I was hesitant to switch stylists after several years at the same salon. When I met Lynzie, my concerns were immediately alleviated. Her passion, and wealth of knowledge, were evident from the start. I typically wear my hair straight, but was interested in experimenting with my curls. Lynzie talked me through exactly how she was cutting my hair, and the rationale behind the styling. She took time to explain the process of producing the best curl, and how to replicate this at home. I walked out of the salon with the best, and most versatile, haircut I had ever received. My biggest regret is that I didn’t find Lynzie sooner!

Lynzie has been coloring and cutting my hair for about 4 years, and I’ve been extremely happy each and every time I’ve walked away from her chair. She is surely a color specialist– all of my friends I’ve recommended to her could never go anywhere else after her either. I have naturally brown hair and this photo shows the consistently naturally-​appearing blonde she gives me every time!

Lynzie is really a transformational stylist. She has done my hair and makeup for television appearances, as well as photography shoots. She is incredibly on-​trend, and shows each client pictures of prospective styles before she goes to work. You will never feel more confident than you do when Lynzie does your hair and/​or makeup!

So not to sound redundant… but if you are a curly girl struggling with your hair you really MUST go see Lynzie of LS Hair & Makeup Design!!! When I first went to see her I was really frustrated with my hair. It is naturally curly in some areas, frizzy in others, and even borderline straight in some. When left to it’s own devices, it’s quite… interesting. When I sought out Lynzie, I had been alternatively straightening my hair and curling it with a curling iron almost every day for 18 months… so needless to say it was incredibly damaged. She introduced me to the right products for my hair to bring back the health and curl. She gave me my first ‘dry cut’ working with the natural curl so I felt more confident to wear it naturally curly. Slowly but surely the health and vitality of my hair came back, and then surpassed anything I’d ever experienced before. And Lynzie’s cuts and styles have just gotten better and better! Whenever I leave a Lynzie cut & gloss, I always have random people compliment me on how beautiful my hair is. Also, she does a great job of listening and always respecting what you want, but also bringing new ideas to the table. I also must say she’s just lovely to be around… she genuinely likes people, she’s an easy conversationalist, and is never gossipy or negative. All in all, I can’t recommend her enough!

I’ve been seeing Lynzie for her specialty curly hair cuts for a couple of years now and I refuse to have anyone else cut my hair. I’ve probably tried a dozen other stylists in the past who were supposedly great with curly hair, but Lynzie is the best. I’ve never been able to wear my hair this long before, because until Lynzie nobody has gotten the layers right for my specific pattern of curls and waves. She’s also great about offering styling tips so I can replicate my just-​left-​the-​salon look. Hiiiiiiighly recommend for anyone with tricky curly hair.

I adore Lynzie! I have had the pleasure of sitting in her chair for a few years now. I have received more than a dozen fantastic haircuts, bang trims, up-​dos and makeup styling for events. Every time I walk away from her chair I look and feel great. The last up-​do she did for me was for a 1920’s party, for which she researched several different hair styles for my hair type and length before my appointment even started! And, of course, the style we choose received a ton of compliments.
I have also had the pleasure of working with her in a professional capacity for weddings and photo shoots. The level of care she takes with each client is not something I run across very often. I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone who is looking for a hair stylist and/​or makeup artist

I love love love Lynzie and more importantly love what she does to my hair. She’s really easy to talk to and also tells it to me straight (about my wavy/​sometimes slightly curly hair). I don’t know about most people but I must really search to find someone I trust to cut my hair (cause that’s all I do, no color for me, but I’ve seen her work with others and it looks great).
I’ve had probably 6 haircuts by Lynzie since starting to see her — and maybe more — and I’ve liked or loved them all. And her new location, Shag a Salon, is quite nice. If you have curly hair or just want someone you can trust who will also guide you gently, Lynzie is your girl!
