Huge selection of Beer at affordable prices. The food was also out of this world! I tried a specialty sandwich they make called the Sicilian, delicious! I’m looking forward returning again very soon.

Pros: Great food, decent drink specials, open late Cons: HORRIDSERVICE, and not just once, but every single time I go there. Waitresses disappear and get orders wrong, everyone has a bad attitude(especially the regular bartender, it’s like she’s TRYING not to get tipped), and they don’t follow the hours they’ve set. Twice I’ve gone there hours before they were supposed to close only to walk in and have the bartender shout«we’re closed!». I asked if they changed their hours and she just said they’re closed, leave. Alrighty, she wants to go home, I’ll give my money to someone else. If you do go here I recommend getting your seat then asking the bartender to send a waitress over. If you don’t, you’ll be sitting for 15+ min until a waitress comes back from break and realizes she has a table. Even then, order everything ahead of time, because your server will only stop by your table once or twice. I really like this place, I just wish they hired better servers/bartenders. I don’t even know how many times I’ve had to just walk out because I couldn’t order because the wait staff was gone or I order something and it just never comes. They’re lucky they’re the only bar in the area.

Yum yum, came by for the first time on a whim and it sure hit the spot, I got pizza and wings the first time and they were so sweet as they acomodated my quirky request. The pizza has generous cheese and toppings, and the wing sauce has a kick, I also had them deliver on the busy memorial day and didn’t wait long, definitely will be ordering again. Just writing this review is making my mouth water, I think I’ll have some tonight.

Well, it happened. Again. We walked out before we could even order water. Because the service here can be so bad. Terrible. Let me set the scene for you – we walk in, and everyone around us is seemingly looking for their/a server. We wait for someone to tell us if we can sit inside or out, and no one acknowledged us. We walk onto the patio, standing among six un-bused tables for someone to acknowledge us, and again nothing. I move inside and wait at the bar to find out about service outside, finally asking the(tallest) bartender of we could get a table bussed out on the patio so we could get a bite to eat. «Sure. Let me get someone.»(I’m thinking; Cool! Yay! We want all the pizza!) A few minutes later he returns, separates two tables that had been pushed together from a former party of 5 or more, and removes a scrap of napkin and an unfinished glass of white wine. He leans over an adjacent table(where people are still eating) and picks up two menus, and drops them on «our» table. He walks away. There were food scraps and spills on this table. He literally sets the menus on top of that stuff, and walks away. Are you kidding me? We look at each other, and other people around us who are clearly feeling the same frustration and annoyance. They shrug. We leave. Yes, their thin crust pizza is good. But not good enough to throw money at an employee who gives zero F’s about customers, and can’t even wipe down a damn table. It was unbelievable. Hands down the worst service we’ve ever had there, and we didn’t even get to order anything! Eek! I’m sorry, sir, but you can’t tell me that you’d be happy with someone doing that to you out at any restaurant, so please don’t do it to your customers – neighbors who frequent your establishment on the regular. I think we are going to have to find a new pizza joint. Because that was pretty unforgettable.

The sauce on their pizza was decent enough but like a lot of other places, the cheese, toppings, seasonings and crust fall short. ‘Im not sure why its a trend to not put at least oregano on top of your pizza, but the cheese at golden crust is definitely its worst aspect. Got to Little Villa instead.

Great place! There are not a lot of straight up bars to hang out in, in the lovely neighborhood of Albany Park, but this is one of them. All the components of a good bar. Lots of beers on tap, a friendly bartender and pizza! Which I did not try, but would definitely come back for. Worth a pop-in if you’re in the area.

so… pizza is great. But the moment that you inform the bartender that there is a rat in the toilet that is actually about to attack there should be more concern, more urgency. Unfortunately every experience we have had here has been lackluster in service, wonderful in the quality of food, but after engaging an actual rodent in the restroom we will never be back. It was so unfortunate that we were actually vomiting outside of the restaurant.

Golden Crust is so hit-or-miss. First, loved them. Then they got every order wrong, so we parted ways for a while. We mended our relationship and we were chomping on Stadiums again… until tonight. What started as a crispy, saucy delight turned into a soapy, nasty mess as I made my way to the edge pieces. Whoever is doing the pans needs to do a better job rinsing.

i eat a lot of pizza here in Chicago and i most say wow this place is so so so good really nice ppl a most go to. The chicken tenders and wings were tasty with the right amount of hot and mild seasonings but the thick crust pizza was too doughy and hardly could taste cheese and toppings.

