I adore Lucy. She is by far the very best stylist I’ve ever been to. She stays up to date on all the newest trends and techniques. She is so detail driven. She never rushes and books the appropriate amount of time to do her job perfectly. If you are looking for a new stylist, you will not go wrong here.

Lucy is in a beautiful new salon suite! Lucy continues to take courses and stay up to date on the latest trends, but best of all she is still the most talented and nicest stylist I have ever had. She always listens carefully and makes me look and feel gorgeous!

Lucy is the best cut and color in the city. I usually change stylists after a few years, but I can’t switch. She is an expert with color and it’s always spot on. Very natural. She is the only colorist I know that can keep me from showing dark roots before it’s time for the next appt. I highly recommend. Also the salon is easy to find and parking is good.

I have been going to Lucy for more years than I can recall. She is great. Has dealt with my often unruly curly hair, always giving me a great cut and does the best blowouts. I also appreciate that she even said my «at home color» job is working nicely and has not tried to sell me on a full color treatment for my sporadic grays!

Lucy is fantastic. She is extremely patient and makes sure she understand exactly what you are looking for and then she delivers 100%. Her skills with color and cut are astounding. I always walk out of there feeling like a million bucks, and so happy because my hair looks exactly like I want it to look! And I’m super picky! I have followed Lucy for years because she is that good. Cannot recommend her any higher!

Lucy rocks! I wanted to take my hair from ombré to all over blonde highlights and she made it happen. The color came out great! I also got about 3.5 — 4 inches of hair cut and that turned out really nice as well. She was knowledgeable about the color brand she used, the shampoo and conditioner, and she recommended a treatment that was totally worth it (a sort of color seal-​in for $ 35). I had been going to the same stylist for almost 10 years before I moved to Chicago, and finding someone new was an intimidating process. After weeks of searching, I found Lucy and she is incredible!
Lucy does a great job coloring and cutting and everything technique-​wise, but what I appreciate the most is her ability to work with you to get you exactly what you want. She feels a very obvious sense of accountability to her work, and I appreciate that. My hair is naturally light blonde, so when I came in wanting to go a little bit darker Lucy was hesitant. I listened to her and let her go a more subtle route. The next time I went in we went a little bit darker with the color, but it was again a process and I knew she was really considering our options.
Another reviewer suggested that you bring pictures and I think that if you want any color with Lucy that’s a must. She works in a very visual way, and every picture you can provide will help.
Lucy is a GREAT stylist– definitely worth a try :)

I love Lucy P. and so does my hair!
I first met Lucy over 6 years ago at a previous salon, and have followed her ever since. She has cut my hair at long, medium and super short lengths and each time I love it and get a ton of compliments. My hair is wavy and somewhat difficult to manage, but Lucy knows how to make it look it’s best. I’ve also gotten highlights and color from Lucy — again, awesome.
She’s great at listening to what you want, and giving suggestions about what would look best on you. I would recommend Lucy to anyone! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair!

Ever since I moved to Chicago, I’ve always been one of those guys who’d walk in to a local great clips for a cheap $ 10 haircut. When my Brother got married in September, my wife told me to give Lucy a try. I am so glad I listened to her advice.
There are many reasons why I highly recommend Lucy. First, she is extremely personable and gives great haircuts. Just by talking to Lucy, you can tell that making people look good is a passion for her. She has a very user-​friendly website that gives customers full access to her schedule so that you can book an appointments online. I’ve been to Lucy about five times since September and never once had to wait.
Unlike my wife who can go three months without a haircut, I need mine cut roughly every month. What is great about Lucy is that she offers a free cleanup in-​between haircuts that is more or less a haircut of its own. This allows me to go 7 — 8 weeks between appointments. When I ask Lucy why she doesn’t charge for the cleanup service, she always answers that she doesn’t mind because «she loves cutting hair and enjoys making people look good».
Another great thing about Lucy is that she runs her own business. What I like about this is that when you go to pay for the cut, you know your money it is going to a great, hardworking person and not some salon who probably pockets most of the bill. I could probably write more about Lucy but actually have to leave for a haircut with her so better stop typing!!!

it has been roughly 1+½ months since my cut & style with lucy. i gotta say, still lovin’ it.
a suggestion: BRING PICS of what you want your hair to do/​look like. i’ve been to lots + lots of salons trying to find a stylist to at least mimic my last stylist who is no longer in chicago.
most stylists s-​e-​e-​m to be listening to you when you talk about what you hate, like about, what your hair does when it’s humid, etc. well, weeks later, my layers + cut are testament to her experience + know-​how + listening skills. she gets it. and i recommend definitely getting a cut from her!

I don’t know what this woman did to my hair. All I did was go in for a trim and by the end of the week,(after a few washes) my hair is still shiny and bouncy! She asked a lot of questions about maintenance and had sound advice. She is easy to talk to and made me feel at ease. The hair products she sells are inexpensive and contain quality ingredients. She’s a keeper. Now, I walk down the street like Willow Smith whipping hair! Thanks Lucy!
