ordered the 10 piece roasted chicken(five legs and five thighs served with pilav rice) it was over seasoned and over cooked… the chicken was too salty! the meat was dry! ended up eating 1 pc with rice before tossing it all away. =(

Yummy cooked to order fried chicken that comes with a generous serving of potato wedges. Good find after walking the auto show at McCormick Place.

After 6 years and sampling basically everything they have, I can now say this place rocks. Everything is good. Just go and try something. You won’t be disappointed.

The best restaurant in Chicago. I love them, jerk chicken pasta fish fried chicken sides etc. The best in my opinion if there not it’s really close to it. They can b pricy but I treat myself every time I have a chance. Now they cook with untraditional seasonings and herbs but you’ll luv um. The best must try!!!

22 minutes for chicken tenders. Meh. Next time I’ll have to get an actual chicken meal.

I was staying at the Hyatt and decided to go on a walk. Glad I made it further into a neighborhood which looks to be more scary for some but hey, it’s an adventure. Glad I did. There is a 20 minute wait for the fried chicken as it is cooked to order. Liked — fried chicken wings — potato wedges — hot sauce So So — roasted chicken(it was dry and cold) Disliked — rice pilaf(cold and either undercooked or overcooked, just too dry) Go back for the fried chicken but not the roasted.

They will never receive my business again. First of all, they are over priced. Secondly, when I placed my order, I was told my order would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. Since there wasn’t any parking available, I waited in a running car for 15 minutes with my son before I called for a status. No only was there no record of my order. I was told they would discount me $ 2.00… Really, I spent $ 2.00 worth of gas waiting for my order. I told them that this was unacceptable and they told me that they would rush the order, and that it should only be another 15 minutes. I’m sorry this is not good customer services. I took my business across the street to Sharks and I’m currently enjoying my lemon pepper chicken. Thank you sharks!

I got take out from this place. I was impressed with the price point and quality. The food was very good. We got the 4 piece dark meal and the skin was super tasty. The wedges that come with are super great. I usually am not a fan of those cause they’re bland but these were good. I also got fried mushrooms, which were solid. The chicken itself is very solid.

This is definitely not a four star restaurant ! Barely a decent greasey spoon. My chicken curry was mostly skin and bones over rice with a few pieces of onion — walk over to the hyatt for much better food

I found this on Unilocal nearby the hotel within walking distance. I ordered shrimp curry and naan to go. The price was right and food tasty. There was only room for a few to eat in that’s why I did not give them five stars. Excellent food for the type of setting.

The only complaint I have, is that the wait can be long. However you’re paying for the freshness of the food. This place is quite good with a balanced menu. I’ve been twice in three days… Oh and the lemonade, well that’s an acquired taste but I took it home and made Popsicles with it

Been coming to this place for many many years. Chicken is better then ever. Love the fresh lemonade. Now you can get it buy the case. Try the new Caramel Pecan Cookies Buy the way the food is cooked fresh to order so please remember that when you may be in a hurry Thank you happy Eating

I had the curry shrimp. It was mild & flavorful. The portion size was decent but I wouldn’t have been unhappy with more. I was expecting to receive a complimentary beverage as I did when ordered a lunch special from the adjacent restaurant, but I was told a beverage wasn’t included because it wasn’t a lunch special. I would recommend adding lunch specials to their menu. I would recommend ordering ahead if you’re picking up lunch because they seem to stay pretty busy.

Ok. Here’s how a place gets 5 stars. The chefs behind the counter yelled out to everyone in the restaurant warning them, «the parking meter police are coming!». One of the guys in the restaurant rushes out and tries to move his car but the parking meter guy is already issuing a ticket. The owner of the place, I’m guessing it was Chef Luciano, goes out and starts yelling at the meter police saying, «hey, you’re hurting my business». All to no avail, but I really appreciate the effort. Oh, and the roasted chicken, curried rice, fried okra, and cherry cola were superb. They even bottle their own house-made lemonade. If you want to avoid mediocre, overpriced food at the convention center but don’t want to walk all the way to Chinatown, give this place a try.

I recently enjoyed the Chef Luciano Experience. He was chilling in the dining area when I ordered my Curry chicken. It was AMAZING! Well seasoned, not overly hot, spiced just right. The chicken was cooked tender and fell off the bone easily. The portion size was appropriate and the price — Best value meal I’ve had in Chicago so far. As a native of Toronto, Canada, i’m accustomed to multi-ethnic dining establishments. This was a rare find in chicago for me in a sea of chain/theme restaurants. The service is quick, friendly. I wished I had tried the lemonade. Next time, I’ll try something more fried –PS — it was kinda cool to have a good chat with Chef Luciano himself, hear how he started, where he started from, and why his business has been successful, despite his humble beginnings. It was an honor to have my photo taken within him! I will return their with my family…

Curry chicken with rice pilaf, German chocolate cake and a good ol’ bottle of Chef Luciano’s Gourmet Hot Sauce. Okay what is wrong with this picture? I was so looking forward to eating here and my co worker decided, lets go there. So we proceeded and first off, mind the meter man who sits and lurks by AT&T(behind the Chicken), he waits like a hawk and if you dare leave without visiting Mister Meter, good God almighty you will get a ticket. But of course that was not the case for me, I put in money because I knew that I would never be able to contest that ticket, but the others near me, Hmmmm, screaming at the top of their lungs that they were only there for 5 minutes(ummm you broke the law)! Anyway, the Curry chicken was alright, it did have a bite to it but not enough to knock me down! The rice pilaf was also okay and kind of disappointing. The German chocolate cake you ask? Now that threw me back so far that I saw past lives! It was really good! But this is not a «German Chocolate Cake Gourmet Spot». So for the first time coming here, I was disappointed enough for a 3 star. Not saying I wouldn’t come back, because I definitely am coming back. But probably for the Chicken(on steroids) wings that my co worker bought. They were massive with attitude, and with some of my Luciano’s Hot Sauce, well this should be interesting to say the least. Again, its not that I didn’t like the food here, but if the dessert is better then the food, ummmm I am not sure if I can be worthy of a great status. But, I would definitely try them again like I said.

Been here twice so far. First time I got curry chicken and garlic mushrooms for carryout. The chicken was moist and rice was ok, but just wasn’t very flavorful. Did have a kick to it as I kept eating. Garlic mushrooms had a nice crunchy breading and the sauce was nice. Just wish there was a bit more for the $ 2.95 price… why are breaded mushrooms so expensive??? Second time I ate there. We ordered the fried chicken and the fish fry which was fried tilapia with potato wedges, coleslaw and bread. Fried chicken was moist, but some of it still have red to it. Not much flavoring. Fried tilapia was ok, a bit soggy and potato wedges were ok. Coleslaw tasted a bit different than I’ve had and didn’t care for it. Not a bad place, but was hoping for more flavor.
