Seems to be very quiet these days, which is a shame, it seems like a good space. But hey. As long as they can keep the lights on I’ll be back. I like it.

Best place you can come to buy a book on Serbian, English, Spanish or France language. They offering organic coffee, tea and food is really good. The most important is that this is really clean place and you can really feel free, safe and comfortable while you are in this store. Emlpyees are really friendly and positive and they will help you on any way they can. You won’t make misstake if you choose to come to this place.

I am absolutely amazed at how lovely this little café is. I found it riding by on my bike and decided to stop in. I was automatically greeted with a warm smile and an offer of coffee or tea. I chose to have some Turkish coffee and Elena, one of the employees began to tell me about it. They serve organic coffee and tea and also offer Serbian language classes. They have a great array of Serbian books and some in english. I stayed for about two and a half hours and it was the perfect atmosphere for me to pump out an essay and feel truly relaxed while doing so. When I was done with my coffee they gave me a free glass of water. They’re looking to do Jazz nights on Thursdays and have live music on Fridays. If you’re ever in Albany park and want some amazing coffee or tea in a beautiful atmosphere, then definitely stop by this lovely shop off of Kedzie Avenue. You will NOT be disappointed.

I was very confused when I saw all the reviews here. They were mostly five stars, and very opposite of what I had in mind of writing. After looking through some of them, I realized many were reviews from few years back. So I feel the need to write a latest review from last night. I was looking for a local coffee shop that was not closed at 8pm on a Saturday and stumbled upon here. With a group of four, we all thought it was a little out of place right when we entered. Was it a coffee shop? Book café? Or a bar? It was imply too dark to read anything, and all the books were in eastern European language. The server came to us without a menu and Just blanked at us so we had to start the talking. It was interesting that she had to go into a supply room to get a menu. Overall atmosphere seemed like they were trying to be a live venue bar, but there was no music playing or no one coming in yet except about six people who worked there. The owners were talking among themselves very loudly so it was hard to have a conversation at our table. We all ordered coffee drinks and found it tasting only bitter, and no coffee flavor at all. We were drinking a bitter flavored liquid, but no aromas of coffee at all. It was such a biwildering and confusing place, I should have just sticked to going starbucks which was the only coffee shop open around there. Not everything local is a neighborhood gem.

What to say about LadyBug Café? It is simply adorable. I am a tea drinker and I love their selection of teas so you will find me there often sitting and working on my files while using their FREEWIFI. What to say about their deserts? OMG! I wish I could have so much more than one or two of their crepes(honey walnut is my fav). Some nights they have music and then the place comes alive with a hostess who won’t quit being nice and welcoming. You just have to try this place. It’s full of surprises. Halloween parties, Christmas Parties, Kid’s Birthdays, Book Clubs(variety of books in both English and Serbian), etc… go for a cup of tea, coffee, or a drink or two while you mingle with beautiful people that come there. Just amazing…

I really enjoy the three hours that I spend studying in this café. Very friendly service. The pot of tea with honey on the side was very, very good. The best thing was that all of this cost less then $ 5.

This is a great place to get a good drink and take in some culture. The woman who runs it is very friendly and will take good care of you. It’s good, so stop reading reviews and just go now. Go! Go!

It’s maybe a little unfair to write this while I am sitting here, basking in my happy glow. You see, I have been on forced facebook hiatus. A tragedy of relatively less than minor proportions but still. Enter Ladybug… charming, open and gorgeously comfortable décor, delicious coffee — and FREEWI-FI! In my hole of a neighborhood, I can’t begin to accurately describe how happy this makes me. No crazy network blocks(ahem school — i’m looking at you), and seriously, the atmosphere can’t be beat. It’s a serious injustice that I am the customer right now because despite my love for Starbucks, the chain can’t even begin to compare. I do wish I could read something, anything in the nice selection of Serbian books. I may ask to live in the children’s playroom.

I come here when I am in need of a good read and I feel nostalgic for my hometown of Belgrade. Although, anyone who might like to relax in a charming, cozy European café, will certainly enjoy LadyBug. Free Wi-Fi available. They have delicious deserts and awesome Serbian coffee(aka Greek coffee). They have a nice little selection of hot and cold drinks too. They also have a good selection of Serbian books for purchase or to peruse while you are in the shop. I hope that they will continue to grow their book collection over time. Want to learn Serbian? They have adult and children Serbian classes in their rear meeting room. I encourage everyone reading this review to visit my favorite little European bookstore and café in Chicago.

I have lived in this area for about three years and am so happy to finally have a local café that serves great coffee drinks and has free wi fi. The service is much better than the neighboring Beograd. The owner is so sweet, she brewed a fresh cup of coffee for me and offered to make it stronger/weaker if I wanted. I hope they start offering food in the future but there are great pastries. I love the comfy feel of the place. There are leather couches, chairs and wooden tables. I will come back again.

Nice and friendly book store with a wide selection of Serbian books. They also have a few books in English as well as children’s books. A small stage is at the front of the store and at times they do have live music. The best part is the coffee bar in the back. They also have a nice tea service where you get an entire pot. Also check out their tasty deserts. This place is very child friendly. There is a small room off to the side where kids can play and color. Todor Krecu

If you’re interested in reading books in Serbian and/or drinking a cup of cappuccino with authentic Eastern European hospitality, support this local business. It’s a beautiful little book store.
