My husband and I love coming here for date night. The shared plates are phenomenal and the pizza is outstanding!!! I love all the wines they offer too! My only complaint is the number of tv’s, makes it feel more sports bar-ish, but they’re usually playing old movies, which is fun.

I live near Irving and Damen. Angelo’s left menus for everyone in the neighborhood, but on their porch steps rather than mail bins. I’m guessing the canvaser was too stuffed full of calzones to climb the steps. They were scattered in yards and the streets for days. Hey Angelo’s? Want to make it right? Start or join a group to pick up litter, or tell your canvassers to leave a street better than they found it.

Went here this past week to meet up some friends for dinner. They were pretty busy on a weekday but only had one server, one manager, and one bartender serving the entire restaurant. ATMOSTPHERE: The vibe and fixtures in the space are fantastic and really attract customers walking around the Albany Park neighborhood. FOOD and DRINK: I had an iced tea, which didn’t taste like Iced Tea. It was almost passed off as their own concoction or version of an Iced Tea, but it wasn’t communicated to me. Such a disappointment. We started with the goat cheese on grilled bread topped with pesto sauce. The bread and pesto sauce stood fine w/o the goat cheese. The red sauce in the goat cheese seemed off, could be a consistency/texture factor. Now you’re probably asking about the PIZZA… Mediocre at best. The waiter prided himself in suggesting this is one of the best pizzas he has ever eaten, so I was open minded. This is in NO way close to the greatest pizza! The pizza’s style is Chicago thin crust. But the sauce was sub-par and the cheese didn’t stay in place on the pizza; some melted gob not sticking to the pizza. Angelo’s looks like a nice neighborhood gem, but the product and service need to step up in order for me to return.

Angelo’s did an amazing job renovating and reinventing the restaurant concept. They still have their normal delivery menu; but if you dine in its small plate Italian and gourmet pizzas. Everything I’ve tried is fantastic, but I can’t go without having the bruschetta. The space has great ambiance and the staff is really attentive with good knowledge of the food, craft cocktails and extensive wine and beer options. They definitely have created a more upscale lounge setting. Good for date night or a night out with friends.

The thrill is gone. Since reincarnating as an eat-in wine bar, the old delivery menu service has taken a downturn. Things change — I’ve heard the wine bar is pretty good, but the«old school» Italian/Mexican kooky-but-it-worked huge delivery menu just isn’t what it used to be. Sigh…

Never again… Food came in almost ½ an hour late from what was promised. Containers came in all cracked up and squished.(Not gonna even give any praises regarding the food) Worst of all, after giving card info over the phone, delivery guy arrives(very apologetic btw, and the only satisfactory part of the experience) asking for cash payment. He gets the supervisor on the phone, who rudely asked for my card # like it was my fault that the card info was no where to be found while I were trying to investigate how that even happened in the first place. Manager suddenly steps in the conversation and explains what happened while I tell him the delivery guys phone is about to die. So I called him back and after giving card info, he delivers a very dry apology and gets me off the phone. No attempt was even made to show any sincerity at all. I am normally a brush-my-shoulders, eh. shit happens kinda guy, but this was just so unsatisfactory that I am taking my time to write this review to give me at least a little satisfaction after being on the receiving end of the kind of shitty service you wouldn’t wish upon anyone else. I strongly believe I’m not alone and there are others yet to come. Therefore, never again…

Angelo’s has had a massive remodel this summer and changed its image completely. It is not an order and pick up place anymore. It is an extremely classy, nice, and modern sit down restaurant with a wrap around bar. They have a pretty decent beer selection and the pizza is much better. This place is great when the weather is warm, as they have collapsible walls that open all around the front of the restaurant. This place is a great hang out, great drinks, and pretty good food. The place is going to wow you but it certainly will not disappoint you.

I have been ording from Angelo’s since 1996 the BBQ Chicken WAS to die for! Simply amazing best by far. I also frequently order the pizza which is also amazing! My husband wanted to bring me and my coworkers lunch and went to get outlr favorite BBQ Chicken last week, it was very disappointing firt the chicken was cut all wrong the the recope was completely different down to the breading they used, Bbq sauce is awful this made me really sad, why mess with perfection? I called Al the owner right away to find out what happened? He told me the changed the menu and got a new chef ugh. I ordered pizza today it tasted a little different, but is still really good. I would highly recommend bringing old Bbq chicken recipe back asap.

I had never been to the old place, but the new place is great. Great beer selection on tap, and they have a secretly awesome beer in bottles that I won’t disclose here. The in-house menu is fantastic, great beet salad. I get it every time. The pizzas are dynamite — truly artisan creations. I highly recommend the Quattro Formaggi. Great whiskey menu as well, from a distillery in Park City. Haven’t dove into it yet but I plan to. Friendly ownership, friendly staff, local, what else does one need?

What the hell happened, Angelo’s? Where is the baked potato option in lieu of the(cold) french fries with entrees? Where is the cole slaw? What happened to the soup or salad choice? Where is the«cajun» flavor in your(literally) tasteless cajun-battered chicken? Why didn’t you actually cook the jumbo shrimp? If this was the first time we ordered from Angelo’s, I’d brush it off as just another in a long line of poorly-run restaurants on the North Side. But fuck, man, Angelo’s has been our go-to delivery option on Sunday for years. The sting comes more from knowing that this place used to be so much better than from biting into a raw fried shrimp. Seeing the new menu stuffed in our gate should have been the indicator that changes are afoot there.(Why the need for such unnecessary promotion?) Whereas specials were a big part of the menu before, they are clearly being phased out as some sort of cost-cutting measure, I’m sure. I hate throwing food away, but I’m physically ill at the thought of heating that shit up for lunch tomorrow. Get your act together, Angelo’s. You had a high-quality product(with terrific specials) once so you can do it again.

