Coming from last night, new years eve, and having Jess Café tell me over the phone that they were«closed»(no, they weren’t) and refused my order because they were«too busy»(but you can order for pickup! And only small orders. And it will take an hour! Otherwise, were closed) to take my business– I ordered a large order for delivery from here. Not only is it just as delicious as Jess down the street, buy they don’t have the same horrible attitude that my old ex-favorite Asian place now has adopted. The Malaysian fish, fish ball noodle soup, and the various fried chicken dishes were excellent except the vegetable fried rice was a touch bland. Nothing a little soy sauce can’t fix.

2nd time trying takeout. 1st time ok. Décor is very nice for dine in by the way. Well today a simple one meal order. «Mongolian beef, extra meat, eady vegetables with white steamed rice». First, young man taking order confurd, said going over his notes. Awkward silence for approximately 10 minutes, really. Ok I got it he says. Well quick is a plus 15 minutes, as long as my call lasted. Well I show up a small $ 14 container and no steamed white rice. He calls and leaves a message if you want to come back we forgot the white rice. Well thanks. Not sure if a sign to order elsewhere.

This place is great. I have not ordered anything that hasn’t been very tasty. They are friendly and prompt. I have done pick-up and delivery both were warm and delicious. The egg rolls, pot stickers, and chicken chow mein are three of our favorites.

The food was good — you can taste that it was fresh. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the sweet and sour chicken, it was different and wasn’t bad. Based on the fast delivery(near closing time too!) and the awesome avocado smoothie that I ordered(that was delicious) — I’ll probably order again.

Knowing that Jess Café would likely take an hour and a half on a Saturday night to deliver or 45 minutes for pick up(yes, pick up), we decided to order from Li Hing for the first time through Grubhub. They have similar items as Jess Café and surprisingly just as good. The best part is that while Grubhub estimated our food to arrive in an hour, we were pleasantly surprised that food arrived in half an hour! We ordered our usual fruit smoothies and chicken dishes, but do try chicken wings in fish sauce as they were fantastic. Although I think I will request for them to be spicier for our next order.

I can’t believe I am saying this bed use Jess café is my go to spot but these people are better than Jess. The food was great and fresh. Everything had great flavor. We tried pad Thai, lemon grass chicken wings, and bbq fried chicken. I would definitely try them again.

We decided to switch it up and ordered from here instead of our regular place. It was Chinese New Year and even though we had celebrated with the family the day before with *real* Chinese food, it felt wrong to eat meatloaf on CNY. The food came quickly and was very good. We had chicken loo mein and Mongolian beef. Was it remarkable? It was definitely better than your average Chinese take out. I would definitely order from them again.

I like that they don’t overly salt and grease their food like most Asian places. The service is great and the place is clean. The salt and pepper squid had a nice light crunchy coating and was cooked perfectly. The Chinese broccoli was cooked well with a vibrant green color and a little bit of crisp to the bite. My guy had the Thai green curry chicken and he said it was very good and he can be hard to please. Sorry Jess’s Café this is my new spot for Asian food. I look forward to trying their catering.

This place is just great! I have ordered here more then a dozen times. Late on the review but it’s well deserved, people are nice, place is clean and food is always fresh which is huge for me. I’ve been to another spot down the street and this place beats them every time in my book. With that said won’t be back to the other spot.

This place was dirt cheap and had really good food. My biggest complaint was they forgot our egg rolls. Otherwise I’d go back for food.

We bought Lo Mein, Korean spicy dumpling, and Ma Po tofu. We are vegetarians. And the food we bought was very delicious. It was my first time trying Chinese food. And I highly recommend trying this restaurant out. The restaurant offers many veg options, I suggest you talk to the cashier, she offered her knowledge regarding the dishes and helped us choose. Highly recommend to get the vegetable Lo Mein if you are vegetarian like me.

The food was delicious and comparable to the dishes served in Chinatown! Pleasantly surprised and will definitely visit again.

Only been to this place twice once for take out and again to dine in. The service was good and food is delicious for a reasonable price! it is a good place to get some chinese food when going to Chinatown isnt an option, however their times are not late night! We enjoy the beef cubes over tomato rice and salt and pepper fried squid!

Followed Unilocal reviews and ventured here on a Monday night when many Chinese places are closed. It did not disappoint. Our server was a very nice woman who made very good recommendations. She was very accommodating and was very proud of the food when we told her how great everything was. We had Schezwan wontons, wonton soup, BBQ fried rice, combination lo mein and sweet and sour chicken. It was all delicious. Very fresh, lean meat, layers of flavor, not too oily. We loved everything! We will be back.

From my experience and so I can reference back here: Delicious: — Salt and Pepper Squid: delicious. — Sweet and Sour Fish: Saucy but delicious — Hong Kong Style Fish Filet: delicious. Kind of like gravy. — Minced garlic tung choy: delicious — Steamed Fish Filet — delicious. Like the light soy sauce poach. — Peking Pork Chops — delicious — Malaysian Style String Beans — not very spicy. Eh: — Beef Chow Fun to go: noodles were separated to preserve some«crunch». Pretty good. — Mushrooms with Tofu — not bad. I wish it was enoki mushrooms but it’s just plain button mushrooms. — Crab Rangoon: Forgot to note this when I ate it. I think it was filled up well but a bit bland. — Wonton and Beef Noodle — not bad… a bit salty. The wontons fell apart immediately and the beef is a thin flank. Fails: — Hong Sue Chicken — not very good. — Fried Chicken Nuggets: tastes like Sweet and Sour chicken without the sauce. Dry.

I’m never going to order from this place again. I feel like Chicago has the worst Chinese food I ever ate. I give new places a try and they all disappoint me. I ordered combination rice… it had no flavor… and no vegetables… Or eggs!!! Why r u charging an arm and a leg for fried rice and it has NOFREAKINGFLAVOR! you didn’t even send soy sauce packets in the bag… n sent me mustard. lmao really… mustard??? The orange chicken sucked too :(it was also dry and chewy… I think I need new teeth after eating from here If I get a call or message from the owners apologizing for horrible food… I might give it a chance and just feed the homeless instead Hire new cooks… FAST!

I have to write a 5, merely to push on this spot. As a Jess café comparison, I really could go for either or. It’s definitely a smaller spot(less tables), but the seating is definitely more polished than its competitor. Food is on point, having a wide menu(not as overwhelming as Jess), lunch AND dinner specials, a wide array of smoothies, and they crank out food pretty quick as well. My only gripe about the lunch special is that it comes with a plain fried rice. Whoever likes plain? But I’m definitely a supporter of this business… I’m just hoping they come out with something to set it apart from its neighboring competiton, which has already been pretty established in reputation.(I do feel that Jess occasionally gets to slacking, like my go-to dishes aren’t as good as I remembered them.) So far, everythin’s been on point here at Li Hing
