Food was good but ordered it online — requested steamed potstickers, and got fried. Diet Coke and received regular Coke. Tiny box of rice for a larger sizes Mongolian beef — so request more rice. Delivery took well over an hour.

Very surprised with how good this food is. There’s a couple of dishes I judge a restaurant on if they can’t nail it. For Chinese cuisine, it’s the egg rolls and a chicken dish. Long story short, Kim Long’s egg rolls are some of the best I’ve had. With the chicken, I ordered traditional Thai fried chicken wings and an order of Szechuan chicken. Both dishes had great flavor. The wings weren’t big, but had a nice crunch to them. A plus is that they have about 5 or 6 different types of wing flavors to choose from. Ordering was a breeze. Even on new years eve, Kim Long had my wait time only at 20 minutes. Mind blowing, and made me very happy considering Jess Café told me 4 hours wait time –_-. I picked up my order so I didn’t dine in, but I did get a view of the inside. It’s small, but has plenty of seating. Jess Café was my first choice, but with the ridiculous wait times, I chose to bite the bullet and go somewhere new. I’m glad I did. Kim Long will be my go-to spot for Chinese for now on. And for dessert, don’t forget to stop by next door for a delicious donut at Something Sweet.

I come here often when I have a craving for Chinese food. They conveniently have different sizes for portions. I usually get an extra large fried fried which serves at least 3 people. Food is fresh and staff is always friendly. Highly recommend to try their smoothies as well! They’re deliciousss!

I ordered through grubhub and wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant and came across this 4 star place. It was the most disgusting, grainy, soggy, poorly seasoned Chinese food I’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken noodle soup, chicken chow mein, and chicken & broccoli lunch meal with fried rice. The fried rice was dry and had a gross texture and taste. Everything I ordered was so bad I threw it all away, all $ 30 of it. Bummer that their rating didn’t reflect their quality accurately.

Ordered delivery from this place and it was just awful. Right from the moment our food got delivered down to its consumption. Delivery man first called to say he was downstairs, but really wasn’t. I explained that he should be around a building with a white fence, he agreed and I had my boyfriend go down to get the food. After about a minute or so, the delivery man called me again YELLING that he was downstairs. I repeated the address and that he should be around a white fence. He then hung up on me. I looked outside to see if there was a car or if the delivery man was anywhere around. He was parked about 5 houses down and as he approached my building, I tapped the window and he aggressively pointed, demanding that I come downstairs even though my boyfriend was waiting right there. Next is the food. We ordered beef phở– side of broth, I guess? All the places I’ve gone to for, phở have an insane amount of broth to go with the noodles. Nope, not this place. And the fried wonton… I won’t even waste my time, here. Overall, not a place I’d be ordering or eating from again.

I ordered egg foo young and egg drop soup. BOTH had shells. Put me off my meal completely and I will never order from them again. I seriously can’t stand a place that doesn’t take care with things like that. It’s inexcusable. That said, their one redeeming quality was the beef fried rice which I did like, but I only ordered a small because I thought that the rest of the food was going to be sufficient.

I have to say, the best thing about this place is the service, followed by the décor. That’s about all this restaurant has going for it. The food doesn’t look bad(on the contrary, it looks quite appetizing), but it’s just, well… FLAVORLESS. It pains me to say this, because I love supporting local businesses, but people are outa their damn minds if they think this is ‘great’ Chinese food. Check your tastebuds. Seriously. It isn’t even ‘good.’ It baffles me how words like these can even be associated with this establishment. Being born and raised in this city, outside of Chinatown, there have only been 4 Chinese restaurants that I can say are good-to-great: — Mon Lung(Wicker Park area) — Hands down my favorite — Tony’s Chinese(Cragin area) — Very good, but sadly they don’t deliver And the other two are no longer in existence. Brutal honesty aside, I really hope the owners of this place aspire to taking more pride in what they serve, because aside from the food, everything else is great! Please, please, PLEASE make an effort because this area needs good Chinese that delivers!!!

I have a ritual of going to Somethin’ Sweet Donuts every weekend for a doughnut fix. On my last visit, I asked the woman behind the counter about Kim Long Restaurant, wondering if she had gone there. She gave me a modest, «It’s okay» response. It was considerably better than okay. Hong Kong milk tea. Hot and sour soup. Salt and pepper shrimp. Shrimp in lobster sauce. I’m hooked on the Hong Kong milk tea. The hot and sour soup had a lot more flavour to it than what I’ve had at Americanized Chinese restaurants. The salt and pepper shrimp was a winner. I wasn’t expecting the head to be attached to the shrimp and once I got the shell off, it was all good. I’m addicted to the shrimp in lobster sauce. When I was leaving, I saw an older woman who used to be at Somethin’ Sweet Donuts when I was going there. She mentioned that the doughnut shop and Kim Long Restaurant are family owned. I guess my ritual now will be to go to Kim Long for dinner and then to Somethin’ Sweet Donuts for my usual doughnut dessert fix.

