Ignore the reviews before 2014 I guess. It’s an athletic shoe store, run by the same owner as City Sports next door. It’s a big space and they have a large selection of the all the major brands. There were winning with the Nike selection too — they had 3 sections with 50% off items, one table where all the shoes(mostly Asics) were $ 30 flat, and the rest of the store was 20% off. I took my time indeed and racked up on some Nike kicks and workout gear… From the 50% off section of course! so I was quite happy with my experience. I was in there for a long time and only a handful of other customers popped in so I had all of the attention I needed. The guy, Dan I think, was nice. He doesn’t know anything about shoes, running, cross training, etc. so if you have questions about which shoe is better for xyz, go somewhere else first or Google it. I didn’t need that help so it was fine. The return policy is something like exchange only within 7 days so make sure you’re sure before you purchase.

My new favorite athletic shoe store, I will only buy my shoes here! So much variety, the best prices, and very friendly customer service. It’s open 11 – 6 but the owner will come open it with an hours notice!

Horrible customer service. The MANAGER is extremely RUDE and DISCRIMINATORY. I came in the store to see if they had a knee brace, and the manager then came around the counter and told me I am injured because I am too fat. I guess this place used to be a clothing store, now its a running store and I’m not sure how they are staying in business, maybe its some strange front operation. if not I’m sure they won’t be in business too much longer, the store is always empty and service sucks

Definitely an awesome place to shop! If you happen to be around you should stop by and check it out. The staff is super helpful and are quick to help you with any questions you have. I just feel this place isn’t getting as many costumers as it should, so if you’re shopping for clothes and you happen to be around, go in and give the store a shot! :-) Great shoe and clothes selection.

cool kids only. I stumbled upon this place while on my way to the Aldo Outlet Shop. Not gon’ lie… I was hesitant to walk in to this place… I walked in and found Diesel, Puma, R&R, urban, fresh, shoes, bags, clothing, watches — like all the reviews say, items that the other retailers are not carrying. I purchased a pair of Diesel flats within seconds of walking through the door.(the lady offered me a deeeeecent price!)

I’m not sorry, what are these reviewers talking about? In my experience, the total collection of wares is flossy urban wannabe, with spotty finds in between. My dear gay boy friend was looking for a non-pretentious pair of shoes and made the begrudged decision to buy an artful Royal Elastics slip-on. The male bespectacled sales mary made it obvious that we were bothering him(in an empty store), huffing and rolling his eyes and avoiding polite eye contact the whole time he was running out shoes for my friend to try on. One pair of which, he brought out the wrong shoe in the right size. You’re allowed to be a dick when your working at Gucci, but this«espace» or «eSpace.» No thank yous, no smiles– even, after all his«trouble,» we actually bought something. Cheer up Charlie, it’s just retail. Welcome to the rest of your life. On the plus, the colored banged woman working there was pleasant enough, but get off your cell phone and take over when your co-worker is clearly«overwhelmed.» I say, lose the ‘tude before your try-hard store closes just like the other goofy failed enterprises on Division. Go down the street to St. Alfreds for shoes, where the dudes appreciate your business.

I bought a nice pair of Red Wing shoes and a pair of jeans. Watch for the sales here. you can get some good stuff. Use cash and you might get a better deal! «Oh Espace, how you…» Did I ever tell you how I hate reviews that try to be funny starting out that way.

Great space and very artistic displays. You can tell that they put a lot of time and thought into every single piece they carry. You’ll find a lot of hand-selected and hard to find labels. Definitely one of the better Wicker Park/Bucktown boutiques.

I’m a big fan of family/personally owned businesses, and this is one of the best in Chicago, and I’d say THE best for fashion. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They hand pick everything the store carries, so you’ll always be sure to not only find great brands and items that you won’t see elsewhere, but they’re always willing to give you all the info on that brand that they know. I bought a pair of shoes here after receiving a 5 minute briefing on the brand history, the wonderful design of the shoe, and tried on 5 pairs of that brand. All this info came from a male, even, so if you do go there, be sure to talk up the people working — don’t assume that they won’t be helpful. They also have good sales at the change of every season. I also got a coupon a couple times for $ 10 off next visit. Great way to keep me coming back! :)

yesss!!! finally a cool new retail store in this neck of the woods on the corner of Milwaukee and Ashland Ave. fun, stupid fresh kicks for dudes and ladies that you won’t see on everyone and their mother. a plethora of denim, tees, and other stylish urban shoes that are priced either fairly or reasonable. i left with 2 pairs of pumas and a cool track jacket and am very happy with my purchases. owner drew, is a nice guy too and will give you a thank you discount coupon if he sees that you are a loyal customer.
