Underdog

As my friends and I are staying nearby for the weekend, we decided to order delivery from here. When placing our order, we were told it would be 45 minutes until our food arrived. After an hour and fifteen minutes, we called to check on the order. At this point, it was relayed to us that our order had been canceled because the delivery driver «will not go out in the rain». We were not given any phone call to inform of us such decision but were made to wait for the food that was never going to arrive.
The absolute worst delivery service I have ever dealt with. The food may be good, but the only way to know for sure is to actually visit the store. I would never recommend ordering delivery from this place.
As a child, Underdog was one of my favorite cartoons. As an adult, it is one of my least favorite restaurants.

Turn off your Grubhub service when your not open idiots

Awesome place for late night munchies. Cheap prices for dogs and burgers. Service was super fast and small dining area. Fries were a bit salty but great place to stop by.

Bad service. Took forever to get food. Food was pretty good. Not ground breaking. The environment was awful.

There was such a big build up for this place. We got the Underdog and the polish. It was eeehh. I mean they had all of the ingredients but it wasn’t anything amazing. Cash only by the way! They are in a good location but I wouldn’t come back here.

$ 4, Overpriced, rubbery, hotdog. Being the only customer there, I waited for over 5 minutes for them to give me a soggy dog bun that fell apart after the first bite. Not to mention, they were blasting rap louder than you would hear in a busy bar. Why? I would never ever eat the again. Underdog is named as such for a reason.

Vegan mexican hot dogs and for cheap! Good cheap food open practically all night. Just be aware that this is drunk food and if you go in after 11 or so everyone in the place will be smashed

Not a bad place for a quick bite. Right off the Damen Blue line, which is pretty convenient, and late hours for the bar crowd. I ordered one of their Mexi-​Dogs, the Panchito, which is basically a taco/​hot dog combo. I enjoyed it, and it was very reasonable priced. I would come again.

Adequate place for cheap dogs. Not the best in Chicago, but fine for a late night.

I just can’t stop going to this place. The food is delicious especially this hot dog with steak is the killer definetly a cool place to get a bite!!!

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have any reviews yet… unless it’s brand new I would have thought this place would be pretty busy on fri /​sat nights after a night out in wicker park!
Anyway I didn’t come after a boozy night out, I was in the area and wanted a quick bite where I could stay inside for a bit from the rain. Happened to walk past this unassuming place and spy the sign. It’s just a door right next to flash tacos and goes downstairs into the basement.
It’s very clean and a nice little setup for a cheap hotdog /​burger joint. There are only 3 tables of 4 so I expect it’s more of a take away joint. I was the only one in there but I got my meal quick and fast.
Although I’m a glutard and shouldn’t be eating gluten, I can’t pass up a Chicago dog. They have their version called the under dog which is the same but you can choose to have it boiled or charred and you can also add cheese. A Chicago dog and fries for $ 3.25 incl tax… you can’t do much better than that!
They also have a bunch of mexi dogs which look like they have interesting combinations as well as burgers and different fries.
If you’re up for a cheap snack this place is a good option!

This place bites! I can’t believe they opened a «restaurant» on top of another failing «restaurant»! Both Underdog AND Flash taco have ROACHES, terrible food, OK service, the owner is always around trying make thing «better». Better close this place down and let someone with real restaurant experience open up shop.
If I could, I would give this place a ZERO

The best hot dog in Chicago… Or anywhere! One of a kind Mexican Dogs and Classic Chicago Style dogs! This place is epic!
