Phở 5 stars Bahn mi 4 ½ stars Shrimp spring rolls 3 ¾ stars Phở was phở-nomenal. Broth was very complex and delicious. I got the Phở Dac Biet. Tendon is always my favorite and it was melt in your mouth good. Meatballs had tons of flavor. Tripe was perfection and the other meats were spot on as well. I did order delivery. Only thing was I was missing lime, but it really didn’t need it. This phở broth was very balanced. Heck, it really didn’t need the hoisin or sriracha. I wish I could give the bahn mi 5 stars. It was so close. It was missing more of the pickled vegetables for flavor and balance. The lemongrass beef was delicious, but it almost became pâté like in spots because it was so marinated and tender. The bread was PERFECT!!! The shrimp spring rolls threw me a little. They were 1⁄3 shredded lettuce. To make up for that, the put in a fried piece of wonton or fried rice paper hidden in it. I really liked it in the texture. There wasn’t a ton of vermicelli noodles in it, but the crunch was really neat. I enjoyed it. The peanut sauce was a little to thick and sweet for me. It was very peanut butter heavy. It was tasty and I’d order them again but they weren’t the typical Vietnamese spring roll that you’ll find at every other restaurant in the Chicagoland area. This will definitely be on my delivery rotation or I’ll stop in if I’m in the neighborhood.

Best phở is Chicago! Better than Tank and everywhere around take. Service is awesome and the phở always tastes fresh

My favorite Vietnamese place in Lincoln Square. Audra and Theresa were wonderful while working there. The food is authentic and amazing, and it always fills my need for phở. I love their vermicelli noodles with pork rolls, and I also love their desserts– who has fried Oreos and funnel cake?! But above everything, the service is impeccable. Audra and crew, especially Bong in the back(who I speak in Cantonese to) are so incredibly nice, grateful for your patronage, and thoughtful. I come back here every so often even though I’ve moved away from Lincoln Square just to say hi and have a bowl of my favorite phở.

Since moving back to Chicago from Seattle, we have been in search of a good Phở restaurant. Today we have found by far the best Phở restaurant in the city. We’ve tried about four other places before finding L. C Phở. I ordered a large phở with sliced beef, and an order of eggrolls. My fiancé ordered the shrimp fried rice. The rice was fresh, eggrolls were meaty and piping hot. The phở, though was lacking with the ratio of noodles to broth was amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, nice and hot and above all, affordable. Staff was friendly, establishment was clean. Hands down the best!

OMG… YUMMY! I’ve lived a block away from LC for two years, and can not believe it has taken me so long to visit. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious, and cheep! The place is no frills and on a really strange strip of Lawrence, but do not that detour you. The food(noodles, phở, appetizers) were so good. The spring rolls were huge as were the entrée portions. Just go. You will not be disappointed! So yummy!

I am relatively new to Phở. I’ve been to five locations that serve Phở and LC has become my favorite. I’ve had the beef and chicken Phở. Both were delicious and the stock was outstanding. The garnishes were all fresh. The basil looked and smelled like it was just picked from a garden. For the beef Phở, the beef was fresh and tender. The chicken Phở was just as delicious. The dumplings in the app section, are expensive but delicious. Their fresh spring eggrolls were packed with crisp vegetable and full of flavor. l recommend LC for Phở beginners and the experienced.

Best little Vietnamese restaurant around. Small, but very, very clean. Attentive staff. Very reasonable prices. Can’t want to go back again. Much better than some places on Argyle St., too.

Amazing place!!! I have students from Vietnam and when I mentioned that I went to this place they say to me; «Mr Garcia, that place its perhaps the best Vietnamese restaurant in town» and they are right!!! Food was amazing, service incredible and prices are just right! I hope you enjoy your visit to LC Phở. Smile!!!

I come to Chicago every once in awhile to visit my son who goes to Loyola. One evening I was craving phở and prior to this visit I had phở at tank noodle at argyle and the broth was very underwhelming. I walked in one afternoon to grab a quick bite to eat while I was waiting for my son to get out of class and the waitress Teresa was so sweet and very attentive, I order the large phở dac biet(I believe #12) and the broth is so aromatic and flavorful, I didn’t have to put so much hoisin or sriracha because there wasn’t any need. So whenever I come to Chicago now I made a personal note to always go to LC phở on Lawrence and California. Definitely recommend!

