This is definitely one of the best green spaces in the whole city! A mini-park within the massive Lincoln Park, delineated by the boat club to the north, the zoo to the west and the tennis courts to the south. It is mostly quiet, calm and beautiful. Talk about quintessential park beauty: The quiet, placid south lagoon, whose only disturbance is an occasional kayak or outrigger smoothly gliding across the surface. Huge shady willow trees, rustling in the Chicago breeze, and families walking dogs, fishing and pushing strollers. I took the most beautiful woman in the world here for a picnic on our first anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. (also: easy parking north of fullerton!) It is one of my favorite places in town.
