Went here at 1am because the«24-hour» McDonalds was«closed» according to the employees.(Whatever.) There was a hard working guy here and he tried his best to accommodate us in spite of the fact that it was so late/early. Should I ever need to get something to eat at 1am, I’m coming back here!

Maybe I’m just not used to Dunkins in an urban environment, but this one was so gross and sketch. The guy working there was very odd, and selection was limited. I would skip this particular location.

Rainy Sunday morning. Got to the Loop early for a meeting. Swung by here for coffee. Friendliest DD employees I’ve run across in a while. Nice to me, nice and helpful to those who needed additional service. Hung out for a few minutes to drink my coffee. Observed several friendly transactions. Good coffee and donuts at any DD. Usually just meh service from DD crews throughout the city… not today(6/7, 11:00 am). These two guys rocked!

Nicely tucked in the hallway of the old CPS headquarters this location is accessible off both Clark and Adams. The service is always VERY efficient(and I mostly frequent during rush hour) and I’ve never had a problem with my drinks or food. If you are in the area pop in and find this location. They are not viewable from the street, so it took me a while to find it, but it’s worth it!

I came here after leaving my tutoring session since my regular spot closed at 8pm and wanted to take a coffee home, but the iced coffee I ordered tasted strong like there wasnt enough butter pecan syrup, sugar, and cream. I don’t think I’ll be ordering any iced coffee from this location anymore since they can’t seem to make it right. I can still taste the coffee in my mouth and it’s pretty strong. I will have to add more sugar to it to tone the strength down. I’ll stick to my regular spot thank you!!!

Called at 8:00 requesting a 9:00 delivery from this DD less than a block from our office. When no delivery by 9:00 called again. Was told«He’s in the elevator on his way up». Ten minutes later still no delivery. Our elevators are NOT that slow. Called again. Was told a 2nd delivery would be sent. 2nd delivery finally came. First guy had never even made it into the building. Folks here went into their meetings with no coffee, nothing to eat, nada. This did NOT stop the manager from insisting on full payment. I’d say the coffee at Dunkin IS drinkable, but the service(at this location, anyway) is AWFUL… they’ve got pastries at Starbucks and Caribou, and THEIR deliveries are on time… live and learn!

On my way to the Chicago Art Institute I parked nearby, on the street.(Meter parking, $ 6.50/hour, 2 hour max). I went searching for a DD to warm my hands before taking a stroll before the museum opened. It was Dec, so colder out. This is a tiny DD, shares space with Baskin Robbins, no restrooms, a few tables very close together. I had a muffin in place of a coffee, and it was fine. This is not a DD I’d search out again, I saw one a few blocks away on my travels that looked much larger, but there was nothing wrong with it either. Very pleasant employees. 3 stars, nothing wrong with it, just not updated and no restrooms.

Starbuck’s which I find to be highly overrated… One thing I can boast about Starbuck’s is customer service and how they treat people correctly and with dignity. Unfortunately, Dunkin’ Donuts only concern is rapid expansion at any cost. Forget training your imported, off the boat staff on the virtues of American people skills and treating your customers with a smile. This stupid, inept establishment has no common sense. One the hottest days in July, in the center of the 3rd largest city in the United States, Chicago… The gruff A-hole that runs this place at night, thinks he can do it alone. Right! Disrespecting familiar customers that have been waiting for his attention… He totally ignores you as well as the person who walked in behind you, 30 minutes after everyone else has been waiting for this man to wait on us. He decides to wait on the people that just walked in… disregarding those that have been waiting patiently for his assistance… What a jerk! Hello… maybe that’s how they do things in Bombay but in Chicago customers are acknowledged, treated respectfully and not insulted when we decide we had enough and walk out the door. You and Dunkin Donuts are loosing money when folks walk out and never return… empty handed… Dunkin’ Donuts executives need to take heed of their very poor customer service techniques. In due time someone will come up that will offer good coffee, a clean establishment, a staff with manners at reasonable prices and alas, Dunkin Donuts has invited competition, due to its horrid service and store cleanliness failures… Maybe the big wigs that are raking in the dough will notice the people want better. Avoid this place! … Red dot period!.