Popped in for some lunch while doing my laundry down the street. It wasn’t very busy inside — there were maybe two or three people eating. I was immediately greeted and offered a seat and a menu. I ordered the Vegetarian Phở with regular tofu. It was HUGE as per usual with Phở — I had to take half of it to go! It came with a side of veggies(sprouts, jalapeños, lime slices) and the tofu on the side. I appreciated the tofu on the side so that I could put it in when I wanted to. It was crispy and with a light batter and would have tasted really off if they had just tossed it in the broth. Some of the best tasting Phở I’ve ever had. The service was pleasant and quick. I’ll definitely stop in again next time I’m on this side of town!

Been here a few times now. Place is friendly and food is good too. Egg rolls are freshly made, none of that frozen pre made stuff. The Phở is good too. Broth is nice and hot when you order it. It’s going to be great with the cold weather coming. Staff is always nice and polite when we go.

I live right down that street and this is absolutely my go-to Phở joint and that’s saying a lot considering this is Phở territory! The people that work there are so great, the menu has so many options, the Phở is phenomenal, the prices are totally reasonable. I just can’t think of anything else I would want out of a little Lincoln Square, family-owned Phở joint. It’s not fancy inside, it’s more a divey joint, but they do have quite a few tables and chairs and I always see people eating in here when I pick-up. I’ve never actually eaten inside myself but I think it’s a good sign I always see people doing so. Anytime I call in my order they have in ready within 10 – 15 minutes, super-friendly and helpful on the phone. I almost always get the house special combination Phở(I think it’s #13) with all the different kinds of meats– beef strips, meatballs, tripe, etc. Mmmmmmm. I’ve also had some appetizers which were good but nothing super notable– spring rolls and crab rangoons. Really, it’s all about the Phở here and if you’re not getting Phở you’re missing out!

Looking for a place to eat, then heard from a friend how amazing New Asia was across the street. But nah… it was closed til next month! Then came another highly rated viet place right down the street and it made us forget the amazing New Asia for a while. I had the pork Banh Mi and it certainly wasn’t bad, good sized proportions of bread to veggies but could have added a bit more meat. My friend had the shredded chicken Phở and it’s broth was so meaty and well balanced that I couldn’t stop reaching over for more. There wasn’t much to complain about but nothing really unique about the place. Stop on by though for one of the better Phở places in town.

The beef broth is stronger than what I’m used to, and I’ve seen bigger bowls of phở, but it still hits the spot. They also have a TV so we were able to catch the bears game during lunch!

Came here for the second time. The food here is very consistent and has a very friendly atmosphere. The restaurant has only a few seats, but the wait staff are very accommodating and will help to shift the tables, as needed. Some cool features is that It is BYOB, and conveniently, has a liquor store across the street; as well as, the notable(ample+street) parking right outside. The restaurant definitely has complementary features — location wise. As usual, I ordered the phở. It looked like the typical phở, but this one usually comes piping hot and definitely had an extra meaty taste in it. I felt bad for the waiters who were just holding up these bowls with their bare hands. I wanted to add again that the waiters are so nice; as we were leaving, the waiter sent us some deep-fried oreos. mmmmm! Nothing beats deep fried junk food! Overall, the phở is just a notch above average, which will not justify another long trip out here, but needless to say, the deep fried oreos are something to try.

During my first attempt of coming here, they were closed due to power issues #ThanksObama. Alternatively, I went to New Asia. LC Phở is definitely superior to New Asia, but it’s not perfect. The broth tasted good, and the noodles were cooked properly. However, there was something missing from the broth compared to other phở soups I’ve had on the west coast. Their Banh Mi was good as well. Overall, a good place for a bowl of phở or a cheap lunch if you just want a Banh Mi.

5 stars for service and the variety of food. New Asia does have the best chicken phở, but I prefer coming here. My man always wants to eat phở. He could eat it everyday, but Dude, sometimes, I just want to eat something else!
