This park has gotten a complete facelift with new equipment and friendly faces. Swings for big kids deprecate from babies, a few different slides and a big space to run in between. I used to go to Holstein in Bucktown which is completely small and shabby compared to Kelvyn. For sports, lots of volleyball, soccer (field & in the fenced courts) football practice & tennis courts. No pool but there is an outdoor water spray for the kids.

This is an iffy park. On a good day it’s great but on most days you will see a lot of gangbangers hanging around. The kids aren’t the friendliest either. A lot of them are really mean to the other kids. We come to this park on the days we don’t have a car but when we have the car we try to go to a little nicer parks. It’s amazing how much nicer kids are when we go to parks like Portage or Holstein.
