of our favorite people EVER. She is super sweet and very attentive. Keep up the good work guys!

They took care of the smell but only back to 3 stars because service has been lax lately.

Great neighborhood bar with tasty food. They have weekly specials and their burgers are really good. Nice little stop in after a long week of work. Good prices.

This is my neighborhood pub. Reasonably priced, solid beer selection, some good burgers, the game is ALWAYS on. This bar is always friendly and people come here for a good time. They have specials through the week on food and beverage, the occasional band, and a jukebox. During the summer they have an outdoor patio that is dog friendly, and after 9pm they usually let dogs in the main bar. In Chicago you have to have a corner bar, and this one is mine.

Today I came in after coming here a few times to meet up with my boyfriend for a drink and some food. It was slightly busy but the bartender seemed a bit overwhelmed. She didn’t know what a black & blue was even though there’s a poster in the bar stating what beers it contains. The food took waaaaaay too long, about an hour for a burger(which is the Monday special) and the fried chicken sandwich. I asked for the burger cooked medium. It came out well done and one side was burned. I ate it since by that time I was hungry from waiting so long. The bartender ended up covering one round of beers for us since the food took so long. The place where we sat was right by the bar sink. Every time it was used, there was an awful smell of sewage that came up. We definitely want to come back since we live in the neighborhood but something really needs to be done about the smell in the bar sink.

Great food, kind servers, placed a to-go order that cost $ 7.50, handed the guy $ 20 and got back $ 11.25. I not a wiz in math but any idiot would know this doesn’t add up. Not penny pinching but wish the server would’ve allowed me to leave the tip and not take it out on the sneak side.

A neighborhood staple, but not a destination. The Regulars and daily meal specials are most of the place’s charms. The Staff are accommodating and competent.

If you are near Cicero and Irving Park and have a hankering for some pub grub and a cold beer Paddy Mac’s will do you right. I stopped in for their Tuesday Night Open Mic and was greeted by a welcoming bartender. «A pint and a shot please» I requested and in return my order all served up with a smile. After a few beers, songs and shots, I already felt like I was family here at Paddy’s. Paddy’s has great beers and even better beer specials. $ 2 Domestics on Tuesday sounds good to me. If you hankering for an Irish Bar with pub grub, great specials, an open mic and all this served up with a smile, then Paddy’s is the place for you.

I live like three feet away, so it’s logical that I come in fairly often, especially since another nearby place(Goofy’s/The Hock Shoppe) frightened me away with their abominable service. This is a solid neighborhood place to be sure. I usually come on Thursdays, when they have 50 cent wings. The wings are generally pretty good, but a little inconsistent. I’ve had several other things on the menu and I can’t complain, and they are trying to be a little bit creative with the bison burger and the new«Super Burger»(mixed with mushroom, onion, and bell pepper). Service is good as well. I think they only hire blondes to work here, but I’m not going to complain about it. All of them are pretty on the ball, and tolerant of my friends who tend to get a bit over the top at times(never me, though, of course!) My only complaint is that they have an open mic night on Tuesdays. I don’t want to hear the work of a rogue’s gallery of musicians play whatever covers they feel like playing that day. Take it to the Beatnik Lounge, fellas(I don’t think that’s a real place, but it should be so that they can go elsewhere). But any other day of the week, I’d recommend it.

Very nice place — not intimidating for a lady to go alone, food specials, kitchen open til 10pm, beer and hard liquor specials, unique beers & liquors, wifi, board games, kid friendly, field trips, and I’m sure something else I forgot. They have on hand 50 or more beers so you’ll surely find one you like. The women’s washroom could use some repair work yet it’s clean and«fine.» Go Mondays for the $ 4 burger special that INCLUDES tater tots(!) or fries. I get salad instead for $ 1 more or you can get curly fries. Order the burger Medium as it will come to you medium-well, it’s so hot. Also, Fridays is their fish fry with all u can eat for $ 9. Deelish! They use Cod which is a better quality fish. Chef Luis does a damn fine job in all his creations… he is off Tues/Wed…be advised. It is ON the corner of Pulaski and Berteau, contrary to what Unilocal says AND the bus stops right here!

Live about 5 minutes away from this place. Good place to have a brew and grab some grub. Really recommend their fried tater tots. Nice daily specials too. Try it out. Beats the Squared Circle easily!

As I drove past Paddy Mac’s the first time, I wondered if it was just too cute on the outside and I would be disappointed if I actually went in and had a beer and a bite. Nope, Paddy Mac’s is a great little neighborhood tavern with decent food specials, a feisty bartender, traditional pub fare, and a few good beers on tap. It’s clean, charming, and good place to enjoy a cheap but tasty lunch. I had a few pints of Revolution(I believe they were $ 3 a piece, not bad for a craft brew) and the spicy grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich exceeded my expectations: it had a nice spicy rub, some pickled jalapenos, melted cheese, and a house made chipotle aioli that was excellent. The ciabatta bun was soft and fresh, and the side of tots complemented the sandwich quite nicely.(When I say«side,» it actually could have fed three people… a very generous portion.) But most of all, the chicken was moist and tender, not dried out, gristly, or funky tasting as is common at other bars. If you don’t know what I mean, consider yourself lucky. If memory serves, my bill was around $ 15. Not bad at all for two beers and a delicious sammy with a huge side of taters. I’ll be back to Paddy Mac’s fo sho.

Was there last night and was there only for drinks… this is the typical dive bar/neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other and the bartender. They have cheap drinks($ 3 Sam Adams pints during September) and a bunch of other specials. My friend got a burger which he said was decent, nothing out of the ordinary. I saw that Mondays they have $ 4 burgers and Fridays some sort of fried fish special which my friends(who are regular patrons here) said it was good and I had to come back to try. Will probably be back again on a Friday to try out the food. I liked the laidback ambiance and that there are always specials to take advantage of.

This is my new neighborhood bar after moving in across the street. Prior to moving within spitting distance of this place, I was a few blocks away. Independence Tap used to be the neighborhood joint that I’d wander in to if I needed a drink at not home, but I discovered that you get giant portions of inexpensive food at Paddy Macs while watching the Blackhawks playoff games there(the curse of no cable!). Food — not gourmet(for example, that medium rare burger will lean toward well done), but the fish and chips are decent and nachos are always good. Also, insanely inexpensive. Beer — I can always find something on tap to drink — solid Revolution selection, as well as some seasonals. If they run out, there’s a decent can/bottle menu as well. Service — quick, polite, and friendly. But not overly friendly, either. This definitely pulls in the neighborhood crowd, so you will see the same faces every time you go there. Aside from the smattering of weird old dudes, it’s not so bad. I wouldn’t go here if I wasn’t in walking distance or a short drive away, but I haven’t had a bad time here either.

Paddy Macs in Irving Park has some good craft brew. Friendly service. Ok bar food. For the summer, they have a great outdoor deck too. If you’re around, a must try. Get a Three Floyd’s beer and a grilled tuna steak sandwich or bison burger.
