Love this place! They give you a lot of food for the price. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and answer any questions you have. Overall just a great place to get lunch! I recommend getting their chicken with pita bread and red pepper hummus. Their hummus is made with organic chickpeas which is a bonus.

The place looks nice and it’s organized. I ordered a falafel pita pocket and it was meh. They give a tiny spoonful of hummus that barely covers a corner of the pita bread. There were 3 small cold undercooked falafel on the bottom topped with layers of toppings. Maybe it was just today, but I probably wouldn’t go again for falafel.

The food here is good, but more than once now, I ordered their falafel pocket, and they put all the toppings in there, before they had even fried the falafel. The result is a bunch of dry falafel on top of a soggy salad sandwich. They are called«toppings» for a reason. Disappointing, and quite annoying when you’ve been looking forward to it at lunch.

When I ask them the source of the meats they openly explained each of them and assured that they are all Zabiha Halal. As a Turkish, I can say that Turkish doner is really good. I wish they had more places around the town.

Tender doner kebab and strong, fresh flavors in the food but bland hot sauce and garlic sauce — I also tried their bottled iced tea on a whim and it was delicious! Try Joe Tea. Enjoy the CYO plate. The portions I received were not as plentiful as some of the others shown on Unilocal, but I think the pricing was on par with Falafel Island, at least.

One of the best falafel wraps that I had in US. The falafel were not salty as I find in some places. I selected the onions, cucumber sauce, baba ganoush and jalapeños as stuffing. The falafel plate with hummus was also very good. We also took a lentil soup which was good.

If you’re looking for a decent Mediterranean place, you’ll probably like this. It has the basic staples(hummus, falafel, etc.) at a good price. However, it is nothing more than that. Compared to other Halal food, this is just average. Not bad at all, but certainly not the best. If you’re craving Med. food, you will be super satisfied. However, better Med. food exists.

I go here regularly. I’ve yet to have a bad experience. It’s near my office, so it’s a real blessing. The line moves fairly quick. If I had one complaint, if anything, its that it can take a while to get their falafel ready if they’d run out. But that could just be I show up when the lunch rush takes a dip. Other than that, the quality of food is solid, I recommend the CYO plate, it’s a great deal and leaves me feeling satisfied. All for under $ 9, that’s a steal in the loop!

This is the best of the ubiquitous Mediterranean fast food chains that proliferate Chicago’s loop. I strongly recommend the Turkish Doner Wrap with the chips. The Pita chips are so delicious! Are they fried? Don’t tell me.

This is the IDOF very close to my work place. I come here once and a while to get some HALAL Mediterranean food. I really like this restaurant. I don’t like the chicken or steak, so whenever I come here so I get the falafels or the doner kabob(gyros). The options they offer are very filling, satisfying and yummy! The most money you will pay is like 12 dollars for your food. Today I got a doner kabob wrap and it looked like a big burrito. I put hummus, saffron rice, and tzaiki in there too. It was so scrumptious! I like having a different burrito option besides chipotle. There is only so much of it you can eat. Not to mention that they always give me a cold burrito, and then I have to rely on a microwave to heat it up! If you are in the area and tired of all the chain restaurants,(i.e. starbucks, mcdonalds, chipotle, e.t.c) then try this place out.

Regardless of the poor name the food is really good and the portion to price ratio is very acceptable. It’s fairly healthy yet hearty food that won’t make you want to nap after eating. The staff is nice as well.

I was so excited when I saw this place and ended up going for lunch. I really like the set up of this place(kind of reminded me of a chipotle type set up). You choose whether you want a wrap, salad plate, rice plate or CYO plate(create your own plate) and then you basically choose what you want on it. The difference between this place and Chipotle is they do not rush you here, they are patient with you. So let me get to the point, the food I received was not fresh. I have no desire to go back.

I haven’t had much here, so maybe this review isn’t really fair, but what the hell. I had the baba ghouj and was really underwhelmed. It was more of a paste than the stringy eggplant that normally makes up the dish. To top it off, the pita just wasn’t right. I don’t know how to explain the super mediocre/subpar taste. It just wasn’t great.

Seriously, awesome Restuarant and wonderful staff! The staff is painfully NICE and the food is delicious! I highly recommend the soup, and I love that you get a punch card which ultimately leads to a free meal ;) Definitely a place to go eat with friends or alone! If your in a hurry or just want to relax and sit with your computer or a book, it’s great for both! :)

This place ROCKS! I am new to Mediterranean food. A co-worker of mine from Turkey recommended this place to me. If it is good enough for him, I figured, why not! The lentil soup is to die for! Make sure you get the lemon wedge with it., it adds another layer of intensity to the soup. I have tried the«IDOF’s Chicken Shawarma«wrap and the Falafel Rice plate. Both were VERY good and a lot of food for the price! The staff here is incredible! Very friendly and warm! Have a question about the cuisine, ask them, they are here to help! If you stop by, be sure to pickup a «Lunch Club» card. By ten, get one free… Enjoy!

This place is pretty decent for lunch. The falafel isn’t bad and the fresh laffa wraps are great. The big problem is the fact that the meat sits there and dries out in warming trays and rather than throw it out when it gets too dry they just pile it on someone’s wrap. Not bad if you just want extra dry meat, but I’d rather wait an extra 30 seconds for them to shave meat off the spit for every dish. The service is also so/so but it’s new so hopefully that will change. Overall decent, but plenty of room to improve.

First time here, used to go to the one that closed on Monroe. They seemed extremely stingy to me. There are other places in the loop with the same quality of food that serve twice the amount for the same price. I wouldn’t mind the less food, just reflect it in your pricing. And I just had a substantial shard of bone in my chicken. I am bleeding. No thank you.
