We had our wedding at Jackson Junge and had the best night of our lives. Chris, Sam, and Scott were incredible throughout the process, checking in with us and helping us at every turn. They were super accommodating with our vendors, our décor, and our use of the space, even letting us do a rehearsal the night before without having to rent the space for it. They are also INCREDIBLY reasonably priced and really easy to get to for any event. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They were incredible and made our day so special. We also love the art in the gallery — always really cool and supportive of local artists. Additional bonus that they have stuff in all kinds of price ranges so you don’t have to waltz in with a couple thousand just to start looking, if that’s not your budget.

I live right near Jackson Junge Gallery so I made a stop by when I was looking for art for my place. It’s a great gallery and an amazing space. The events that they hold here are fun. I highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you are in Wicker Park.

What a lovely lovely space and what a lovely selection of artists. I was walking by here and actually backtracked to the door to wander in and look around. Wonderful.

I came here for three framing jobs and I was beyond disappointed with the process and the product. The woman doing the measurements had no idea what she was doing — offering matting options that were actually discontinued and providing no guidance on selecting the size of the mats for an scale for the projects. The owner tried to help, but the frames look like my toddler did it unsupervised at the Great Frame Up. The corners aren’t crisp and look sloppy(how is that possible?). I have them up on the wall and every time I see them, I contemplate going elsewhere to have them re-framed. It’s THAT bad.

Loved the show at Jackson Junge Gallery, glad I checked it out. Lindsey, the gallery rep, was also very knowledgeable and friendly! Well worth a visit!

I bought an amazing piece I really love at this gallery called«Synchronicity». But over and above the great art and great custom framing, I love this gallery as they are just great neighbors and member of the community. I bought another piece of art at another gallery about 5 years ago that had a defect. I was trying to send it back to them and there was a very involved process of removing the art from the frame. I brought the piece to Jackson Junge, and the owner Chris, happily helped me out even though this was not his piece. He would not accept payment. Chis is a standup guy and Jackson Junge is a neighborhood treasure. Also, make sure to check out their showings/parties as they are always well attended and are lots of fun.

First and foremost: They do have a beautiful gallery and if you’re going there to get a _picture_framed, I wouldn’t steer you away. They’re nice people who do a good job with that. As someone who appreciates art — their gallery is really nice and I don’t want to take that away from them. My 2 star review covers my personal experience with framing something that may have simply been a bit out of their wheelhouse. I got a deal(LivingSocial, I believe) for framing with them, and I wanted a hockey jersey framed. I had read up on them before buying the voucher and had read a mention or two of jerseys so I thought I’d give it a shot. I am the sort of person who has a difficult time sending food back if it’s prepared wrong, etc — I’m nonconfrontational to a fault… but a signed jersey to me is a big centerpiece that I care about having done right — so when I got my jersey back and I was pretty disappointed, I actually said something about it. It was rather sloppily framed, asymmetrical(one sleeve was pinned higher than the other, etc)… Upon bringing it back, they were very nice and said they’d redo it for me free of charge and wanted to make sure I was satisfied. Cool — I’m not impatient to get it back, I just want it done right. Even upon getting it back, although it was better, it was not«well done». Parts of the sleeve numbers are folded over /not visible, the jersey wasn’t pressed down very well so it looks wrinkly(heck, if they don’t do that and wanted to suggest I should press it myself before giving it to them I’d have been OK with that) Here are a couple of examples of quality framing jobs with jerseys — clearly pressed flat and folded very precisely: Mine came back wrinkly and not very precisely folded. Being as nonconfrontational as I am, I couldn’t bring myself to send it back a second time, and I also figured that maybe I’d just come to the wrong place to get a jersey framed… To be fair to them: that’s not everyone’s expertise and they’re certainly not a sports oriented shop. In conclusion: I would not recommend them for a jersey, but for framing photos, artwork etc — they would certainly do a fine job. They’re very nice people and they tried to be accommodating, I just think that jersey /memorabilia framing may not really be in their wheelhouse.

Wonderful staff here! Very helpful and knowledgable with custom framing suggestions. I absolutely loved their selection of art too. I could easily see myself spending a lot of money in this place :) I Highly recommend J2 for all your framing needs. You won’t be disappointed.

I wandered in at a friend’s suggestion & was amazed at the selection. When I told Chris I needed a piece framed as a special bday present, he framed it the same day. 2 hours later — mission accomplished! The selection, prices & customer service are great here-enjoy!

Really talented artists here. I was especially happy with the Mayor Daley exhibition they had. Also, I felt this was the real reason for this review — EXCELLENT food during openings. Like, fondue, cupcakes, sausage, everything is awesome.

Coolest art gallery EVER? Maybe. Coolest art gallery I’ve ever seen? Definitely. This place has great modern-type art(not like«modern art» but art that is modern) and you can go in and look around without feeling like you’re imposing. The only bad thing about this place is that there are reasonably priced prints, which means I am sorely tempted to buy every single one. So yes. Go here.

Jackson Junge Gallery also known as J2Gallery has a very interesting selection of original work by Laura Lee Junge at the moment. Her work is surreal and at times three dimensional. Some of Laura’s work would fit in well in the baby’s room. They also provide custom framing services.