This place is disgusting. We walked out. I read lots of reviews saying they had horrible customer service but good pizza so I decided to risk it. We walked in when the place was empty and neither of the two servers working would acknowledge my friend or I even after we both said hello to the server walking past us as we entered. The hostess brought us two waters and my friend looked down and noticed a piece of a FRENCHFRY floating in her water! My friend brought the water up to the two women working who were giggling together behind the bar and told them what had happened. BOTH servers were eating French fries!!! If they can’t even bother to keep food from their mouths landing in the water, who knows how careless they are with the pizza. So disgusted.

Found this place randomly, was starving and just moved to the area. Super cheesy pizza and very quick delivery. Also got the breaded veggies, unfortunately all the breading kinda fell off which is my only complaint.

The pizza is good. The service is awful. We first got pizza from this place when we moved into the neighborhood. Actually, a guy who sold us a mattress recommended it, as he lives nearby, too. So we got a couple pies to go for out helpful friends who did a lot of heavy lifting with us on moving day. They were ready on time, hot, and delicious. Then we went to watch a Cubs game, as our TV was not hooked up yet. The pizza was hot and delicious, the beer was cold, and the TVs were on. The waitstaff was ok. Last night we went for another cubs game, and while it was crowded, there was no line out the door, there was no reason for anyone to be panicking, but we could tell that some of the staff were losing their sh*t. First, we walked in. The bartender(who had been our server the other night) grabbed a couple of menus and pointed to a teeny table against a wall. I said«Can we sit on the patio?» She put the menus away and said, «Sure, go ahead.» She Put. The Menus. Away. We figured that someone would bring us a couple, and that it would be fewer than 20 minutes before that happened. WRONG. Several innings later, we were brought menus, several innings later, we were asked if we wanted to order. In the meantime, one waiter was asking people to move tables in anticipation of needing the bigger table for bigger groups. Gee whiz, if you had someone greeting and seating(and handing out menus) you wouldn’t have to be so rude as to ask someone to move where they were sitting. Customers were sharing menus because no one was coming around with any. Two waiters seemed to be panicking while our waitress was playing clean-up to their screw-ups. One guy(maybe a bus boy? he wasn’t dressed like a waiter, that’s for sure.) was carrying orders out and not knowing who they went to. «Did you order this pizza? Did you order this beer?» Seriously? We got our pizza, and it was hot and delicious. I was lucky to get the second beer that I ordered… several innings before. Too bad.

I think I’m finally done with this place. As you can see from my previous review our family has been loyal GC fans for ever!!! easily 23 plus years. Unfortunately the last couple years the service has seriously gotten out of control. I am not sure but seems like the new staff or manager after the upgrade to GC pizza«and TAP» is def the problem. Our family has given GC so much business over the years and to be treated the way I have on 3 previous orders is just a downright slap in the face. 1. and the most important here. Aprox yr ago Order pizza for 7 kids. Pretty simple. XL Thin Crust Cheese and Sausage only. Pizza arrives with all kinds of veggies and call GC asap. The girl at the time(which is the same girl that has given me trouble last 4 orders) proceeds to tell me that the best she could do is give me $ 10 off on my next order wtf? Manager explains the same. «There is a $ 37 order in front of me that 7 kids will not eat because you guys screwed up and now you want me to spend another $ 26+ to correct the problem?» both said yes. Unacceptable. Run to Little caesars pick up a couple to feed the kids asap! This also happened during a bears game last year. 2XLTHINCRUST and sides we’re talking $ 70+ order. pizzas were screwed up somehow and all they could do at the time was give us a measly credit of $ 10 towards our next order. What kind of policy is this? If I order A and you give me B, why should I pay extra to correct this? on that order we tried so hard to get the manager to understand how wrong this was that he just hung up on us. 2. About 4 yrs ago a buddy suggested we have them bake the Crushed pepper into our pizza. Wow was that a good Idea. GC has done this on many occasions for us ever since. It’s only when this girl answers that THIS is not possible. «It’s not how we make our pizza’s sir» «It’s not an ingredient sir» «The cooks wont do it sir» BS this has been done many times before. Charge me extra if you want just make this happen please. «Sorry sir, I can’t» ok Thanks! 3. This has now happened 3 times but most recent last Sunday, XL thin crust deluxe please BUT can you ask the guys i the back to add no toppings to ¼ the pizza? It’s 4 adults and a 6yo that freaks out if there’s anything else on his cheese pizza. «Sorry sir that’s not possible» She tells me that they can do 1⁄3 cheese and how that will be cheaper for me. I tell her that I don’t care what it costs, charge me DELUXE for the whole pizza and just make ¼ or few end slices JUSTCHEESE. «Sorry sir our system doesn’t work that way» It got me thinking that maybe there is only the option of 1⁄3 in the computer so I ask her If she could kindly go ask the guys in the back, as they are loading pizza with toppings, to not add toppings to the end of it, aprox 3 slices. «Sorry sir that isn’t possible» HOWTHEHELLISTHATNOTPOSSIBLE? once again this has been done in the past but getting her to understand that is not happening. This girl can not think outside the box to help a loyal customer of over 20 years now. She had no answer for me. So once again In my usual fear of servers/cooks spitting in my food, I declined to escalate this. Besides my previous run ins with managers there has gotten me no where. This sucks so much because the truth is, we love the pizza. The problem for GC(although it seems they don’t care) is that my extended family has also had couple similar issues. We spend $thousands$ a year at this place! One month alone we did the math and added up over $ 700 worth of orders! From the worst policy of correcting or compensating customers for incorrect orders to that Robot on the phone that can’t handle a simple request WEAREDONE.

