New York-style pizza in a good location downtown. Good and fast service: just came in and ordered a few slices. In and out in a few minutes. Slices are nice and greasy — each pretty solid size. Also, they have a weekday daily special — two slices of pizza + salad + drink for $ 10.

Nothing is better than a slice of pizza after a night out on Saturday! Pizzas are delicious there, gather some friends who also have that late night munchie, have a little chitchat session while waiting in line.

Best spot in Chicago for NY style pizza. Open late for those nights when you just don’t want to go home.

I live few blocks away from this place but after 18 months. Yesterday was the first time I get to try them. I had their Buffalo chicken pizza slice. Little did I expect that this place make one of the best pizzas I ever tasted. Superb crust and the toppings were fresh. I felt guilty for taking this long to review this place. I’ll try them again to taste all their different ones.

The slices at 1am were heaven. Good pie, didn’t drip grease after every bite. Tasty, hot, cheap and big slices. The next day we got sandwiches; the Italian was pretty good but needed a lot of o&v as it seemed dry. I’d return for slices.

One long weekend in chicago meant many, many stops at Dough Bros. They were quick, open late, and had respectable pizza! For late night pizza on typically a boozy stomach, this place does the trick. They also have more options than just cheese and pepperoni. They re-heat the slice before you get in(in the oven) so it’s nice and hot upon devouring it. I wouldn’t drive across town for this, however if you are in that area and want pizza, its a great option!

A few weeks ago my husband and I were in need of an afternoon snack/early dinner and walked by Dough Bros, so we decided to give it a shot. It was just OK. We got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of the white pizza. We were excited when we saw the white slice come out of the oven and they threw a nice big dollop of fresh ricotta on top. Unfortunately though the pizza was average at best. The sauce was bland and the cheese tasted like a cheap brand out of a bag. The white was definitely better than the pepperoni, but still didn’t taste fresh. Both had kind of a congealed texture, maybe they were just really old. These slices were also $ 4 a piece, which I found pretty astronomical. I don’t think I ever paid even over $ 3/slice when I lived in NYC, so to pay more for this quality of pizza in Chicago seems kind of crazy.

What is the key components of a Pizza? I would argue that it is the crust, the crust sets up the design and execution of the rest of the pizza. Dough Bros has gotten that most critical element just right. As an Indian the dough takes me back to the fresh naan right out of the clay oven. In addition to this, they have the perfect ratio of cheese to toppings on their Pizza. What more do you want? To top it all these guys are also socially responsible, a homeless guy walked in as we were eating and asked a fellow customer if he could him a slice. The customer agreed but when he went to pay for the pizza the guy behind the counter just gave the homeless guy a slice without making a big fuss about it. Good people with Great Pizza. Don’t miss it on your next visit to downtown Chicago.

Yesssss pizza! This place is one of the few places that are open when everything(clubs and bars) close around 2 and you’re starving. If not for this place there would be many starving nights after hanging out with friends. The only other option in this area is mc donalds and you’re better than that haha. If you’re looking for semi greasy, not on a diet, dive in head first pizza then this is the place to go! They sell whole pies and pizza by the slice as well.

This is obviously the«drunk» pizza spot of downtown Chicago, apparently due to the lack of other late night options available. I visited sober and starving at 1AM on a Saturday. I think the food, and my three star review, can be summed up by the mixed review given by the two completely drunken college guys sitting next to me. Drunkard 1 through slurred speech: «This pizza is shit.» Drunkard 2 through glazed eyes, shrugging his shoulders: «Meh, I think it’s pretty good.» A few seconds later another ex-bar patron came stumbling into the packed waiting area exclaiming to the massive line that this was, «FAR-N-AWAYTHEBESTPIZZAINCHICAAGO.» I don’t think my sober taste buds agree. But it’s also not the worst pizza I’ve ever had.

I pre-ordered for 15 of us the night before an 11 a.m. pickup. I called to double check in the morning, as they opened at 11 and I had scheduled an 11:20 pickup for on the road lunches. They called me back to let me know everything was ready early, which was great. They even packaged everything(subs, waters, chips) into bags for me as I had to walk a few blocks back to the hotel to deliver to our student group. A little pricier for subs, but you get a big sandwich(recommend sharing if you don’t want leftovers). They also have a deal during the week that a sub includes a soda or bottled water. Selections are also more varied than your standard sub shop.

Great restaurant for that late night slice of pizza. This restaurant stays open until 4AM Saturday morning. I think if You Ever get time you should try it out.

