Once again this place screwed up my to-go order. That’s twice now in 2 weeks. Rude staff with no idea of customer service principles. On top of that, outrageous price for a lettuce sandwich with 2 slices of meat. Never coming back.

Freaky Fast! No, seriously. They are ridiculously fast. In the store and by delivery. I freakin’ love them. Sure my office is right around the corner, but I swear they run. My sandwich arrives in less than 10 minutes every time I order delivery and is ready in less than a minute when I go in and order for pick up. They forgot my hot peppers once and they were Speedy freakin’ Gonzales with the replacement peppers delivered to my office. Yes. I think I’ll keep them.

I’m disappointed with this location. I ordered a tuna club(#15), and when I got back to work, I found that there was more lettuce than tuna in my sandwich. Furthermore, it was the size of a regular sandwich, not a club. I love Jimmy John’s, but y’all done did me wrong.

I came to this Jimmy Johns ONLY because Chipotle wasn’t opening for another 30 minutes and this was right next door. It was a typical Jimmy John’s visit, but unlike other JJ locations, they didn’t have a menu on the wall where it was actually eye level with you. Their menus are above their cash register. I didn’t have my glasses on and it was INCREDIBLY hard to read the menu. My fault, I know BUT other JJs have paper menus for their customer’s but this one didn’t. They made my sandwich quick, I ate it and left. It tasted just as great as other places I’ve gotten it.

I’m a college kid, who needs a meal on-the-go which this place was great, until I had food poisoning. Not so great after all. I’ve been to other Jimmy John’s restaurants as well, I also received food poisoning except in the northern side of Chicago. I am not satisfied with this event occur to me, TWICE! Jimmy John, make sure your food is well done before releasing it to your customers.

Dear Jimmy Johns, While your sandwichs are yummy, you won my heart over with your customer service. I often work long hours and can’t find the time to go out and grab lunch. That is where you come in. The fact that you consistently deliver my order within 10 – 15 minutes of its submission amazes me. Even though the price may be higher than what I can get from local competitors, their customer service doesn’t compare to you.

So much better than Subway. Friendly, and you end up with a decent sandwich super fast. Appears they don’t skimp on the good stuff at all like Subway does either

Somehow I made it through college and life up to almost age 24 without ever having Jimmy Johns… I rarely spent money on fast food and if I did it was always Subway. Anyway, I learned this week that I’ve been missing out! Jimmy Johns came to my work and delivered free«mini» subs and I was able to taste a veggie sub. I was sold! Never have I had such fresh cucumber and tomatoes on a sandwich from Subway. I’ve ordered it twice this week and it was delivered promptly and the delivery people were really friendly and polite :) I now get what all the fuss about this place is about. Keep up the good service and fresh veggie sub making!

A chain in Chicago, this place offers cheap and quick sandwiches. The normal sandwiches feature hollowed out bread which means less carbs for the health concious. A good alternative to Subway.

Meh. Second Jimmy Johns in two days that didn’t give me my sprouts! Coincidence? I don’t know, so I decided to call and ask. Apparently Chicago is on a «sprout drought.» So no Jimmy Johns in the area has sprouts? Apparently, that’s what the women told me. I was thinking about rethinking my opinion about this place and trying to form a positive one, but I can’t. Sprouts are a key ingredient in the #4 turkey sandwich; it’s not the same without them. It would be one thing if they told me ahead of time. Holding back information is just as bad as lying in my book, hence the low rating. You know, I can handle honesty. But they let me pay for the sandwich, get all the way home, only to discover a pile of cheap turkey, old lettuce, and mushy tomatoes loaded with thick mayo and NOSPROUTS! No thanks. I’ll pass on the Jimmy Johns from now on.

Insert generic Jimmy John’s review here. Really, what is there to say for this place? I need to pad my Review bin if I want to keep my elite status so I’m trying to come up with something but drawing a blank. Really fast? Great Service? Good Sandwich? Yes! But then again, all Jimmy Johns are like this. Its a great business model. End Review/

I tried Jimmy John’s for the first time yesterday. I walked in after 6pm, and I told the only Asian guy working there that I’ve never been here before and asked for a recommendation. He recommended the #5 Vito sandwich, which is basically their Italian sandwich. The sandwich tasted almost exactly like L’Appetito’s. It wasn’t OMG-great, but it wasn’t bad. I liked it okay. The extra star is for their service. The Asian guy was friendly. He asked if there was anything I wouldn’t eat, if there was anything that I’m allergic to, etc. Then when he recommended the sandwich, he told one of the black guys(with glasses) in the kitchen to make the sandwich with love. Aww! That’s sweet. Then after I took a few bites out of my sandwich, they both asked me(at different times) how I liked the sandwich. Very attentive! I liked that.

Nothing exciting, nothing offensive: that’s Jimmy John’s! This one has nothing terrible going on, other than you order at the front of the restaurant in front of the door, so if there’s a line it’s annoying because you’re in everyone’s way. Otherwise, no gripes.

I’ve been to this location quite a few times and always get the #12 Beach club(tuna, avocado, sprouts, provolone, etc). The last time the jipped me on the avocado so this time I specifically asked them to make sure they put enough on there. Well, the cashier had an attitude and asked if I wanted to pay extra. I said no, I just want a decent amount. I get back to work — there’s no avocado on 2⁄3 of the sandwich so I call the manager. He proceeds to tell me that«due to the economy I should understand the limited amount of avocado». I let him know that«due to the economy» my $ 6.57 sandwich should include everything I paid for. Is he kidding? Needless to say, my days with Jimmy John’s are through… at least until the economy picks up and allows them to fix my sandwich properly. **Edited: The manager told me to come back in and my next sandwich is on him, but I let them know that I’ll pass on it. I told them«If the economy is too rough for avocado, I’m sure you can’t afford to give away a sandwich.»

Every time I go to a Jimmy John’s, I’m reminded of how much I dislike these places. The roast beef doesn’t taste like roast beef. The tomatoes don’t taste like tomatoes. The bread tastes like air, not fresh baked bread. All this can be had for only $ 7. I implore you to go instead to a place like Fontano’s a couple of blocks away, and compare it to Jimmy John’s. The food tastes 10X better and it’s somehow cheaper too. Both of those stars are for the friendly staff and clean restaurant. If this place weren’t attached to the building I work in, I’d never, ever go in.

I don’t like that I live and work near 2 Jimmy John’s locations because it’s hard not to stop by often for a quick bite to eat. I like coming to this one though. This location has a friendly bunch of people working there. I swear you feel like Norm from«Cheers» as you soon as you walk in(okay, maybe not quite like Norm since they don’t know me by name). With all the«hi’s» or «Hey’s,» etc. coming from all directions, they make you feel welcome. A good lunch option if you’re in the area, but be ready to take your food to go… seating is almost impossible!
