Eat Here!!! A Little Expensive But That’s Because Of The Top Products Used. Get Over It. This Place Is Awesome. Great Burgers And Probably The Best Fries On The Southside. The Ditka Dog Would Make Da Coach Proud. On Occasion I Tried The Pizza And They Even Do That Right. Good Crowd And One Of The Coolest Owners Of An Establishment I’ve Ever Had The Pleasure Of Meeting. This Places Is Aces You Won’t Be Disappointed.

Overpriced and inconsistent. Service drags on and they seem to be out of ribs a lot. It’s supposed to be fast food so what’s the problem. There are too many choices within a 5 minute drive to put up with this.

Can’t say enough good things about this place the hot dogs are right up there with the best in the city,(gene & dudes, jimmys, portillos and so on) the brats are amazing. The gourmet burgers are amazing, great barbecue nothing bad to say here, if you think this is just another run of the mill fast food stand your missing out

the food is delcious, I nver have food over there that is bad, over or undercooked. the only downside is the wait for the food, but I do believe the wait more than makes up for the delicious food they make.

You get what you pay for little pricey but good I’ll go again people that think this is expensive are just cheap. the guy needs to make a dollar too. I got the bacon cheese burger fries it was good. Owner Dan was very nice I’m handicapped and he assisted me to my seat. I’ll go here before barracos hands down.

Great spot. One of the best cheeseburgers I’ve had since reds was put out of business by the former aldercrook and the BAPA clowns to build the new BAC that’s been in foreclosure twice… I digress back to the food. Burgers are the bright spot, dogs are great, fresh cut fries, root beer floats, all tops. I cannot say enough good about this spot.

I really try to support local businesses, but I just can’t go to Fat Tommy’s with Pop’s being a few blocks away. Fat Tommy’s is very expensive and their food is just okay. I have really tried to like their food, but I just can’t.

I really like this place. They offer some really good food. Like pork chops and burgers. They have trivia Tuesday’s. I’ve only gone a couple of times but everyone is super nice. One night, they were celebrating a birthday and it happened to be my birthday, so when my friend pointed it out, they all started singing to me too! Check them out. And grab a bottle of one of their wonderful import beers.

Might I just say… Mmm! That IS a tasty burger! Dan, the owner makes wonderful hot dogs/buyers/pork/chicken/Italian beef. Everything is great. The best part is he is willing to personalize anything and even make recommendations if needed. I just can’t get tired of the friendly service and great atmosphere.

Average food at a high price. Fast food at a slow pace. If you are looking for a quick bite visit somewhere else.

BEST chargrilled chicken sandwich ever! Giardiniera puts it over the top. Love the fries and kids are crazy about the dogs. Friendly service and family atmosphere :)

Real Vienna beef hot dogs. Freshly cut homemade french fries. Solid service. Great option for greasy but delicious food. In a city with many famous hot dog spots, fat Tommie’s manages to stand out.

How can a hot dog be tastier at one locale than another? I don’t know, but that’s what Fat Tommys dogs are – tasty. I’m not one of those wackos who puts five pounds of vegetables on my dog – mustard is all I ask for – so I can really taste the meat, and it is damn good. You need to go here. It’s better than any of the much ballyhooed hot dog stands up north(like the Wiener Circle) and pretty much the best thing I have had outside of Fat Johnny’s.

Well if your lunch break is only 30 min long I would not recommend this place. Somehow it takes 20 min to cook a hotdog. Also, who the hell charges for a fountain drink refill. And what kind of low life charges an entire dollar for a fountain refill? They really try to shake every penny out of your pocket here. Hot dog was decent dog. Nothing memorable except for the amount of celery salt that was on it. Was way too much. Fries were real good. Overall average experience. I would expect this place to be in Skokie with how they try to shake your pennies out of your pocket. Fuck this place is basically all I can say. Overhyped average dogs.

First time there. I pulled up at 5 min before closing time and was waved in by the owner who was standing in the window. Couple of hot dogs for my boy, nice crisp snap on them, hand cut french fries, steak sandwich for myself. The meat was grilled perfectly and served with carmelized sweet onions and W sauce on the side and served on toasted garlic bread. There is nothing I would have done differently. Wide selection of beers and a very knowledgeable, friendly staff that makes you feel at home. Good prices. There are places that you can tell that are passionate about their product; this is one of them. Ask the owner how something is made, like something off the new smoked menu, and you’re in for a great conversation. It’s going to be a regular spot for me. Woohoo! As good as it gets!

Fresh salads, all beef dogs, milk shakes made the old school way, home-cut fries(big enough to split a basket if you dine in) and a great, personable, funny staff. If you have to wait it is because everything is made fresh and to-order. You can play checkers, read a book from their selection, watch TV, read one of the free papers they offer or snag a Chicago Reader to kill time while you wait. Beer on tap or by the bottle(nice variety for a neighborhood spot) and patio(aka beer garden) out back. SO much more than hot dogs, although a great dog is nothing to sneeze at. Air conditioning a bonus in the heat. Their cajun chicken breast added to a salad is choice. SO lean. A fun place to swing by, but they also do carry out. If you pay it a little more, it is for quality food and generous portions from great people. I enjoy supporting the local small businesses. Well worth it in my view. Ya want cheap and fast, there’s no shortage of disappointing hot-dog dumps in the area. I’ll pass and stick with these folks. Try«Fat Tommy’s»…you’ll like it!

After passing this place many times and seeing decent reviews, thought I would give a try. So I gave it my hot dog test, basing a place on it’s hot dogs. The first thing that is good is that place is clean and cozy, the people running the place are very funny and nice. Like some of the other reviews said, the food is over priced and it takes forever to get your order served to you. The bun was cold and not steamed and no poppy seeds. The hand cut fries, which I love, were a bit over cooked. But the worst thing was that the relish on the hot dog was so sweet it over powered the taste of the dog itself. So every bite all you tasted was the relish. So I will continue to search the perfect hot dog stand.
