If you’re a little too drunk on random Friday night, I suggest Estelles. The people watching is pretty awesome(this place draws a very unique crowd from heavy metal dudes to yuppies to older folks), the beers are cheap, and lots of people to chat with. Overall, very solid.

Come for some late night drinking. Stay for a random movie on Netflix. Estelle’s has been one of my new go to spots as of late. It’s pretty much the opposite of other bars in the area. There’s more of a laid back vibe and not douchey. They’ve got pretty decent beers on draught and the food is pretty solid. The kitchen(aka the grill behind the bar) is open pretty late. That’s great when’s there’s not many food options after 2 am. Estelle’s usually has a few Half Acre options when it comes to beer which is a big plus for me. They don’t have a giant selection of beer, but what they do have is pretty decent. Along with Half Acre expect Lagunitas, Three Floyd’s, Bell’s, etc. One of my favorite things about this place is the entertainment. By that I mean employees use their Netflix accounts to watch movies. I think it’s great that I can watch Pulp Fiction at 2 am in a bar with a delicious beer and a burger. The movies range from Training Day to Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! A real classy establishment.

The worst experience. Really. As a service professional, I am super understanding of many situations. The staff catered to a party of six, clear friends of the staff, and kicked our party of fifteen or more off of the table to accommodate their six friends, leaving us to squeeze around one tiny table. We were there for a going away for a friend, There to spend money and to act appropriately. They treated us very badly. Giving free shots to their six friends taking up two tables and kicking us off of one of them to accommodate them. Highly inappropriate, And bad business sense. They threatened to throw all fifteen of us out as well. Security was on board with this behavior. We were all people that were there to spend money and were treated very badly. The group that was accommodated had six budweisers, and free shots by staff. We had food and drinks for all 15 of us. I hope that their attention to what was clearly their friends proceeds the industry people that will think twice about going there. I know that I Will personally not recommend estelles ever again.

One of my favorite low-key places in the city. Great vibe, delicious snacks and drinks! Great for couples/groups who are a mix of beer-lovers and cocktail drinkers, nice selection for everyone. I will miss it when we move out of the area.

Went all the way down there for loaded fries and cocktails– the loaded fries were not worth the price or trip. :(-

Estelle’s is probably my favorite of the many bars I checked out during my recent visit to Chicago. Beers are cheap, servers are friendly, and the jukebox is top-notch. Punk, indie, metal, soul, oldies, good jams all around. Hipstery dive bar in Wicker Park that isn’t pretentious or snooty. I’ll definitely be hitting it up on my next trip.

This is a decent bar for a night out. The crowd doesn’t pick up until later. The atmosphere is very relaxed yet energetic. The service is timely yet the staff aren’t very friendly. Overall decent bar but nothing to write home about.

Great specials, amazing workers. Special shoutout to Rachel, she asked what we were into and totally hooked us up with exactly what we wanted. Will definitely be back. Ask for Rachel, for sure.

It’s extremely difficult not to rate your neighborhood bar a 4 or 5. It’s where you go to escape. It’s your safe haven from annoying co-workers and bitching roommates. It’s your secret flask when you end up at some snobbish wine tasting with elitist yuppie fucks. It’s almost certain that you give«your» bar the praise it deserves. Estelle’s, for me, is just like that, a hidden, tucked away, little container of alcohol that no one sees me drinking in an ally while I run off for a smoke.

The burgers here are some of the best around – the only real reason I will go back. Way better than traditional bar food. Bartender was not very friendly(all 3 times I have gone) — beer is expensive(unless on Tuesday).True come as you are dive bar.

FANTASTIC burgers. I recently ordered the Point Break Burger, and it did not disappoint. Good beer list as well. Good service, too. Overall awesome dive bar.

