I ordered the(713) Beef Noodle Soup Chengdu Style. The spicy flavor of the broth overtook the other elements, especially the flavor of the meat. The noodles seemed to come straight from a frozen package. It was quite possibly one of the worst dishes I’ve had in Chinatown. Service and tea were okay.

We ate the all-you-can eat hotpot for $ 16.95. You think it sounds like a good deal, but if you want to eat rubber for dinner then go ahead. The veggies were not fresh and there was a lack of variety of sauces. The meat was not edible and chewy. I had to spit out the meat because I just couldn’t swallow it. I would’ve rather eaten at McDonald’s and saved my money. This is coming from someone that hasn’t eaten at McDonald’s in over 5 years. Even my boyfriend that eats just about anything and everything stopped eating because it wasn’t appetizing. Verdict: I will not be coming back, but if you want to try any of their other dishes then maybe you can give it a try. Just don’t get the hotpot.

Came here for lunch on Xmas day and was not disappointed! Friendly waiter who made suggestions on dishes to order. No wait which was a plus as we were so hungry and most places had long waits. We had the appetizer $ 4.95 scallion northern style pancakes which were bland and tasteless but all got better after that. The pan fried veggie dumplings $ 4.95 were good and cooked slightly crispy how I like them. Entrees were stir fried pork country style with chillis and spring onions $ 10.95, very tasty with a good kick to it but smallish portion. The best was the Yunnan style spicy pork ribs $ 11.95 which were delicious. Overall a good lunch and will return to try other dishes on the menu.

Fairly large menu with decent prices. Ordered for delivery and the food came cold even though it was 3pm(off time for delivery orders.) Driver didn’t want to come up to the apt. Now of the food reviews: 1. Famous chengdu style dumplings were all stuck together in a clump. Sauce was just dumped on top but not tossed through the dish, flavor was decent.; 2. Beef Noodle Soup Chengdu-Style– they put the noodle AND the soup together so by the time it got here, there was no soup left, just puffed up noodles. VERY disappointed; Dan Dan Noodles– small layer of sauce on top and bottom of the container but the rest was just a large clump of steamed noodles. Had a hard time mixing it all together because there wasn’t enough sauce; Spicy and Sour Tender Tofu– decent flavor but it was all oil. I actually mistakenly thought this was the soup for the beef noodle soup at first; Pork friend rice– under seasoned with clumps of white rice. All and I all I was disappointed with the order. I can’t believe they put they packed the noodles and the beef soup together– basic delivery order 101 tells you those two things should be separated.

Here food tastes so so, expensive, I do not recommend here at all. Their dishes are very small and totally different from the Menu picture. We two people ordered three dishes still hungry haha, 38 bucks are not big deal, but they guys do business should not like this, you can cheat customer one time but no second time! Good luck !

My friend and I went last night and while waiting to be seated, we watched as server after server walked right past us as though we weren’t even there. I mean, wouldn’t one look to see if you have patrons waiting at the door? It does not say seat yourself anywhere so we thought we were doing the proper thing by waiting at the door. And then we got budged by some mainlanders. The girl with fam in tow, just walked right past us and the servers seated them. Hrmmm that’s a different gripe that I don’t care to get into, but seriously? I almost walked out right then but friend was hungry and asked to wait just a minute longer and then we were finally flagged down to get seated. The service was pretty terrible and it was just a laughable night from that point on. We happened to get seated next to the budgers, and when we asked for hot tea, the server said that they were out. Hmm, my friend and I looked over and saw that they had a pot of boiling hot tea. Okkaayyy Then we ordered chinese broccoli with garlic, flat noodles with chicken, and mushrooms with beef. About 15 minutes later, the server comes out and says that they are out of flat noodles. Noodles/rice are staples of Asian cuisine so I find it very puzzling to be told that they ran out. So we order potstickers instead. The food was ok but in all honesty, I will be dining at a different establishment with the absolute circus that we dealt with this evening.

we came for the famous cross-bridge rice noodle, it is not as good as expected, i feel like the chongqing beef noodle we ordered is even better but one thing i do really like about this place is all the appetizers they have(in the cart by the cash register), espeically the spicy bamboo shoot the hotpots are pretty good too

I had visited this place before several time when it was under another name several years ago, and I used to like it very much. After my husband and I moved back to Chicago, we went there together, hoping to regain some good memory. Unfortunately, the food quality was not a match for its old time. I feel sad about it, and we won’t come back again.

We received a pretty sincere service. We order couple of dishes, we couldn’t finished the Spicy Diced chicken. My boyfriend took it home, and the next day he got food poisoning. This is not the first time, it happened to my mom’s friends. Their food processing is NOT sanitize.

