We love this place! Very convenient to our location and delicious. I love the maple pecan oatmeal, and always add fresh blueberries! My boyfriend enjoys the breakfast biscuit sandwich with bacon. Love that they offer almond milk as a non dairy option instead of the standard soy alternative!

Tim the owner catered a dinner for me. He was patient with my menu restrictions(no wheat or cheese) and he made the soup and rice vegan at my request. Reasonable prices. I picked up the food on the afternoon of my event and he told me to just add a little water and then put the trays in the oven for half an hour. Everything was delicious, especially the chocolate mousse with whipped cream and raspberry couli. I’ll be back soon for lunch.

Great gluten-free dessert options, lovely place to sit with a laptop to get some work done on a sunday afternoon, friendly service, good masala chai! wish we hadn’t already had lunch — would’ve loved to try more on the menu. The gf chocolate chip cookie — the best I’ve ever had!

Mexican hot chocolate I would totally get again. E&S biscuit sandwich was a tad bit salty but good. The chicken club sandwich was a really great sandwich and the smores bar a perfect sweet treat.

This place was fantastic. I’m in town visiting my friend for couple days, and she suggested I grab breakfast here. Couldn’t have been a better recommendation! I can’t eat dairy, so I asked for an omelette without cheese. The woman who helped me was so kind and offered to substitute another ingredient for free. She even brought out my toast and offered jelly, noting that they had left off the butter. I grabbed a card to write a note for my friend’s birthday, and she wished my friend a happy birthday too. So friendly. Makes me wish I lived here. Definitely worthy of regular visits and has the feel of a cozy neighborhood spot! Great for drop-ins too.

A great neighborhood café and coffeeshop open long hours. Until 8 pm during the week. The owners are behind the counter and accommodate requests really kindly. Great sandwiches. Good spot for coffee and tea. One of my favourite spots.

nice little spot — corner restaurant, enjoyed my traditional breakfast — timely, tasty, and maybe a tad overpriced.

I work from home and this little café is a gem that keeps me going throughout the day with it’s coffee, sweets and breakfast/lunch. Everything feels a little pricey but it’s quality stuff that’s better than the typical coffee shop so I can’t complain. It’s not the type of breakfast place to go out of your way for brunch on a weekend but if you live in the area it’s a good option any day of the week to grab a bite. It’s quiet and a great place to bust out a laptop and get some work done. They also have outdoor seating and friendly service.

Eats and Sweets is a great place. My fiancé and I found it initially because they serve Metropolis Coffee and that is our favorite coffee. We keep going back because of the friendly service and the delicious breakfast options. We also enjoy the ambiance there. We often times enjoy our food there while playing some Yahtzee. We totally love Eats and Sweets.

So good! We love this casual spot for breakfast or brunch. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. Everything is so good, I really don’t understand why there isn’t a line out the door every Saturday and Sunday! The breakfast croissant sandwich is huge and delicious and the french toast is such a treat. The staff is really friendly and go out of their way to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. Love it!

I like the patio set-up outside although more information about when the daily specials are available would have been helpful at the counter. Got the regular-menu fried bologna sandwich and got a lot more sandwich than I was expecting — great challah and the sun-dried tomatoes were a nice acidic counterpoint to the meat. The coffee was fine but not as good as I expected for the caliber of the food. Someone near me got the French toast and that looked real good with chocolate whipped cream on top.

Eats & Sweets is such a cute and intimate café perfect to dine in with yourself, family, or your beau. Fun decorations all around and the food is definitely worth your while. I come here almost every time I visit my boyfriend up here and I get something different every time. Of course I have to end my lunch topped off with a sweet of some kind. The cookies and baked goods are the best part of this place. Workers and cooks are always smiling and seem to have great fun working here. I absolutely love this place.

Cute little café, nice for lunch or coffee, good for conversation, not good for groups. Service feels a little slow. The usual assortment of baked goods, with some creative salads and sandwiches.

If you lamented the closing of Angel Food Bakery, fret not: Eats and Sweets is nearly identical, with the addition of a modest lunch menu. Last weekend they made me a really large and satisfying turkey sandwich. The build-your-own menu has plenty of enticing options. On the bakery side, it seems as reliable as its predecessor. They make a basic but thick and delicious chocolate-chip cookie which, for reasonable people, makes two servings. Ditto the blondie, s’mores bar, and seven-layer bar. The latter in particular is really rich – a tall glass of milk is absolutely necessary. They sell a lot of standards in the cookie/brownie/pastry/cupcake line, but there are some unique items too. On my first visit, I tried a brown butter and blueberry pound cake and an apple pound cake; both were a little bland, lacking enough of the respective special ingredients, but paired up nicely with some hot tea on a cold autumn morning. On top of everything else, they make a few varieties of flavored hot chocolates; try the Mexican.

Met my Unilocal foodie friend here for brunch a few weekends ago. It’s a cute little corner café a few blocks from the Montrose brown line. The menu is on a large chalkboard located across one of the walls. Service was friendly and fast — you order and pay at the counter and the food is brought out to you. Friend tried the chicken and waffles, which were okay. The chicken could have been breaded and seasoned more. I had the Croque Monsieur, which was on special. It was toasty and crispy, but I wish they cut it in half since the sandwich was so long. It could have also used more meat and cheese since I felt the bread overwhelmed everything.

My experience here was Just meh. One thing I like is that they serve breakfast all day which is awesome for my spouse and I as we work late nights and usually miss breakfast. My spouse had the chicken fajita sandwich off the lunch menu and he liked it except that he did not get full and we had to go get more food after stopping here. His was not served with a side, just the sandwich. I had a build your own breakfast sandwich, always one of my favorite things, usually. It was supposed to be biscuit, sausage, regular bacon, cheddar cheese, no egg, with a side of fajita spread. What I got was biscuit, sausage, brown sugared bacon, cheddar, egg, and side spread. Super super super greasy. I literally could see the grease all over it. I’m glad that they put egg on it because the bacon was so sugary that I couldn’t eat it and it made the rest of the sandwich sweet so the egg balanced it out a little. However I did pay a $ 1.75 extra for REGULAR non-sugar dipped bacon and didn’t even get to eat it and it ruined my sandwich. Granted, I didn’t complain to them either. In the end, I couldn’t finish it because it was too greasy, too sweet, and I knew would not sit well. Also served with no sides. It was cute inside with the décor, sweets looked appealing, coffee was good, but if I were going to spend $ 20 on a half eaten meaI with breakfast food, I would’ve gone to Golden Nugget. Two stars. One for the hubs sandwich and one for the simple fact that I want to like small businesses. I would try again but not for awhile.
