Lahhhhgaaneeeettahhs — Is how we say it– would you like a «little sumptin sumptin»? My hubby sure does! We were headed to the city anyway, and heard the tour, free tasting of all their delish beers and visiting the«Schwag» store was worth visiting. You are in an industrial part of a not so great area,(It’s in an old Steel Mill Co from the 1840’s.) Way cool. We Ubered from Michigan Ave– about a 15 min ride. When you walk in, there is a disco ball swirling neon colors in the long hallway. Not what we would have expected. Off to the taproom we go… Taproom– so hipster as my kids might say. I AM making one of those Jenga games… Such a fun thing to have for any gathering with alcohol involved(okay.okay… Or even if not) the place was littered with Craig’s List specials, and like I said, a few games… cool! The place was jumpin’! They pour healthy taste, explain, move on… And on. End the tasting with a full pour beer. FREE. On to tour. Informative, hard to hear, as the brewery was in motion, so it was loud. Get close to the host if you want to hear. Schwag store– we bought a couple staples for our closet and ended in the BAR — me already buzzed… To eat and hang out with live music! Food was good, not spectacular, but hey, they make beer… Specialty is not food. Besides, once you had a few on them… Any food is good! The guy at the bar next to us actually asked if I would mind if he had some of my appetizer… Lol ballzy! I said yes… But that was the last of me eating that. Memorable part of the evening if anything else!!! Each beer is only 5 $ at the bar– food menu was reasonably priced, options plenty. Hubby had burger and I a turkey sandwich which really was decent. Live music that night was a one guy band… Eh, not our style… But music and talent I can’t brag to say I have… But we love live music any genre I guess. Go … Experience … Drink responsibly(lol) über… And have FUN! We did. You will too…
