Update… docked this place now to 1 star because they closed down this location which is closest to my APT. I guess I should point out that I am more-so rating Einstein’s as a whole, considering it was THEIR idea to shut down this location, regardless of the fact that it was always busy. I guess people that own these medium sized companies within our lovely fast food industry are moronic and posses a sub-par level of intelligence. Hail fast food industry, this one if full of disgrace! May your pissed off former customers go thee to Dunkin Donuts!

Eggs made in the microwave? For the same price I can go to corner bakery and have them made the right way. Otherwise the place is fine but the food prep is very fast food.

I would think a bagel place would understand what the word toasted meant… Toasted means toasted, not slightly warmed in a microwave.

Absolutely my favorite bagel place. Super friendly service and a quiet atmosphere. It’s great to come here for a quick breakfast or lunch. It’s PERFECT because it’s right off the diversey stop.

So a coffee/bagel shop, all coffee tanks were empty except decaf, and they had no butter for the bagels, and no bananas for the strawberry banana smoothie. Why are they open?

The outside of this place needs some major TLC. The weeds are overgrowing on the outside of the building and are overgrowing around the trees out front. The flowers are dead and there is usually broken glass and trash around the outside. The potential is there for a great little outdoor seating area, but someone needs to give this place a major face lift.

The smoked salmon bagel was something different to me. It was the first time I have tried it and been to Einstein Bros Bagels. I asked for a toasted one but it was a little bit cold when I got it. The staffs were so unfriendly and made us feel like they just wanted us to go away so they could have a break(even though we were really respectful and polite).

There’s been a few times that I’ve literally had less than five minutes to grab something for breakfast before catching the bus(a stop is about ten feet from their door). This place is speedy and the staff is nice. Their renovation is over, so it is open again, very happy about that. They have a lot of outdoor/patio seating now too and the space is pretty clean.

The past three times I came to this location have been a mess. First of all the parking lot is seriously a problem, so tiny with many people double parking, I was parked I one of the true spots and ended up with a massive dentin. My bumper without a note… Thanks Chicago! Twice I have had issue with the food: once the eggs in my sandwich were still freezing cold in the middle. and this past time the asparagus was incredibly spoiled, hard and fiberous. Not to mention this location has some of the rudest staff imaginable. It’s safe to say I’m done with Einsteins.

I work nearby and come in pretty frequently for a coffee before work. They do an incentive program where you fill out a survey online that is supposed to result in a free coffee. In fact, they usually bribe you with more free stuff if you give promise to give them all good reviews. But then when it comes to redeeming rewards, suddenly the terms are that you have to buy something else and it’s only a small coffee. It’s a silly thing to complain about, I know, but it just seems deceptive and misleading. There’s a Starbucks right across the street, they don’t bother with the stupid SWAG games. Just give me a coffee, don’t ask me for anything or offer something you don’t actually mean to give me.

Horrible service! The drug dealer posing as a line worker wouldn’t get off of his cell phone! Walked out. Ill never goback!

Most of the time, this is a wonderful spot to dine with super friendly staff and good coffeehouse tunes. Every now and then I’ll be here and the music is like pop top 40 and obnoxious and/or the staff will be really short with me. Overall I still love coming here on the weekends for my spinach and bacon panini.

The food: Just the same as any other Einstein bagel’s place. I’m really here to talk about the service. Besides one lovely staff member, the rest of the staff is extremely incompetent. It’s hard to believe the simple things they manage to screw up. Most of them have a really bad attitude, feel like they have some sort of entitlement, and get upset when you tell them they forgot something. Last time I checked, you work at a bagel shop. So don’t give me attitude for asking for a bagel. I have no idea what the manager is on, but she sure has a way of hiring the worst employees I have ever dealt with. I love Einstein bagels, but after dealing with this group of terrible employees, I never want to return. Even though this is the closest one to my house.

As Einstein’s goes, this place has the standard bagels, which are fine. However, the service is ALWAYS terribly slow. I just waited over 15 minutes for 1 bagel with cream cheese. It’s unbelievable how terrible this place’s operations are and all of the employees are incompetent and rude, with the exception of the super friendly Asian lady that works there. She is the only reason this place gets 2 stars for me.

This has got to be one of the worst Einstein locations in the world. Always a line, every single table is the place is dirty, they’re usually out of basic items like bagels & coffee, and the place is filled with unmotivated and uninspired staff. Consistent performance on 10+ visits. Why is everyone so miserable?

9 times out of 10 the people here are very helpful, fast and friendly. I love that it’s right by the ‘L’ so if I time it just right I can get in there and grab breakfast before heading to school. They aren’t always the fastest so plan for a little bit of a wait either way. The veggie cream cheese is the best!!! That on honey wheat toasted with an iced coffee is delish and affordable.

I feel so lucky to have lived right down the street from this place all year. The bagels are always fresh but what keeps me coming back is Ninfa. Every morning she just brightens my day with her positive energy and big smile– she knows my order by heart and she always seems genuinely interested in what I have going on. This employee makes this Einstein seem like more than just a franchised bagel shop, it truly feels like a Cheer’s breakfast joint and I will miss frequent visits on the way to the train. You rock, Ninfa!

Easy quick stop for me some mornings. Can be really busy at times, but its the only place like that in the area. Nothing stands out about the place. The bagels are good.

Ok I have to update. Things have changed. The portions are ridiculously small. The Asian lady at the cashier is always friendly which explains the extra star or I would rate it one. Yes I am the Duchess and sadly this Einstein I no longer visit. The size of the egg on the sandwich is really not worth it.
