Too bad this place is closed. I loved the salads here — everything was fresh and assembled right in front of you. They definitely didn’t skimp on the ingredients either — I’d be the first one in line if they ever reopen!

I have been having dreams about their Sonoma Salad. One pointer, just tell them easy on the dressing!

CLOSED!!! Say it ain’t so!!! Just found this place a few weeks ago and was pumped since it’s hard to find many healthy options on this strip of Clark that are open for lunch! Everything was fresh and tasty and definitely worth the money. Today I went to try to grab lunch the place is closed! And so I began my period of mourning with a sandwich from Subway. Lame.

LOVE leafy greens!!! They use fresh and organic ingredients and serve up food at an incredibly reasonable price. I’ve tried all the sandwiches and like to rotate through them. The Sonoma salad is one of the best salads I’ve ever had. The soup is top notch I’m especially fond of the lobster bisque. There is also always fresh flavored water for free. Usually a cucumber and mint variety and a berry or fruit. I like to get a glass of both! Highly recommend this spot for a quick, fresh, healthy, and tasty lunch or dinner!

I like this place! They have fresh an THISPLACEISNOWCLOSED d healthy ingredients and the soups are delicious. The bre THISPLACEISNOWCLOSED ad is also very good. It is slightly more expensive than a pl THISPLACEISNOWCLOSED ace like Panera Bread, but the ingredients are much THISPLACEISNOWCLOSED better, and the recipes are more flavorful.

I love this place — the make your own salad option is a great deal. Everything is super fresh and there is a ton of variety. The soups are awesome — my favorite is the Roasted Butternut Squash and Green Apple. Really friendly staff, as well!

When you say a sandwich is $ 10, it better be more awesome than a Subway foot long… that’s reasonable right? Me and my husband went here for a healthy lunch after our run and got two soups — the honey roasted butternut squash and oven roasted tomato basil. Both were delicious but they were cold. My husband got the Spa sandwich which was a small sized portion and not packed with any flavor. I got the Farmer’s salad which had greens with asparagus, portabello mushrooms, roasted red peppers etc with a basil pesto vinaigrette… Sounds amazing? But tasted so bland. And just so we’re clear, I’m a salad lover and I resented it. They really need to re-think their menu and work out a way to make it tasty.

I was sick and didn’t have any soup at home, nor did I want to go to the store and then make some. Leafy Greens was right around the corner and was perfect! A little pricey for soup, but absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend the Potato Leak Soup or the Mushroom … both are awesome!

I want to love this place. I do. I’ve walked past it so many times and finally decided that I would for the first time tonight. Looking at the menu I thought that the prices were kind of steep, but I figured the salads would be huge and full of ingredients. I was tempted to try the soup, but since today was an unusually warm October day(80 degrees, eeep!) I decided to shy away from anything warm. They make the salads and mix them up in front of you, which is a huge plus. There’s complementary water(flavored with cucumbers and strawberries) and everything is clean and organized. So here’s my main issue with the place: when a salad is over $ 10, then it should be a high quality salad. Not mostly lettuce. I got the Cobb salad, and the majority of it was iceberg lettuce. Very few pieces of avocado or bacon. The dressing tasted watered down, and the roll did not taste fresh. My grandma got the salmon salad, and there was hardly any salmon, hers was mostly lettuce too! It’s slightly deceptive, as the salads are plated in big bowls, but they’re mostly filled with the cheapest, item with the least nutritional value(and something that wont fill you up either). I will come back and give this place another chance, I will definitely try their soup when it gets colder.

There is a redheaded girl who works here that makes my day every time. She’s super nice and smiley and always the most helpful. She rocks! Oh, and the salads are pretty good too :)

I’ve gone twice in the last week, and it’s not bad or good — it is inconsistent. The first time I went, I got a great salad, great service with a smile, and everything was perfect. The second time I went back — it was the exact opposite. He put the salad in a «to go» plastic container, and had never bothered to ask me if I was eating in or taking it to go. I wanted to eat in — so was he telling me to get the heck outta there? There was not enough salad dressing on the salad, and he completely forgot to give me a bread roll until I specifically asked for it. Another thing that bothers me is that there’s a line on the charge receipt for a tip. ok — no one waits on you — it is a walk-up counter where you order your food, and bring it to your own table. It’s also a bus-your-own-table place — so why the tip line? I’m paying over $ 12 for a SALAD. Seriously? I’l try again since there is no Protein Bar in Lincoln Park(hellooooooo? can you say Target Demographic!!!) but be weary. Ya never know what yer gonna get!

Nice place! Leafy Greens has been on my ‘oh, hey, I need to check them out sometime’ list for at least a year and I finally stopped by last weekend. My meal: the Napa salad, zero-calorie vitamin water What I got: a nicely sized salad that was loaded with blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, rosemary chicken breast, walnuts and mixed greens. Price: $ 12 for everything What I thought of my meal: Loved it. The fruit was thick and juicy and, for once, I didn’t get a salad that had a bunch of stuff on top and nothing but lettuce under that. This was a salad FULL of good stuff. The only thing I wish had been different was the chicken. It wasn’t bad but the rest of the salad was fabulous so I wanted the chicken to be fabulous, too, instead of just okay. Other offerings include various salads(of course), soups, and a few sandwiches. Also nice: they offer free, infused water for patrons to enjoy. I don’t know if they switch it up from time to time or not but, when I stopped in, the two infusions were cucumber water(which I love) and strawberry lime water. Will I be back? Definitely. Next time, I think I’ll try one of the combos, though.