Not what I expected at all. This place EXCEEDED my expectations. I ordered the combination pad Thai, spring rolls, crab Rangoon, combination fried rice, and the general tsao chicken for delivery. Quick delivery. I opened up my first order the pad Thai. WOW! The presentation for this dish was beautiful, keep in mind this was delivery. The spring rolls AMAZING, ok I expected some fried spring rolls but these were different in the clear wrap with fresh veggy stuffing, the size of these rolls were HUGE. It came with this tasty sauce and my favorite chili sauce(I’ve always had to pay extra for this sauce at my old Chinese favorite restaurant. .not here though). Again the presentation was lovely and appetizing. Everything else tasted really fresh and incredibly great. The crab Rangoon was nicely made and also nice in presentation. I was really impressed, this will be my new favorite Chinese restaurant. I wish I would have taken pictures but I was so hungry and I hate when people take photos of their food lol. Oh I received complimentary cookies with the little message papers inside of them, the name of these escape my mind but I was delightfully surprised. And I received a free Thai ice tea, not even a small one but a decent sized one. It was refreshingly delicious. What a nice gesture. I did not expect such great quality food at such an affordable price. It almost seemed like an insult on my end to eat this food as delivery or take-out. I’m born and raised in Chicago, a place where good food is common but this food was beyond my expectations. Awesome job. I can’t say enough.

This Chinese restaurant is superior to all other Chinese restaurants in my area strictly based on their amazing egg rolls. I’ve ordered from many Chinese restaurants throughout my lifetime from all over Chicago and have found that many do not serve homemade egg rolls, but rather a frozen brand with a horribly seasoned cabbage filling and thick nasty dough. Not Kim Long. They are a small family owned businesses, and I’ve actually witnessed the Grandfather hand rolling their egg rolls in their restaurant dining room. They use a paper thin egg roll wrapping sheet and fill it with their own homemade filling. They deep Fry em till they’re golden brown and amazing. Even when ordering for delivery, the always arrive with that amazing crispy outer shell when you bite into them followed by a fresh & well seasoned filling. I always order the same thing: Barbeque Pork fried rice, extra dark & with extra scallions. On occasion Ill order the pot stickers which are huge but taste just okay or the vegetable lo mein which is also just okay. I never order anything else from here so I really can’t review any other dish, but my boyfriend is not a fan of their Orange Chicken, so avoid that I suppose. All together my favorite lil Chinese spot

A hidden treasure of the Craigin neighborhood. Simply amazing. I love the food, the prices, and the service. Dollar for dollar, this the best restaurant in the area. I used to go to their previous location for years but I’m glad this new spot is just as good but with an updated space. Some will disagree but the egg rolls here are the best! They’re crispy, not soggy or bread, like. Enjoy!

It’s an amazing place with amazing food! The shrimp sour soup is the best! The only problem I have is the lack of spiciness. Overall is the best Chinese food I ever had!

Everyone gave good reviews for this place so I decided to try it out. Delivery was fast and also putting in the order was smooth. I had beef pad Thai, general tso, shrimp fried rice, crab Rangoon, and also fried shrimp. The food was good just lacked flavor, but it was fresh. If it had flavor it would been perfect ! Maybe next time

My family and I use to order from this place all the time back when their location was on Armitage and Kostner. The other day I found out they had moved locations so I decided to order food for my mom’s birthday. I called the place and ordered some food. I was very, very disappointed when I got home and opened up all the food. First of all, for $ 6.95, the amount of Mongolian Shrimp I got was just disappointing. It could barely feed a person. White rice was suppose to come with it and it was a misery. It was a small box with basically 2 scoops of rice in there. I was disappointed because I spent $ 30 on their food and I received enough to feed maybe 3 – 4 people with no seconds. Before we would order about $ 27 worth of food and we would eat a lot between 4 people and even have seconds and left overs. Not worth it. I am disappointed in this place and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Everyone here is nice. Delivery is crazy fast. I like what I like and that’s really the key. If you’re in the neighborhood try out the menu if you don’t like one thing try something else.

I really like the food and people @ Kim Long’s. The lunch specials are tough to beat. The new address is 5114 W. Fullerton and it’s worth the drive.

Moving is never complete until you find a Chinese place. Kim Long has great food and great service. The man working the counter was extremely nice and didn’t rush me to order. The do have lunch specials, but if you don’t make it for them their food is not expensive. The Singapore noodles were AMAZING! The orange chicken and pot stickers are also great. Oh… and the portions let me have left overs for a couple days which I love. They take pickup orders – which don’t take very long and they deliver.
