I took my mother to Dr. Kundu because of all the reviews I’ve read about her. When we went to see her, she actually had worked with patients who had my mothers skin condition before — which was fantastic. While I am sure she is an outstanding doctor — we were switched to a new doctor without our knowledge. After our 4+ visit, we only met with the attending resident and we never saw Dr. Kundu again, but no real explanation besides that she«didn’t work at northwestern office much anymore.» It was rather abrupt and disappointing since I had specifically sought her out.

I suffered from breakouts for many years. I had seen countless dermatologists who either prescribed antibiotics or topical treatments… none of which had an effect. After a bit of research(btw her area of expertise is the treatment of skin disorders of different ethnicities), I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kundu(about 2 years ago). I was pleasantly surprised. She was understanding, friendly, and she listened. After our initial conversation, she explained what was causing the breakouts and prescribed a medication, not accutane or an antibiotic, that worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, her appointments are limited to once a month since she is a visiting professor at NYU. However, she will be back on a permanent basis in the beginning of 2010.

Absolutely great women. Reassured me that the eczema medicine I take occasionally when flaring up was NOT damaging my liver, and I didn’t have to suffer by using it as sparingly as I was. My new dermatologist.
