The worst tacos ever! I ordered 2 taco dinners. Meats were asada, al pastor and barbacoa. Meat was not good at all, especially the barbacoa. I specified I wanted lemon or lime with my order and I didn’t get it with my delivery. Never ordering from this place again. I ordered because the reviews weren’t bad but it was misleading.

I have recently found this place through Unilocal because of my cravings for Mexican food. The asada tacos and asada burritos are BOMB. They are the best burritos and tacos I have ever tasted. I would give five stars but their delivery service is really slow. Not only that but I have placed an order of an asada burrito with extra cheese on Unilocal for pickup. I get there after maybe ten mins of placing an order and the lady that works in the front counter asks me if I am there for pickup and I say yes. I give her my number and I see a piece of paper dangling with the rest of the orders and she barely hands it to the chef. i knew that was my order. I knew they rushed it because I did not get the extra cheese I paid for but it was delicious as I expected. As I write this, I have waited 49 minutes and counting for my THREE asada tacos. If you want fast service and food asap, this is not the place for delivery.

Cannot recommend, especially for delivery. Food was okay but TERRIBLESERVICE. Possibly better in restaurant — but the service we received — for a fairly large dollar order — was absolutely abysmal. Delivery was late, and half of our food was missing(an entire dinner missing, not something minor like a bag of chips or a side — this was a full dinner missing!). The delivery person was pleasant but instead of simply saying she would take care of it, started mildly freaking out and literally settled into my living room(while the half order of food sat in its bag, getting colder and colder) making repeated phone calls to the restaurant, who kept hanging up on her or putting her on hold. When a ‘manager’ finally took the call, they said«Well? So? What do you want ME to do about it??!» «the driver doesn’t want to go out just for one dinner!!»(we are +/-a mile from their restaurant) Eventually, after some discussion with my husband(who was nicer about this insanity than I would have been) someone at the restaurant finally figured out : big sigh: that they would send someone else with the rest of our food that we had paid for, and the first delivery person(finally) left our living room, where she had been camped out for over a half an hour. While waiting for delivery number two with the rest of our dinner, we decided to go ahead and eat the other(now sodden and ice cold) food. What we ate was — of course — cold but also we were really disappointed to see that the tacos we ordered were not made with only cilantro and onion as described on the menu, but instead were made ‘American style’ full of lettuce and shredded cheese and tomatoes which we did not ask for or want. My feeling was that they somehow decided we were«gueros» because we ordered thru Grubhub and thus gave us everything guero style(including bad service?). Another 30 minutes passes and no sign of our remaining food. Then we get a mysterious phone call. Caller puts us on hold(!!!) a few minutes someone picks up and says — in a really rude tone of voice ‘YOURFOODISALREADYTHERE!’ and then they hang up(???). We look outside. No food. No delivery driver. Nada. 10 more minutes pass — driver calls us and says our ‘food is here, come get it. ’ We look outside, driver is parked a half block away, expecting us to come to HIS car(???) My husband tells him NO, bring the food to the door, so they guy finally actually brings us our food. Now keep in mind here, we live in a quiet residential neighborhood, lots of parking, mostly folks over 55 — and this guy is acting all sketchy and weird, like he is delivering drugs to a war zone. It was bonkers. The whole thing from start to finish was bonkers. The food that we received was — in spite of all being cold — pretty good — except for the lettuce filled tacos. But the service was SO horrible and SO bizarre — no way would I order delivery from this place again. And if the service is that poor with a delivery, all I can imagine how awkward it would be to dine in at the restaurant. no thanks. Plenty of amazing restaurants to choose from in the area that provide great service and great food. GrubHub did offer us a $ 10 coupon to try to help offset this experience. The restaurant tho? Never even said they were sorry for the screw ups.
Tempestt I.

This is a true mexican food style restaurant. Don’t expect your mexican food to be americanized here. I had the red pozole(they have red, white and green) and it was sooooo good. the portion was huge and came with all the fixings(radish, lime, onion, cabbage, oregano, tostadas and 2 tacos dorados de papa), the coffee had cinnamon which was good b/c i hate bitter coffee. I wanted to try their quesadillas b/c they are made from masa and the size of your face but i didn’t have enough room! I will be going back soon. btw this is not a super fancy place, matter of fact if you blink you might miss it. But if you notice, most of the people in here seem to just walk in and know what they want so you can tell they are regulars. I dropped a star b/c they used canned nopales for my gordita! That’s a no no

First time trying this place… Ordered for delivery and got here on time. The Flor de Calabaza was delicious and my partner enjoyed her steak burrito. Will definitely order again from here

First time here and probably my last. The chips, salsa and horchata were good, the main course not so much. The three tacos were made very quickly, vegetables were very fresh and presentation was nice. Problem was that I found a chicken bone, a glob of fatty skin and cartilage in my taco. The chicken taco was the first one that I ate, so it spoiled my appetite. The steak was not good quality, and I bit into something hard in the second taco. I left most of the third one on the plate. The rice and beans were okay, but not served hot enough. There are better options in the area.

Food came at a decent time, however my sister got an asada burrito and there were cartilage pieces and hard to chew pieces. Disappointed.

We ordered from this place last night through Grubhub and we were very unhappy. I had to call the restaurant about an hour after Grubhub said the food was supposed to be here(so that’s two hours after ordering) and the woman who answered the phone hung up on me. I called Grubhub and told them what happened and the woman hung up on the customer service rep three times as well. The food comes 2 and a half hours after we order it and the guy comes to the door saying he «got lost». We have ordered from them before and the food was okay and the delivery time was decent so we didn’t understand what the big deal was. When we actually opened the bag, we found that two items were missing. We won’t be ordering from here ever again. Grubhub did their best and credited our account with $ 10 but this restaurant is not good with delivery.

Awesome location, walked one night after work. Great location, walking distance from my house. Friendly service, faces. Great food, awesome flavor and taste. Good affordable prices compared to a location a few blocks further down Diversey. The pico de gallo is amazing and perfect addition for the tacos and tortas. I have found a new spot for mexican food. I will be a regular, returning very soon. Amazing place. I recommend this location.

I was kind of disappointed after seeing so many raving reviews. The delivery was fast, my order was here within a half hour and the delivery driver was nice. I found it kind of odd how they didn’t inform him how much my total was or what my order even was. The chips and salsa were okay, nothing special but for the price it was an abundant amount. I think I’m more satisfied with the prices but the quality is the same as any other Mexican restaurant in the area. They didn’t really stand out or anything but I would order again for the price and portions.

Stumbled upon this gem when we were struck with an acute onset of a gluten-free hunger attack while shopping at the Brickyard Mall Home Depot. Very new and clean. Even the bathroom was sparkling. The employees were very sweet and welcoming. The food was scrumptious. We had the Caldo de Pollo —(chicken soup) and Caldo de Res —(beef soup). These were huge bowls of soup with meat, carrots, potatoes, green beans, zucchini and corn on the cob. They came with tortilla chips and 3 different types of salsa, rice and beans, extra cilantro and onions and piping hot tortillas.(We got the corn tortillas). It was so much food and it all came to about $ 15. I’ll definitely go out of my way to visit again and give this restaurant my business. Very tasty and excellent value and setting. Good for groups, families, dates or solo diners.
