Norm is a great barber I went there for the first time a week ago and let me tell you, this guy does take his time making sure you get your beard and hair cut done right. Plus his conversation makes better he’s been around the block long enough, i really like it and definitely will be back.

Talk about going back, way back. I often wondered when I was little, growing up in Bucktown, why was it that the Barber shops always smelled like old spice and how they used pomade on your hair. Well, if you often wondered why old school is the way it is, than this is it. Norm has always been old school and still has it all«old school». He doesn’t change it up at all, which of course, in another setting would be death. But for Norm, sticking to the original scrip certainly is worth it and the conversations you have with him are amazing. Although he is getting up there in age and I know that sooner or later he will close shop(since lately he hasn’t been opening all days like in the past), I still make sure I make it once in a while so that I remember where I came from. My grand-pop would of loved Norm, as he is still in a place that no longer happens in Chicago. He doesn’t use fancy scissors nor expensive clippers. He still uses his old supplies probably given to him by his dad, but they are super clean as he is. If you ever visit Norm, you will see that he is probably less then most of the barbers or beauticians are in the area(Wow, they are still called that). But tip accordingly, as his stories are worth it all the way. And might I add, his haircuts(very simple) are perfect.