First, the positive: clean place, fresh ingredients, organic(I’m pretty sure), and free fruit or cucumber water. They have soup, salad and sandwiches. And the descriptions they have of each make everything sound delicious. They have some great combination too. The negative: I’d say it’s pricey. I only had a soup — England Corn Chowder, which came with a honey wheat roll. I think it was a good deal, $ 3.50 for a decent size soup. The salads and sandwiches were all about 8 to 10 bucks each, which I don’t think is overly expensive — but I kept thinking to myself — wow, 10 bucks for leaves? My friend got the salad and soup combo, and it was around $ 10.00. She said it was good and worth it, I say I’m not crazy enough about salad to do so. If you are really into some organic green, give this place a try. I probably won’t be back since I can make great salad and soup at home.

I love this place! I am a picky vegetarian salad eater and adored the Sonoma Saland and butternut squash soup, for $ 10, not bad at all! I had half of the portion left for dinner! Super fresh, great ingridients, and flavored water! :)

I loves me a good salad. There are tons of places where I can get one around where I work… and most of them really suck. Sad, tiny, uniform cubes of «chicken» that are grey in parts… wilted greens… weak dressing options… very limited/basic toppings. Hot. Damn. This place has fresh spring mix, large chunks of rosemary grilled chicken, toasted pecans, fresh bread… well, it beats the pants off that travesty known as the salad bar at Dominick’s. It is a little more expensive than, say, a Potbelly salad – but infinitely worth it. Huge fan – will be back.

2 salads. 1 water. 1 juice. $ 31. Really, that says it all. We both ordered the Caprice — and agreed that it sounded better than it tasted. Shrimp, mozzarella, pesto, sun-dried tomato, and roasted pepper on hearts of romaine. That sounds good, right? It was… boring. And watery. As my friend and I sat and ate, we found that we were picking at our salads, rather than eating them with any real gusto. The basil pesto(on both of our salads) was faint. Light. Almost non-existent. Perhaps it was ‘essence’ of basil pesto. Without that component, the salad felt undone. The ingredients all make sense on paper, but taste-wise, nothing brought that together. We both agreed that a more vibrant dressing could have helped — and, less(chewy/tough) sun-dried tomatoes. Both salads were a good size and the open layout of the restaurant will surely make it a Lincoln Park standout once warm weather decides to drop in for a few weeks or so. But, at the current price point and taste profile, I won’t be one of the LPers hanging out for some lettuce. I didn’t get it.

For those who don’t know, this is the place just south of Lincoln Park Market, with the sign that says homade soup. Great salad, sandwich and soup options here. The place has a very fresh, clean look and feel to it. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted because of all the good stuff they have on the menu. I decided to go with the Roma sandwich — $ 9.95(Prosciutto, provolone, roasted bell pepper & extra virgin basil oil on Italian bread) and the Honey Roasted Butternut Squash with Green Apple soup — $ 3.95 for a cup. I was able to get both items @ $ 9.95 because of their combo option. All soups are served with a wheat roll, by the way. I came back and got the Tomato Basil Soup which was delicious! The lone guy working the register was pretty cool as he did not rush us to make a decision and allowed us to gaze at the menu for over 5 minutes. They also have water options: With cucumber or with strawberries in the jugs next to the window. I really hope they get a sign that has their official name, because lots of people are missing out on the organic, freshness of this place. Maybe I can keep it all to myself… hahahaha

I was walking to LP Market to get some canned soup when I remembered this place was just a little farther down the street. I opted for the Sonoma Salad and a cup of Lemon Chicken Soup. The salad was HUGE. It was definitely delicious and I was hungry so I could eat the whole thing but definitely too big for a salad if I just wanted something light. The soup was really good and just what I was wanting. I am glad I stopped in here after all this time just passing it by. I’ll probably begin to frequent this place. The only downfall is the portions which make the prices a little higher. I’d be fine, just like many other reviewers, with paying 6 – 7 bucks for a half portion of my salad.

What a great idea and what great selections! If you’re looking for a good salad this is the place to go. It is not cheap, but the portions are huge and you will get very fresh ingredients. I have had a few of their salads and they have all been solid. Be sure to save room for their soup, because it is some of the best around. I usually only have nice things to say about Lettuce Entertain You, but come on! Why attack these guys for having a similar name?! Anyways, this place is worth a shot if you’re craving some fresh greens.

First of all… I know this is weird. but I was going a bit crazy for their water infused with strawberries and lemon. Just water with some fresh fruits thrown in, but how can it taste like a legit beverage? Wow. It also comes out a light pink when you dispense it into your cup(look at pics I posted). Cool! Looks very pink champagne-y. haha. They also have the water infused with cucumbers. Nice touch, Let Us Be! My friend got the butternut squash(extra details of the name/ingredients forgotten) soup. It was a BIGGG bowl o’ soup. Like big enough for 2 – 3 people. Really good price for a bowl of soup that big. I believe she paid. under $ 5? Probably $ 4 something. It was so big that she decided not to get a salad or sammich. She was very, very full. I made my own salad. Huge(could’ve been split for two, but I eat for two anyway). Very filling. Mine was around $ 12(I added salmon). Accompanied with a big sesame cracker.(Refer to pic) Quick, cute, and healthy. Do it.
