Food is delicious! I’m a big fan of their tortas de carne asada. I’ve also had tacos here and burritos(I live a few blocks away) and they’re all great. Took away a star however because it takes long seems to take long even when it looks pretty empty.

Sooo good. We’ve been ordering from the same mexican place for about 2 years. But just to change it up, we decided to try this place. Well, to keep it short, this will now be the go-to for mexican food. :)

Ordered through grub hub and was slightly disappointed when it said my order wouldn’t arrive for over an hour. Pleasant surprise when my food showed up at the doorstep half an hour later. Food was hot and yummy, I had been craving chorizo so I ordered a burrito chorizo. Tacos I ordered for my daughter were really good too, I think I ate too much! Good job!

Finally, authentic Mexican food in Chicago! I’m a Chilanga and I approve this restaurant :)! We ordered via Grub Hub and were so pleasantly surprised! When I saw they had cuitlacoche and flor de calabaza I started to get a good feeling… their huaraches were amazing, quesadillas delicious. I love their thick homemade tortillas. The service was fast given the distance from restaurant to our house is 4 miles. Only thing, please send more than one lime next time! :) will definitely order again and highly recommend.

I will not order from here again! You cant go wrong with steak tacos. They were just basic and ok. We ordered also chicken tacos and they were pretty good. Chicken was flavorful. I ordered a burrito and it was horrible. The tortilla was crispy, i could barely get thru a quarter of it. The beans were not well blended, i felt like i was eating them right from the can.

This is the only place in ALLLL Chicago where I have found«tacos de canasta» that are the real thing! The«papas con chorizo» are to die for! The only problem is that I could not stop eating and got quite an upset stomach, but I guess 8 tacos would do that to anyone :). This place is way out of my neighborhood but I will be driving here very often! Worth the drive for sure!

Ordered from these guys through Grubhub & was pleasantly surprised. Order came in less than and hour, and the food was very authentic & piping hot. I liked how their burritos are not all tortilla & lettuce(Las Asadas, I’m talking to you!) Will totally order from them again!

Perfect mexican place to eat. Tacos de canasta were amazing. They are very hard to find. Unexperienced servers, but other than the food makes up for it. Horchata is amazing there.

This place is located in a pretty heavily populated Mexican neighborhood, with lots of other Mexican food places around. But this place is by far my favorite. The carne asada is what got me hooked. No nasty fat, not too greasy, and tasty! It’s a modern looking place, with cool Mexican wall décor, and El Gordo y La Flaca on the flatscreen TVs. The jugos(juices/drinks) are all natural too!

I’m very disappointed of this place, I red the other reviews and I was expecting a lot more in the service and food. It took more than 30 minutes to get our orders, I got mine 8 minutes after we ordered and the rest of them in 25 minutes later, I even asked to heat my mini Tacos de canasta in the microwave because they were cold. The food has an excellent flavor, but the service is really bad.

Finally found a good Mexican place that delivers to us. It wasn’t fast, but it was delivered warm and uncongealed, which is more than you can say for most delivery Mexican. And they have a lot of vegetarian options. Any place with flor de calabaza offerings is a winner in my book.

Hey, Arlene G. beat me too it! This was a really great find –a hidden gem. She and I were trying to meet somewhere between my work and her house and there is really nothing along Cicero Ave –especially considering parking. This is just slightly west of Cicero Ave. I found the menu to be interesting –I think they offer some items that are specific to a certain part of Mexico(I’m thinking D.F. or «Mexico City» due to the«Chilango» in the name. Chilango is slang for someone from Mexico City). Also, I saw things like bambasos and different kinds of tamales I had not seen in other restaurants. I like that they have nopales(cactus) which you can’t always find in every Mexican place. Overall, the food was cooked to order, fresh and had a «homemade» vibe to it. I was really impressed that this little tiny«hole in the wall» had such great food. Well, now we found our place in between both of us. Can’t wait to go back and try other items!

Went here last nite with 1 of my friends and we LOVED it! It’s not ur typical Mexican dishes but we were feelin adventurous so we went for it. I had a tripe taco, chicken taco and asada taco. All 3 were really yummy! You could taste the flavor in each one and it was delicious! The lady that served us was sooo nice. Since my friend speaks Spanish they conversed about the foods and she answered all our questions. The food tastes very authentic and fresh. We will DEFINITELY come back to this place for the great food and wonderful service!

I have only been to la chilangueada once. A friend recommended this place to me. She recommended it for the hurraches. OMG!!! It is soooo yummy It like this long piece of bread with salsa on the bottom, meat, beans, sour cream, cheese and more salsa. Very good. The service was great too.