I always said a lot of good things about this place. I just tried ordering a pizza over the phone and whoever answered was a complete a******. I am just surprised at the customer service from this place. I wanted to have a pizza ready so when I got there I would not have to wait 30 minutes. This person did not care at all. I let them know that I was very hungry and I just wanted to have my food ready. I asked what kind of pizzas they had and all he wanted to tell me was thin and thick pizza. I told him ok I guess I won’t eat there and he said ok and hung up they don’t care that they lose customers apprently.

Went in on a Thursday to catch the second half of the football game and the place was at quarter capacity; not busy at all. No one greeted me at the door so I sat down. After a few minutes all no service. Walked up and grabbed my own menus and said hello to the waitress. She comes by and takes the order of the table next to me. No service. She comes by and drops off the check for the table opposite me. Still no service. So I left. And every friggin table is wobbly. As for the food I’m sure it’s alright. Who knows?

We have been coming to this place for years. Food is decent. An hour for delivery. Nice dining-in since they remodeled. Family friendly and fun for sporting events. We went there on a BEAUTIFUL Sunday afternoon at 1pm and wanted to sit outside, but the patio was closed! Why??? Terrible. Went elsewhere.

Disclosure: It helps If you know the paul Vitti calls Primo scene in the movie Analyze this. Oh damn! Im having lots of feelings about this… Im feeling very mad, very angry, in fact im feeling outraged. I need to get some closure on this. Golden Crust(GC) was a very trusted go to place for me when I lived in Albany Park. I am usually quite picky about my pizza but this place had rock solid food. In fact I ordered pizza here so many times they knew me by name. Unfortunately I moved out of the neighborhood and had not been there for quite some time. So with a couple of friends we decide to pay GC a visit to watch the Bears game, you know that game we allow 50 something points to Green Bay. This might be a couple months behind but I remember It vividly! What an aweful night! The Pizza was horrendous, the cheese tasted old and rubbery and was falling off the Pizza. The Cheese Sticks we had for for appetizers were terribly overcooked or overheated, I had one and didnt want any more, when did that ever happen?! Did fricken Primo cook this food? For a drink I ordered a Cider and they brought me a beer and to top it all off the Bears allowed 50 plus points and got their ass handed to them. Now the Bears disaster was not their fault but I couldnt even take comfort in the knowing the food was there for me… Everything that night was a disaster… I was really angry and wanted to chop their balls off and shove it up their f*#%in asses, i wanted to bury them, wanted to stick ice picks in their eyeballs and send it to them for desert! How was that? After writing this review and imagining shooting their pizza about a dozen times i just want to say«there’s your f*#%in pizza! Now that I have closure they get 2 stars because I know they can do better…

It was a cold, rainy day, and my fiancé and myself were starving. We did not want to cook but had a craving for pizza. Instead of going to the local Pizza Hut, we decided to try someplace local and have it delivered. The ordering process was straight forward, but you could tell they were busy. The person on the phone was a bit short with me but nothing rude. She did not give an estimated delivery time, but I used my typical 1 hour time window for delivery. One thing I do have to say is that Golden Crust is somewhat pricey. Their base price is very reasonable but toppings are very expensive. For a salad, garlic bread, and 16-in. pizza, we paid around $ 30 before delivery. The food was delivered in about a hour fresh and hot. In my opinion, the pizza needed a bit more sauce, but my fiancé loved it. The crust was absolutely perfect — golden and crisp. The toppings were also plentiful and fresh. We will definitely keep Golden Crust in our roster.
