I’ve known Ted since 2005 and he is not only an amazing trainer/coach but more importantly an amazing person. I am constantly telling people that they need to meet Ted. He is one of the smartest, funniest, and nicest guys I have ever known. EVERYONE loves this guy. As for his coaching, he is remarkable. His insight on what you need to do to improve your health is second to none. I’ve been to many seminars with Ted and I know he is an avid reader within his field keeping up with the latest research with a purpose to hone his craft.

I can’t say enough great things about Ted Carlson. He’s a fantastic motivator and has helped me figure out some key areas to focus on both in terms of nutrition and exercise that have really turned things around for me. His focus on the Charles Poliquin workout and nutrition methods are different from many trainers, but I’ve come to understand much of what’s behind those methods through plenty of conversations and sessions with him. He has an excellent command of explaining complex nutrition and fitness info which has done wonders for helping me put all the pieces together to work towards achieving my goals. Above all, Ted’s continued enthusiasm for my own progress is no doubt representative of what he gives to everyone he trains. Nothing makes you feel better than having a trainer who is really rooting for you, and shares a sense of pride in what you’re achieving.

Ted Carlson is a mad scientist of strength training who knows how to make every muscle in your body scream, especially the smaller, non-mirror muscles that you tend not to think about. He inflicts pain, and I mean that as a compliment. After all, since when is exercise for coasting? He will show you a workout with a three pound dumbbell, and you will think, easy, I got this. And then it will hurt, and you will realize that you have never worked out that targeted muscle before in your life. I highly recommend training with Ted, especially if you are an MMA or BJJ athlete. He also trains in BJJ and will be able to tailor a plan that fits your functional needs.
