First time here. I ordered just a gyro with everything. I wasn’t sure how it was going to be. I rushed to get home to eat it and found myself with a great big smile! It was delicious! Very hot and tasty! Definitely will be back and try other items!

I absolutely love love LOVE this place! Excellent food and excellent service! Usually I go with a cheeseburger but their Italian beef is awesome. The large fries are a generous amount. Just moved to the area and by far, this is one of our favorite places.

Solid gyro. The baklava is made in house and is most excellent. The younger guy who is usually taking your order is very nice. The cook with the glasses always seems kinda pissed but that could just be the way he always looks.

I remember this place to be good growing up. I was craving a gyro dinner plate recently and went here only be met with disappointment. The crinkle cut, soggy-like fries, gyro meat that was cut too thin, and tzatziki sauce that was way too runny and not very flavorful. I’ll be taking my gyro cravings elsewhere!

If you like greasy fast food that’s reasonable in price come here. My husband loves the gyros and the cheeseburgers are good too.

Best gyro I ever had. Won’t go anywhere else. Been coming here since I was little with my dad and uncle. I used to come here a lot in high school. Now I come here once in a while with my boyfriend, always when in the mood for a gyro. Other food is good too. The staff is friendly. Love that its walking distance from my home. Will miss it when I move!

Me and the boyfriend were in the area looking for a relatively quick bite to eat, and this certainly hit the spot. Nick’s kind of reminds me of a joint that doesn’t get recognized all that often because it lacks flair and could probably use a makeover(there was a… hole in one side of the window that could use some repair) but when you’re in the mood for some typical Greek fare this is a good choice and won’t break the bank. The menu is kind of vast and it can be hard to sort out exactly WHAT you want if you try to read it all. Had some barbecue chicken(half) and gyros here and the chicken was done perfectly, the sauce was tasty and so were the gyros. Chicken was served with some garlic bread which is smashed(on purpose it looks like) and had a good flavor to it as well. I would come back here again, though the area you have to drive through just to get here is way too congested on a daily basis.

I’ve been going here since I was 13 years old… I’m 34 now(I’m old, awesome). Nick’s has never let me down. They’re my «go-to» clutch fast food joint when I’m yearning for a gyro and crinkle-cut fries. Please don’t ever go out of business, if you do — I will resort to a life of crime. I don’t want that to happen, you don’t want that to happen. Please let’s not let that happen. Keep making your delicious gyros. Thank you.

I’ve lived in the area for over 10 years and always go back to Nick’s Gyross. They have the best gyros I’ve ever had. I’m definitely going to keep going there for 10 more years.

It was cold and rainy so I came to eat here. Food is greasy and cheap. Tasted pretty good overall. Had a cheeseburger and some cheese fries. Very authentic tasting good food. Better than others around there like natalies on nagle

I’ve been stopping by here for Gyros for years as they have the best ones in the neighborhood.(I cant say anything about the other food choices as I have never tried anything else). I tend to basically have a craving for a gyro once in a while, and if I go anywhere else I’m always disappointed as I compare it to the ones I get here. It’s not too cheap(about $ 7 for a gyro with fries) but they really pack it in there. I hate places that give you like 4 slices of meat(sometimes just grilled lol).

I hate that this place is at the end of my block and their food isn’t good. I was hoping for a fast convenient place but it really isn’t any good. Italian beef is disgusting! It was thick and chewy like rubber. Gyros aren’t good and their soup, everytime, is like water. Tonight, I ended up back there for another less than pleasing meal. Why? Well, its the night of the big Chicago winter storm and on my way to a restaurant on Harlem, every street light and business lost power(on Harlem). I was ready to just go home and unfortunately he suggested just going here since we didn’t have anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste the $ 25. If you want great beef, go to Mr. Beef at Irving park and Harlem.

Places like this remind me of my dads when I was younger, a greek resturaunt where the food was good… I had a skirt steak sandwhich with fries and drink. Good, filling and made me sleepy. Cashier was tlakative and the other funny thing was that one of the spanish guys working there used to work for my dad back in the day. So added nostalgia. Flat screen tv in there was nice if you wanted to relax. On the NW corner in a small strip mall with a subway there and across from the CVS. Not bad for a last minute stop. Don’t remember if they have breakfast so I am not putting it down there. But you can call if you really want to know.

Nick’s has been my favorite place in Chicago for gyros and Greek Chicken for going on 20 years. They used to be on Crawford, but then I started going to their Harlam and Nagle locations. The food is always fresh and consistently good! Its fast food, but the quality easily rivals and exceeds«sit down fare» that is 2 – 4 times the price. Nick, don’t every change a thing! PS Chili Cheese Dogs are some of the best tasting anywhere as well

This review is for THEGYROSONLY. So I was in the neighborhood and kinda hungry. I pulled over and asked this guy who looked like lead singer of Def Leppard, «Yo, where’s a decent place to eat ova he?» He suggested Nick’s but warned me that it was expensive. It actually was pricey for a fast food joint, but you get what you pay for. I ordered a gyros sandwich to go. The only other place I’d grab a gyro is Hub’s, but now I have two places. The meat was perfectly cooked, not thrown on the grill to finish it off(I HATEPLACESTHATDOTHAT!) and really, really tasty. It was a little over $ 5, but it was well worth it. Heck, it may be worth the drive back to Norwood Park!