My Family has been ordering for delivery from Angelo’s for over 35 years. I’m not sure if it is still under the same ownership these days… But I just Love That Pizza! I just ordered a 16″ Thin Sausage Pizza with Extra Sauce and it was Awesome. And they don’t even charge for Extra Sauce. Delivery was Hot and Fast. Other Joints in Competition such as Marie’s, La Villa, Martino’s are not even in the same ball park. They are all High Priced and Skimmpy on the Ingredients. You get a Free Liter of Pop with your order. I must get in to the Newly Renovated Dinning Space… I Hear Great thing about it. They are supposed to have a great Selection of Beers and also serve Mexican Fare! Yum! Plus they are open to 2am on Fri/Sat… So if you have not tried Angelo’s Pizza you must do so! I will Remain a Loyal Customer for 30 more years! Bravo Angelo’s!

I drove past this place yesterday and made a point to stop in today to try it out. Boy, I’m sure glad I did because this place is a hidden gem for sure! From the beautiful décor to the amazing menu, you will not be disappointed. The host and server were quite friendly and made us feel so welcome upon entering. We tried the spinach caesar salad first. It came with just the right amount of dressing and the tomatoes and red onions added a nice kick. The Angelo pizza came next and it was cooked just right — all the ingredients made a perfect combination with the wonderfully crispy crust. I cannot wait to go back — this place is fantastic!

I’ve been to Angelo’s three times since it re-opened in July and it is excellent! I loved hearing from the owner and managers about the care that went into picking every detail of the new space including some beautiful reclaimed barn wood on the walls throughout the restaurant. While the atmosphere is great, Angelo’s really shines when it comes to their food and beverage. They have great list of craft beer and global wines(affordably priced) and also make a mean cocktail. I learned on my last visit they even have special ice cubes(crystal clear perfect squares) made specifically for their rocks glasses which just adds to the experience of being there. Lance, the sommelier, is incredibly helpful with pairings and has a great sense of humor as well. And the food… The Burrata Margherita pizza is my absolute favorite item on the menu, but one can do no wrong. The meatballs are incredible, the smoked tomato risotto is among the best I’ve had anywhere in the city, and I also love the grilled octopus. I’ve tried other pizzas and menu items too and all have been great. While I’m not typically a dessert person, they treated our table to the lemon tiramisu during a friend’s birthday dinner, and it was incredible. I don’t remember the name, but it was paired with a dessert wine and the combination was out of this world. The servers also work well as a team and are very attentive and friendly. All in all, Angelo’s combines a comfortable neighborhood vibe with incredible food and service. Highly recommend.

Check out the new revamped Angelo’s Pizza, Pasta, Wine! The new remodeled space is beautiful and a great addition to the neighborhood. The food is fantastic, great salads, creative pizzas, awesome pasta dishes, etc. they have wine cooled and on tap, with a great beer and cocktail list. I love having this place in the neighborhood!

I really enjoy the pizza, only thing is the cheese comes off when you bite into it– so its a bit chewy and thick. It does taste wonderful though and the toppings seem really fresh. I got zucchini and garlic– YUM! Unfortunately. They have a long delivery time. No matter if its pizza or soup its 45 minutes to 1 hour– and the last 2 times I ordered from them it was 1 hour and 10 minutes which is really disgusting, especially since the fact that the times I ordered were NOT peak times. So for now I will stop ordering from Angelo’s since they can’t even keep a a BAD promise. Oh– and I have to call them each time to find out status.

Last night, I attempted to place an order with Angelo’s Pizza for delivery. We have ordered from Angelo’s on a regular basis(at least a couple of time each month) for about 10 years until they changed their buy 2 get 1 free meals special. It is now buy 3 get 1 free. I have not ordered from then since the summer of 2014. Looking to try them again after some 10 months, we attempted to order an 18″ Angelo’s Special. According to the home page of their website which we had just clicked on, there was a coupon for either free 6 pack of pop or domestic beer. After providing all my information and completing the order, I asked for the free 6 pack of beer. The lady who took the order told me that the promotion was no longer in effect. I mentioned to her that their website which I had in front of me on the computer had the coupon live on it’s website and there were no expiration dates. She repeated that they reserve the right to change pricing without notice. I repeated that this coupon was live on their website and that this was phony advertising. If it is on your website which is the official website of your business, you should either honor it or take it off. It did not matter. You would think the business as a courtesy would honor it for a customer that had ordered from them countless times over 10 years and then inform me the promotion had ended. I cancelled my order and informed her that I will never do business with them again and hung up. Now some other area restaurants will gain more of my business. 5÷6÷2015: Update. As of today at 7:20 pm, this offer still appears on their home page. 7÷1÷2015: Update. As of today at 4:20 pm, this offer still appears on their home page.

Good thin-crust and surprisingly good deep dish. Their prices are very fair. This has been our go to pizza place for 3 years and I’ve only gotten one bad/burnt pizza. The rib dinner, Italian beef, wings, and salads are good too. The staff is very friendly and I’ve always had good service. Really looking forward to their remodeled interior!
