Upon arriving, check-in is within Intro. From there you are escorted through the kitchen and into the old L20 private dining area, which has been tastefully redecorated.(Ambiance — 4 stars) Service was great, especially considering the restaurant had just opened.(Service — 4 stars) Drinks were also great — we ordered a sake flight and their miso old fashions. For food we primarily ordered sashimi and nigiri. None of the fish quality was very good. Some even tasted fishy. Also ordered one spicy tuna roll and got exactly that — nothing new or inventive there.(Food — 2 stars) While service and ambiance was great, the food left a lot to be desired. With all the great sushi restaurants in Chicago this one is not worth a return trip.

Loved Naoki Sushi! Beautiful rolls and sashimi. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The edamame«guac» was unique and a perfect way to start. We loved all of the sashimi we tried(specialty– the kampachi and naoki-the scallop were both awesome). Our favorite roll was the spicy shrimp and salmon and the miso glazed sea bass was the best fish entrée we have ever had. We were also impressed with their cocktails– my husband got the happy sumo which he loved and I got the the cucumber tsukemono(fresh ginger, lime, green chili vodka, and sake) which was amazing! We will be back.

Loved Naoki from the second I sat down. Amazing, intimate ambience. Cocktails were to die for but take awhile because the bar covers Intro and Naoki. Food was incredible. Do not skip the edamame guac! We tried all of the specialty nigiri and it was hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had. We tried the spicy tuna and king crab hand rolls and both were so delicious. The waitress told us Naoki has his own special rice recipe and it shows. It was incredible. We tried the spicy shrimp and salmon maki which was the best way to end the meal. Mango sorbet for dessert and the head chef greeted us at our table and wore a cowboy hat most of the night, very funny. Wish I had the money to go back!