On our way to the bar, from another venue, some friends and I stopped by Dough Bros. for a quick snack and we enjoyed the pizza. Décor: It’s a small shop, with a pickup window(that they weren’t using for some reason) and a handful of tables inside. It really is more of a grab-and-go kind of place, which we did, but it’s fine and just what we were looking for at the time. The way the line snakes is nice as it leads you past the drink fridge and face-to-face with all the pies(so you can choose by sight). Oh, and I forgot to mention, they have their«specials» listed on a chalk board outside so you can’t miss them. Bathroom: unknown Staff: They guys seemed a bit stressed, and why wouldn’t they be dealing with scores of drunk people all night, but were nice enough and quick with the food. There was a bit of confusion as to whether a bottle of water counted as a can(For the special) but we got it nailed down quickly. Food: The pizza is exactly what you’d expect for the price. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve had much better pizza at a much cheaper price(who can beat 2 Bros. in NYC, amIright?) It’s a decent slice and will tide you over until you get some real food at the end of the night. However, I wouldn’t recommend ending your evening with this place… not much to look forward to here. Bottom line, it does what it needs to for a pizza slice. Value: If you go with a special, or even if you don’t, it’s cheap pizza, plain and simple. The location was right and the food was so-so… I’d stop in again, but I’d look for other options first.

Awesome NY style pizza in the Chicago area. My friends and I were trying to find a place to eat a late night snack and we found the Dough Bros. By far my favorite slice of pepperoni pizza. The flavor and freshness was just unbelievable. It made me want to go to New York just to dive into a pool of all the new York style pizzas ever. The seating is tight, so hopefully you plan on eating standing up or earing outside the building. Let’s just say we got to the little restaurant around 2am with the streets empty, but this room was filled enough to piss off a fire marshal. The pizza is super fresh, so make sure you make time in your plans to wait for the yummy slice to bake, especially if the place is packed with night owls like me and my friends.

Really. Really. Really good drunk pizza. I tried it when I was sober and I don’t know… it wasn’t the same. The meatball sub was eh. Really small so gets really crowded on busy nights. I wasn’t a fan of the artichoke pizza… but the sausage one and the spinach was SOGOOD. I’ve been here like 10 times already. So yeah, obviously going back. When I’m drunk.

If you live in the neighborhood, Dough Bros. is one to have on your short list. This is a go-to. I seem to have Chicago pizza in my soul, so the New York style slices that Dough Bros. offers up aren’t exactly my cup of tea. They look tasty enough, but I’ll have to admit to never having eaten their pizza. That’s because I LOVE their subs. The bread is crusty with a nice chew, and I’ve never had a sub selection here that hasn’t been well above average. I’m particularly partial to their porchetta. They offer Zapp’s potato chips to buy, and a few decent cans of pop in the fridge. Best of all, they’re open late, they’re never crowded, and they’re cheap. $ 4 for a slice, $ 10 for a foot-long sub. This is perfect take-home-from-the-bar food.

It wasn’t horrible but it definitely is NOTNY style pizza. You can’t just slice your pies into large triangles and call it that. You just can’t. Anyone that considers this acceptable has never truly had REALNY style pizza. I’m sure of it. It’s overpriced(about 4 bucks a slice) and just okay. The seating is minimal. Positive side. They’re open until about 3 or 4 in the morning on Friday and Saturday nights so if you’re ever in the city late and have a pizza craving I suppose they’ll suffice.

So last night I was in a funk, not sure what to get. Went to Dough Bros(one of my «go-to’s») and decided as much as I LOVE their NY style pizza, I wasn’t in the mood. So I had their eggplant sub. HEAVEN! Sheer heaven! People, this is FANTASTIC. My new fave! Here’s the deal: First, the proper bread is everything to a sandwich. They use a fantastic roll that isn’t «too bready» which diminishes the taste of the contents. It is just the right size for eating and holding. It is fresh and delicious. The eggplant was fantastic. It isn’t easy making good eggplant. They slice theirs very thin, lightly bread it and fry it fresh. This way it isn’t too salty or as often the case with eggplant, too bitter. It’s all in the cut. It had lettuce and fresh mozzarella. It could be the beginning of a Greek tragedy where one continues to eat the sub because it’s so good, yet the individual has been full a long time ago, dying from a food coma. Thank you Dough Bros!

I had discovered this little hidden gem recently since I work around the corner. As soon as you walk in, you notice the limited menu and the available pizza by the slice that are available. Generally, there are five or six pizza to choose from. They also sell sandwiches and small salads. The staff are generally friendly and the service is fast. Once you place the order, generally, it takes couple of minutes to heat up the slice. There is a small dining area where you can relax and watch tv — generally some kind of sports is playing. For a quick bite — it’s descent.