Great spot. Regional menu was excellent. Felt authentic. If you like a hole in the wall feel, I think you’ll like this place. Was busy with lots of locals.

Food was excellent. Shared a steaming pot with unlimited meats and vegetables. Service was great to start off but once we had our food it was terrible. Great atmosphere. Overall, would return however this is solely based on the food.

Tables are sticky and chairs are gross(mine had dried rice on it) but if you can get past that, the food is absolutely divine!

I ordered takeout on Thursday! It took about an 1:35 to get it and I was underwhelmed. I ordered Orange Chicken, but the batter was undercooked making it rather soft and chewy. I also ordered Chicken Fried Noodles, which were tasty but completely drenched in oil and slightly salty. Greasy Unhealthy and Bland Chinese FTW.

Under new management! New set of chefs! Their food definitely getting a lot better! Ate there with my friends and tried their new organic dry mushrooms and live tilapia casserole, chef special spare rib, appetizers combo plate, and home style spicy chicken cube. Dishes turn out to be very tasty and flavorful. I would love to pay them other visits. They added Szechwan style Crawfish. Great taste and fresh.

Been looking for a quick, easy, shrimp fried rice delivery. Being so close to Chinatown, you’d think this wouldn’t be hard but it is. Fast delivery, solid shrimp fried rice and no order minimum(if you’re ordering for just you). Good solid spot!

Lamb and fish stew! That dish is spicy and, more importantly awesome. The Mayor of Chinatown(Tony Hu) owns several restaurants all within walking distance– if you have not tried this one– I recommend trying it. The staff were incredible pleasant, nice, and service oriented.

Pretty good food. And BYOB. We started off with the pick 3 appetizers for like $ 6. There’s a buffet cart in the back where you can choose 3 types of appetizers. We got the pig ears, tripes and bamboo. Really enjoyed the tripes and ears. Then we ordered the cross bridge noodles(delish broth) and a fried whole fish with some kind of sour sauce on top(under Yunnan specials). Overall everything was great. I would definitely come back.

Friends and I came here on a Monday night. It was empty except for one other table when we arrived. We ordered the famous Beijing noodles, Cross Bridge Noodles, Spicy Beef Noodles and Salt and Pepper Pork. They confused my order and brought me noodles with pickled vegetable which looked delicious. When they brought the correct dish(Beijing Noodles), I was kind of disappointed. It was a bowl of noodles with a brown sauce on top. But when I tossed the noodles, I found there was a secret stash of red pepper oil on the bottom. SCORE! It was like hitting gold! Delicious fiery GOLD. I finished my bowl of noodles before everyone else(Mind you, I was eating with 3 other guys). Service leaves much to be desired. They were receiving a fruit/vegetable shipment while we were eating, so they were debating prices in the dining area. Also, the manager/owner? Began talking loudly on his cell phone which was distracting. But I mean come on. I don’t expect Michelin star service in Chinatown. I like this place because it is adequately spicy, which speaks volumes because I love spicy food. Maybe I’ll come back to try their AYCE hot pot!

Things have changed a lot since the last time I came. In the past, I think I would have given it far higher ratings. I will give them props for their new décor. Very modern, yet still ancient sort of feel. I came here with my parents to try to get a taste of food from home(Yunnan) and I will say that I did not get the tastes I came looking for. **Famous Yunnan Cross-Bridge Rice Noodle — IMAGINEMYHEARTBREAK when I realized that you they no longer bring you the pot of(very hot, temperature wise) broth .so that you can add the noodles, chicken, shrimp, veggies, quail egg in it yourself! No more :(But the noodles were good, the flavor of the broth was good. Everything was just right. Now if only they’d offer spicy Er Si(rice cake noodles?) … *Yunnan Style Spicy Pork Ribs — This looked more like the pork version of a Sichuan-style-Chicken-with-chiles(La Zi Ji) … rather than what was shown in the menu. I will say that this was still tasty, the pork was lightly breaded and fried. It just was not what we were expecting The next two dishes we ordered were both too oily: **Yunnan Style Beef with Mountain Mushroom — Again the taste just wasn’t quite right… I probably would not order this dish again. I would say ease up on the sauce and then maybe the taste would be good… the way it was cooked, you lose the natural taste of the mushrooms **YuShiang Eggplant — Besides being oil, this dish was pretty standard. Yum. The service was pretty good… The tea was good … Um, I suppose I’d still return(if I’m in the Chicago area) for their cross-bridge rice noodles.
