It’s amazing what a difference a day makes. I was going to write this review earlier today and it was going to be 5 stars and warm and fuzzy. A few hours later and here we are at 1 which might be too high. I went in to help my girlfriend’s parents move into the modern world of phones. They had old«dumb» phones that were 3+ years old and were dropping calls, battery weren’t holding a charge, etc. Mario is the Manager of this store and was extremely patient and helpful. He spent close to 3 hrs helping them pick out new phones explaining the differences between them over and over. He was truly great.(5 stars right?). So they picked out 3 new phones and had some sticker shock with prices of phones and we were a bit surprised they had to pay so much for these phones as they were out of contract by a year. Mario kept saying you can’t get any phones free but you should call customer support to have them help negotiate a better rate plan as 6 yr plus Verizon customers. He never once mentioned he was not a Verizon store but an authorized dealer for Verizon dba Mobile Generation. Maybe it’s our bad and we should have known and being a Unilocal user I should have looked at reviews. So one of the phones they wanted wasn’t in stock(lucky for us!). Today the last phone was picked up but we didn’t have the old phone for that number to pull contacts etc. Tonight they go to an actual Verizon dealer who tells them of course they can have all 3 phones for free. THAT’S OVERAN $ 800SAVINGS!!! Never once did Mario come out and say directly«We are not an actual or corporate store». There were comments such as you need to call customer service and they can help you in contract prices. As someone who is selling the brand, comes up under searches as Verizon Wireless it’s pretty shady they would pass themselves off as something they aren’t when you could save lots of $$$ by going elsewhere. It’s a business and I get it but it is a business that I would give a miss if you want to get a straight deal and the best possible deal as a customer. Also a pretty sad impact on Verizon. Why would they let someone rob and steal using their brand. In summary if you need a case or charger in an emergency stop in otherwise save yourself some serious $$$ and go to an actual Verizon dealer. We will be going back one last time and that is to get our $$$ back and then follow our own advice. Rather than paying $ 800+ for phones and having a 2 year contract the 3 phones are free, no contract needed and we are talking about top of the line phones(5s, One M8&S5). In addition we were then charged $ 120 to restock our phones. That is $ 35 for each phone and a $ 5 per SIM card fee. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I love this store because the staff is always extremely nice and eager to help or answer any and all questions that I have. They’re really professional and very customer service oriented. Plus, I don’t have to wait over an hour to be helped like I do at corporate stores.

DON’T GOHERE! First of all this isn’t a real Verizon store, it’s an «authorized dealer.» Essentially you will not be able to branch up with other Verizon stores, and thus will be forced to have to come to this one every time. I went in to get the Iphone 5 and since I have yet to get a credit card, I was told that I needed to put down a $ 400 deposit that i would be reimbursed in a year given that I pay my bill on time. So I put down the deposit. They then called me later that day to let me know that they were unable to order the Iphone 5 to the store for people who put down a deposit, so I decided that I would just have them reimburse me instead of waiting for a shipment of Iphone 5’s to the store. Since I paid in cash($ 618 total), they told me they would send me a check that would arrive in 5 – 7 days. ITSBEEN3FRIGGINWEEKS! Hello authorized dealers of the Verizon on Irving Park, THISISNOTCHUMPCHANGE, where the hell is my check, get your act together! Your business = HORRORSTORY

I’m not sure where these«curteous and informed sales reps» are, as mentioned in another review. The place was completely desolate when I went in with no one coming out to help me while waiting for several minutes. Their product line also seemed a bit dated and disorganized. It also doesn’t help that it’s located at terrible intersection that’s always congested.

Hands down THEBEST Verizon location in the city. The most courteous and informed sales reps– helpful and resourceful. I will never return to the bogged down location of North Avenue or the crappy outpost on Lincoln and Belmont, again. This location is different. Always parking in front. Never a long wait. They always put the customer first. The employees know their stuff and seem to like their jobs(wow!). I have been a long time Verizon customer and have had customer services from great to horrific– this location is where you will find the great, efficient service, educated staff, and well stocked shelves. This VERIZON location is 5 Star.
