I have two different feelings about this place. I would give five stars to my most recent experience with their banquets and events but their day-to-day restaurant would probably hang out at a 2 or 3 because service on a normal night is usually pretty bad(despite excellent food) so I went with a four. My recent event was awesome. They were so accomodating in communicating, allowing me to decorate, drop things off for the party, and make my requests available for me. Beth and Alex helped the nights of my party and were excellent in replenishing food and working the bar. They are very accomodating and made the night go smooth and flawlessly. I have nothing but positive things to say about them and their assistance. Only downside is that Moretti’s has some of the best pizza around and the heating lamps definitely dried those suckers out, but this was a small hiccup. Definitely plan to go back for other events like baby or bridal showers… they made the party amazing!

Another long-time customer who is becoming frustrated with the decline in food quality at this restaurant was once again disappointed. The wife and I eat here at least once a week and we have been there on three separate Thursday nights over the past two months and to be able to order the«steak and bake» special. Tonight I ordered the the steak and bake special and when I asked if their was any real gravy for the mashed potatoes the waitress replied no. I have asked for gravy in the past and was served the beef juice from Italian beefs pooled in the middle of the mountain of mashed potatoes. The plate turned into a sloppy mess. So I declined the«au jus» and asked for extra butter for the potatoes. The plate arrived with the mountain of mashed and a side cup of butter. I attempted to spread the butter over the potatoes and my first bite told me that the reason the butter wasn’t melting is that the mashed potatoes were cold to touch. Sending it back would delay an already long wait for the food. I know it’s my fault for ordering the same thing again. Last time the home made«baked» onion soup had enough salt in it to give it the immediate spit out and when the server was told he replied he’d let the kitchen know. Last week the Friday fish fry left me with two small cooked pieces and two gummy battered not fried enough pieces. That too was answered with«I’ll let the kitchen know, not replaced or other comment. There are two new Italian restaurants opened recently in the area and one can only wonder if this is the reason for the decline in food quality and lack of patrons or is the quality of the food the reason two restaurants have been able to make a go of it.

Very accommodating and staff went well above and beyond for our group that started as 20 and grew to 30. I called in the request day of and without much notice on a Friday night. Our group was 10 adults &20 kids — the nightmare call for a busy restaurant to receive! They could not have been more gracious or patient. Moretti’s goes out of their way to support their neighborhood and their customers. The food is excellent across the board, and the bar service is equally fantastic. The extra mile they always seem to accept though is what sets them apart from just about any typical restaurant bar or grill. It may be why ‘average’ doesn’t cut it in Edison Park. This is a 5 star review that deserves more because of the extra mile that few seem to appreciate. Thank You Moretti’s

I have been to Moretti’s many times and have never been disappointed until yesterday. I ordered the Baked Zitti and it was terrible. It was very salty and spicy hot like they added a bunch of crushed red pepper in it. I ate a third of it and my mouth was burning for awhile that night. Needless to say I did not take that crap home. The waiter never asked how my meal was or why I did not want to take my food home. I don’t know if they changed how they make their pasta and seasoning choices or if I just got a bad dish — but it sucked and I doubt I will return.

First I want to say I do love morettis food but in my recent order of their garlic mashed potatoes I found a piece of metal. Not too fond of finding things in my food that don’t belong.

The worst attitude from the DJ. My group of 9 girls left the dance floor because of his attitude and won’t be back. Happy to take our dancing and money elsewhere.

Went here for there half of pizza Tuesday. So you can get a top notch, high quality pizza for two people for under 10 bucks. Needless to say, we got the thin crust pizza, cheese, and it was delicious. Totally what I want from a pizza, good crust, mild sauce, and quality cheese. Service was very very prompt and consistent, the place was clean, and the alcoholic drink had a good amount of alcohol in it. I didn’t try the pasta but saw it and def want to try it. In sum, this place was awesome

Stumbled upon Moretti’s on a night out with friends after our GPS took us on quite the adventure. We had tried to go to some of their competitors but fate wasn’t having that and I’m glad that was the case. So after 3 other stops, we landed here in Edison Park and the nice complimentary valet service took our car while we went inside to behold their gigantic restaurant. The place was packed(Saturday Night), but they had room to spare and huge TVs to watch games on, plus a few bars in addition to the restaurant seating. The hostess and other staff were friendly and we had a booth in only a few minutes. While the wait at times was a little slow and we needed to ask a few times for basic necessities(napkins, plates, etc) it was forgiveable considering how hopping things were. The food menu will make your eyes light up from the delicious descriptions; scrumptious sounding pastas, pizza toppings, and a score of unique appetizers. We started with the fried calamari and baked stuffed mushrooms. Extremely generous portions for both, especially the former, and they were as good as advertised. The mushrooms spicy sausage, spinach, and cheesy tomato sauce came together wonderfully in juicy, crumbly bites that made me want to come back for it alone. For dinner we split a 14″ Deep Dish Pizza that had Italian Sausage, Italian Roast Beef, Hot Giardiniera, and Pepperoni. Not for the faint of heart, but heaven for sure. The pizza didn’t take forever like some Chicago chains and was mouth-watering to all three of us. We had asked them to cut it into 9 pieces but they forgot, yet thankfully that didn’t matter as we couldn’t finish it since every piece felt like eating an entire pie. The 14″ is a great size for 3 people to eat and have a little leftovers. Our bill was also just right, $ 50 for the three of us which included a drink or two and all the above delectables. Moretti’s has got my vote and I will definitely be back for a return visit to try the pasta next time I’m in town. Mama Mia!

