Watch that lid, and easy on the flavors! The people are nice enough, though the crowd the Hyatt gets a little rowdy at 8 am. There’s a 10 inch counter space where the barista hands you your drink — I suggest you watch that lid. This isn’t a Starbucks though they serve latte style drinks, but they passed me a grande mocha with the lid not on and spilled all over my hand and pants. They don’t really have a place to set the drinks down so be very careful when they are handing the drinks across. PS the employee was nice and apologized, after I made it clear I was not going to lose my mind like some of the other people in line(which got about 10 deep in 5 mins, one barista). Last point, got a tall vanilla latte later — hey they’re the only game in town/McCormick most days — and its pretty nasty, all syrup. Don’t mess with flavors here, just get a plain latte. Good luck and maybe the internal McCormick Starbucks will be open for your event, you never know!

So, so bad. This place has a captive audience in the hotel guests and they know it. It’s very convenient but ridiculously overpriced and the food is terrible. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency one night when we flew in late and we were looking for something quick to eat when we stumbled across this place. For about $ 30 we got two sandwiches, one bag of chips, and two waters. The Italian sandwich was so salty it was inedible. The turkey was sandwiched between a loaf of bread and the promised avocado was nowhere to be found. The next morning we wanted something quick and I’ve never met a breakfast sandwich I didn’t like — or couldn’t finish — until now. The fake egg was so thick it was like biting into an eggy hockey puck. Stick to the prepackaged(but still overpriced) foods or go somewhere else — this place isn’t worth a dime.

Daily saver! Yummy snacks for on the people. The line is usually long. However it is the fastest moving coffee line I have experienced without sacrificing taste. Keep up the great work!

I am giving it 3 stars based just on the convenience of the store. It is convenient if you are looking for deli/grocery store type options. It is very overpriced and the selection is very bare. They sell sandwiches, chips, convenience store type food.

Horrible coffee, no flavor what so ever. They were all out of hot breakfast sandwiches at 10am. The two girls working the shop were extremely rude. If you are staying in the hotel you are better off walking a bit further to another place to grab a coffee and breakfast. Cheaper, taste better and better service… Very disappointed.

Not bad but not great either Located in the Hyatt McCormick Place, the Daily Grind offers a incredible selection of prepackaged snacks but an extremely limited selection of fresh food. It’s almost like a gas station convenience store except with very gourmet high end snacks. If you are craving a 5 dollar bag of gourmet caramel corn, Daily Grind has the hook-up. If you are looking for a fresh sandwich or soup, your choices are limited and the options are bland and simple.

This is the 24 hour take out snack and coffee bar at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. Kinda pricey. They have a variety of quick eats including sandwiches and Chicago made snacks. HOWEVER, if a snack shop is open 24 hours, I would think that all their offering would be 24 hours. Notsoatall… I wanted a hot dog, but they said NOMORE hot food. so disappointed… They should reconsider…
