1 year since the incident a year ago and we went back. Nothing of the sorts going on outside the entrance this time. I really hope this was some«clever» drunk pretending to be an employee. Not sure what the point of that wasn’t who knows with drunks. Anyway, my wife had Bangers and Mash, I had Pot Roast. Both were good. I never had Pot Roast as a sandwich before but it works! I would have wrote an even better review if not for the 30 minutes we waited for someone to take the dirty plates away from our table’s last patrons and take our order. This only happened because I flagged a waitress down. She was nice and apologized for the delays during our order. I don’t know what was up with our table(near the fireplace) but it seemed everyone but us and some friends of mine in the very corner were taken care of. They ended up going to the bar to get the check since no one ever showed up at their table. So to end this review I have to say the food was real good I just hope the service can be a little better.

It is great for beers on the river. Best patio in the city, some of the best looking male servers in the city…

I live in Streeterville. This is my regular hangout. Love it more in summers. That neighborhood feeling in Downtown Chicago!

Normally most places along the river are pretty high end and expensive and crowded, but thankfully this is a pretty casual sports bar, with ample outdoor seating on the river, i think since its so far east its out of the real trendy locations, solid beer list, draft and bottle, not too expensive, free popcorn, tried a few apps and they were all good, its def my go to spot if i wanna sit on the river

Sitting here for 30 minutes, no one to greet me nor take my order. I had to go ask for a menu & get my own drinks. Floor & tables super sticky. A couple walked out, although they were waiting less time than me. Terrible service.

Prices are reasonable but I would eat elsewhere and just stick to cocktails. The outdoor seating is nice and right on the river so it’s a good spot to kick back and have a drink. As far as the food goes, it’s your typical bar food and it’s not very good. We ordered 2 bowls of chili and the server said that he didn’t have enough for 2 bowls but that we could have 2 cups if we wanted. We ordered it and when it came to the table each cup was less than half full.

Prices are very reasonable given the location — it’s river-front and on firework summer nights, the patio has a great view! The downside? It’s an older bar with a bit of a polarizing grunge feel: think Mothers Too/Butch McGuire’s on Division. That being said, its stock of board games definitely helps. The service is great but unremarkable. The food is reasonably priced but mediocre — we ordered nachos and got theater nacho cheese((I don’t think I’ve had that at a restaurant for ages) but other than that, the food was good.

Stopped in here after one of the Free Walking tours because we were told that we could use their restrooms. So we popped in and did just that. We also got a quick soda for the convenience. They were polite and warm to all of us.

Not happy. Today showed up at 4:45 and the entire patio was closed to a private party. There was NOT one person on the patio. Who is more important, the locals or the people who book and don’t show?

Was wanting to grab lunch here with my mom a few minutes ago — had a taste for Shepherd’s Pie — but the two emo waitresses couldn’t be bothered to come over to our table. The place was practically empty so there was no excuse for it. We left and went next door to the burger place. What’s wrong with young people these days?

Music & atmosphere is great. Beer is nice & cold. Great location if you are staying at the Sheraton. Outdoor seating by the water is available although I sat inside at the bar. Bartenders are friendly as well. Overheard they give locals a discount on drinks. Not a 100% accurate on that tip but wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Great spot to sit along the Chicago River on a beautiful day, watch the world go by and have a beer(or whatever you drink). Friendly staff and quick service. I did not order any food but my friend had the Italian sandwich and loved it. It can be hard to locate this spot, but it is worth the effort.

Strolled by here numerous times and never made my way inside until recently. Its definitely located in a nice spot on the river, right there when you turn onto wacker coming off LSD(Lake Shore Drive, not drugs LOL). Me and some buddies stopped by after work to catch some good weather while dining on their patio alongside the river. I was starving and had a hard choice deciding between the Rueben and the Rarebit Melt(pot roast sandwich). I got the Rarebit which was very good and packed with flavor as it should. I found myself eating it so fast… thats how good it was. Would definitely come back soon as its getting warmer outside and its pretty cool eating alongside the Chicago River. Interior seems quite dark, but after all it is an Irish Pub

While staying next door at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers — I wanted to find some places to eat and drink outside of the hotel. The hotel food and drink prices are ridiculously high! Came in here for dinner one night. The place was really busy when I arrived — there was no place to sit at the bar so I ended up at a high top table in the far corner. My server was a young lady. I asked her what she thought were the best local craft beers on the menu? She replied she did not know as she is not old enough to drink. Ordered a cup of Chili, then the Shepherd’s Pie, plus a Goose Island IPA. I started to drink the IPA and felt something rough on the glass and discovered it was chipped on the rim — I’m lucky I did not slice my lip open on the glass. I pointed this out to her — and she simply stated — «I’ll get you another glass» not even an «Oh, we are sorry about that!» The cup of Chili came out first, served with a dollop of sour cream on top. It was actually pretty good Chili. The the Shepherd’s Pie came out — it was really hot. It too was tasty — not the best I’ve ever had — but enjoyable. I paid my check and then decided to move over and sit at the bar and have another local craft ale. I decided to try the Sidekick Pale Ale(Two Brothers Brewing Co., Warrenville, IL). It comes in a can. Apparently Lizzie McNeill’s does not offer chilled pint glasses(I requested one), so I poured it into the glass that was provided. Overall, a really nicely balanced Pale Ale — notes of Citrus, hops, pine — yummm!!!

We went on a Saturday afternoon in the winter, and we loved it! The service was great(extremely timely). There was street parking(only $ 8 for two hours — it doesn’t get much cheaper than that.) We enjoyed a hot cider(delicious!) along with warm, soft pretzels and dip, the sandwich with the roast and the sausage with mashed potatoes and gravy. We loved every bit of it! I would love to go there in the summer as they are located right outside the river walk!

There is nothing Irish about this place. NOTHING! N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Did you get it? Yes, they have some Irish beers and whiskeys. That’s it. The most Irish thing they had on the menu was a Chicago hot dog. How Irish is that? Not at all! My point is proven. The hot dog was OK. My Harp was warm. A guy at a table next to me ordered a Guiness, and I already knew what was going to happen. I got out my phone and looked at the time. 6:54 They brought him the beer, and I didn’t even need to look at my phone… it was still cascading, and almost certainly had not been poured correctly. But I did look… 6:57 There is NOFREAKINGWAY the server got his order to the bar, the bartender poured the beer CORRECTLY, and then she returned with it within 4 minutes. And that was with not enough wait staff for the number of tables. While I was there, I saw a group sit at a table. They thumbed through the menu, then got up to leave. I said, «Let me guess… dissapointed there was no Irish food?» I got the«Bingo!» finger, and away they went. This place only stays open because of their river location. I won’t return.