Poor service with sassy, passive-aggressive bartenders. You can keep your breadsticks.

Two stars for their great outdoor patio, minus ten stars for their service. We used to be regulars, but no more. Food other than pizza really isn’t very good, and you’ll be lucky to get it cooked correctly. A long serial string of disappointing and maddening dining experiences.

Horrible experience. I’m sitting at the bar while I write this review being ignored by both bartenders. I guess, they don’t want tips. The place isn’t even packed and they will pass by you without offering another drink, while your glass is clearly empty. Both the male and female«bartenders» are awfully rude. Won’t be back. drinks suck.

Went here tonight with a group of friends to watch the Cubs game. We chose Moretti’s because the place is huge and has lots of big screens, the pizza is good and they had drink specials. An Absolut Bloody Mary was $ 5 with a beer chaser and 20oz Miller Lites were $ 3. This was all listed on their website. When we got there the line was out the door. We had a 45 minute wait ahead of us so we went up to the bar to order drinks. The Bloody Mary’s were $ 5 but no beer chaser. Since it was standing room only we didn’t complain. We were finally seated and placed our order for food and drinks. When the bill came, none of our beer was $ 3, and we were charged the wrong prices for our food. When we pointed it out to the waitress she said she would have the manager come over. We explained to him that per his website the specials included $ 320oz Miller Lites but we were charged $ 5 and our food prices were off. He made me pull it up on my phone to show him and then said we had an outdated menu for food prices at our table. He ended up crediting the bill but made us feel like we were just trying to get money taken off. He took the old bill and said he would be back with the new bill. 30 minutes later we had to track the waitress down to try and get the new bill. We were disappointed in the way it was handled. We come here often for pizza, but probably won’t be back. It shouldn’t be the customer’s job to point out your specials or menu pricing. And when they do point it out, an apology should be in the response.

Longtime customer, have not been in awhile and so disappointed with our visit last night felt compelled to share this as a warning. Food quality and choices very good. Service was so lacking, they seemed very understaffed and the few servers they had were ineffective and appeared untrained. Kept forgetting to bring things they said they would such as plates to share pizza, salad dressing that should have come with salad, drinks ordered before apps arrived with main course. It was really rough. Disappointing, food and outdoor seating will Get me back for another chance. If experience is close to this will have to check it off the list and not return.

So where do I begin! I’ve been coming to Edison park Moretti’s for 25 years. I must say the place looks nice great job on the rehab. So me and my date wanted to sit outside. I left my name went over to a make shift bar with no bartenders . The waiting staff stops by to see if you need a drink. We sat there for 20 minutes and watched the staff wait on other people that came after us. Walk by us stared at us but never once ask us for anything! We valet my new convertible with the top down. Caught the outdoor patio’s eyes. We where we’ll dressed so makes me wonder why nobody would wait on us! I even checked my arm Pitts to see if I smelled but my date reassure me I smelled nice. We finally were seated to where our waitresse was very nice checked on us came by us in a timely manner. My feelings Staff has no leadership, to many teenagers that have no clue. Good luck on your visit! !!!

Came for a late night date and drinks. Ended up ordering the thin crust sausage pizza. OHEM G. So good. We weren’t even hungry and we ate a whole medium. Beers were decently priced too. Saturday night was kinda slow but well worth it for the pizza. I mean there was literally 2 other tables and it was only 10pm. Either way, good food. Not so much the ambiance.

Huge bar and restaurant, great for sports events. Was there for the last game of NHL finals, when the Hawks won! There was a great atmosphere. Good choice of draft beers, and food is good for value. We ordered a deep dish, which was not exceptional but stilk very good. Waiters were very nice as well, even though the place was extremely busy that night. It’s a good plus! Thanks guys

Writing this while sitting at the main bar enjoying a Little Sumpin Sumpin on draft while they make my pizza. I first came to Moretti’s about 2001 with my coworkers after softball to have pizza and play sports trivia. Thin crust pizza is really good bar pizza. Cheesy and delicious. Deep dish or pan is just the same pizza made in a pan, and it’s nothing special. I would recommend just getting the thin crust. Order your favorite toppings and you will enjoy a solid pizza. They have a decent beer selection with lagunitas and green line. The outdoor beer garden is quite the highlight. They have recently renovated this area, and also opened up into the rest of the building. So now is the time to come see the new Moretti’s. It’s hard not to give this place 5 stars because they have great pizza, good beer, and a beautiful space.