Unfortunately your team doesn’t know Illinois law and turned away a group of 25 people at 630pm Friday 28th of August. The«bartender» said that an Australian government ID wasn’t sufficient ID and that an Australian passport isn’t legal ID. she also rejected an American passport cause she«didn’t know whether it was legal». Please retrain or educate your staff on Illinois law. Not only that she preceded to argue with the group about her terrible interpretation of the law … She clearly didn’t want to be at work and is a terrible representation of your company. I come down to estelles 3 – 4 times a week with my workplace. Normally 5 – 25 people in our group. Never again

I really do love this place. The loaded fries are a must. Their burgers are also great! What keeps me coming back here is the atmosphere and 2 dollar draft tuesdays. The only downside to Estelle’s is the two bathrooms. I love this place!

This place is definitely a dive bar. I went here on a Friday night with some buddies because it had a one $ sign on Unilocal.Apparently that one $ sign only applies Mon-Thurs. I ordered a draft Gumbalhead IPA which was $ 7. And after $ 1 tip(because you don’t want to be a fucking cheapskate) it’s now $ 8. My buddy ordered a shot of whiskey and a cocktail and it was $ 15 bucks… oh and he didn’t tip because he is a fucking cheapskate. Oh, and the place is kinda dirty. I saw the cook use his shirt to wipe some crap off his teeth. I did not eat the food, but I hope you understand.

Love Estelle’s, love their beer selection, love their music. Thanks for having three floyd’s zombie dust on tap… Seems like most places we go these days«just ran out» of it. The bartenders are super chill and offered to let me try a few of their favorite beers to decide what to order. Would like to come back and try some food from here cause I hear the burgers are good. The crowd is very diverse and laid back and everyone is enjoying themselves. And they’re open late so you can pretty much drink all night long.

Great 4am spot if you find yourself in the thick of six-corners after you finish a show at Subterranean or one of the 2am bars kick your sorry self out. They play decent oldies music and the staff is attentive. I’ve never had the food, but I’m sure my stomach wouldn’t object to it.

Good place to go if you’re still looking to drink after most the other bars close(this place gets crowded quick after 2 am). Drink prices are fair, food is good(for bar food), and waitresses are friendly.

At first glance I thought it was like the subterranean or double door but it’s actually a punk rocky dive bar. The drinks are pretty cheap($ 2 beer Tuesdays) and one time I left my wallet on the counter after leaving the bar and they held onto it and wouldn’t let me give them money or tip them for saving it! They are so nice.

They were playing Vanilla Sky and the Birdcage on their little bar TV of the few times I went there. Always good movies on. I don’t know who’s manning the DVD or BluRay player but they doing a great job. Notice I said little bar TV; you ain’t gone showered in the bright flickering glow of 18 million bro-bar-esque 52-inch plasmas. Cozy. Low ceiling. Nice dive-bar lighting without the smell of cigarette-soaked pleather walls of an actual dive bar. Estelles is an evolved dive bar. They have some booths up front which are pretty nice for larger parties. They also have some more intimate seating in the back; but there’s kind kid a lot of foot traffic that way thanks to the bathrooms being in the back as well. This is a late-night bar so its a great place to start and end the night. Although to be honest I don’t really know where else your going in the hood, this is one of the last few great bars in the hood; not the only, I didn’t say only, I said it’s among the greats still left in Wicker. The food is decent. I got fries once, they was good. I don’t know, it’s bar food. Private pooper. Nice place to pop in and unload. Stretch those legs out. The graffiti is kinda funny.

My favorite bar thus far that I’ve been to since moving to the neighborhood. Granted, we haven’t even scratched the surface. But there’s no pretension here. Pretty regular people come through here. And it’s open until 5:00am on Saturdays? Mainly I like the $ 2 and $ 3 drafts on Tuesdays and great food specials on weekdays. While I could do without the TVs, it normally is playing something non-sports related which is a nice change given the ‘bro’ demographic much of the other Bucktown and WP bars(I see you Division Street) tend to attract. They also usually have one of Gumballhead or Zombie Dust, but not always. Still though, that’s killer.