When I go east of the Mississippi I look forward to Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and donuts. Rarely am I disappointed but this particular Dunkin’ Donuts disappointed me twice. On successive mornings the coffee was excellent but the donuts were hard and should not have been called jelly donut’s because there was no «freakin» jelly. This is a disappointing Dunkin’ Donuts!

1st time here! The coffee was really good, just like the commercials say! I got a croissant meal. It was delicious, a little on the greasy side. I tried a donut. It was really sweet. If i go back to a Dunkin’ Donuts, it may just be for the coffee.

I give this place two stars, but I go there at least once a week. Well, it’s close! The coffee is really hit or miss. Some times it’s good, sometimes it’s awful. The same goes for their various espresso-based drinks. I don’t get those very often. It seems to have gone through a number of management changes over the past year or so. I haven’t really noticed the service or quality change though. The lines can be long in the morning, if you time it wrong, but it’s not usually too bad. If you go really early, it looks like the staging area for local homeless people as they get ready to take their stations for a day of pan-handling. You can usually find one or two shady characters hanging out their in the afternoon as well. The place is grimy for sure. I’d never want to sit down and eat in there! The service in the morning is fairly fast. I get hot breakfast food here once every other week or so, and I rarely need to wait more than two minutes for my food. Ordering can be chaotic though, as there are two registers and two coffee stations, and your coffee may not be prepared at the station by your register. If this place wasn’t so close and(relatively) cheap I wouldn’t go there. If you are equidistant from two Dunkin Donuts, you’re probably better off going to whatever the other one is.

So it was around 8:30pm and I was in need of a quick snack and a caffeine boost. I got neither. Coffee was watered down. Donuts were stale… and not just a little. I can’t believe the guy gave me those donuts because seriously they were rock hard. Why two stars you ask? well it was 8:30pm so not sure if I just missed the fresh boat or what and also the donuts were free. The guy just threw them in and now I know why. I’m not a huge fan of Dunkin Donuts anyway and this trip reaffirmed why.

This dunkin donuts is right next door to my office so I frequent this place. There is always a long line in the morning. I mean severely long line. It’s okay though… don’t let it deter you. The staff is very efficient at expediting the orders.(ooh that sounded like an official statement from DD right?) Moving on… I usually order the caramel iced latte light. I would say 3.5 out of 5 times they get this order right. This place is always dirty and grimy looking(lose one star) I really hate yelling my order to the cashier. They start asking you what you would like to order when there’s still like 3 people in front of you. I don’t like this.(lose one star) This place is small especially for the amount of volume it gets. After you order it’s really hard to get out of the way and wait. There is nowhere to stand except on top of someone else.(I decided not to remove another star because I’m sure the location is what it is and cannot be helped)

Unlike starbucks, dunkin donuts coffee is different every time I have it. Sometimes, it’s a nice, flavored coffee. And sometimes it tastes like the employee made hot water and then threw in a teaspoon of grounds at the end. When they make it correctly, I like the french vanilla coffee. I looked up the nutrition info online, and it is calorie free, which is good or bad depending on how you feel about artificial sweeteners. The service is also slow and inconsistent. I had to explain several times to a cashier that if my coffee cost $ 2.02 and I gave her $ 5.02, the change would be $ 3, not $ 2.98 as the machine said since she typed it in wrong. Sigh. A cheap cup, but you get what you pay for.

The closest Dunkin’ Donuts to my work, this location has its good and bad points. To the good, their coffee is usually decent — nothing fancy, but good for morning coffee. Their hot foods are usually pretty decent tasting: breakfast sandwiches, bagels and croissants all decent. To the bad, though, this is the molasses-slowest service you’ll ever see. They typically have seven to ten people working in the mornings, only one or two of which actually wait on customers. Any hot foods(including slicing and toasting bagels) will take a lot longer than you expect, so if your time is short, go for donuts or no-frills bagels(no slicing/toasting). When it gets really backed up, they are also very slow to open a second register. It’s also not the tidiest place, and sometimes looks a little unclean. People are always mopping and cleaning, though, so I’m sure it’s just a result of the constant traffic in and out.
