Every time I visit this place I swear it will be my last. Not only is the staff rude but they’re also incompetent. It took over 15 minutes to get my breakfast panini and when I did it wasn’t what I ordered.

I love Corner Bakery. Great paninis, pasta, salads, breakfast, sweets, passable coffee. This location, nothing but disappointment. Three tries over several months, and each time I was rewarded with cold, congealed or undercooked food for breakfast and lunch.
Do yourself a favor and walk two blocks in any direction for other locations (Willis Tower, Wells, Randolph). Even better, check out the panini place in the food court within Union Station (the building this Corner Bakery resides in), or Avanti Café 2 blocks east on Jackson.

The service was despicable. We were the only customers present at 10:30 am and there were employees just standing around. When we ordered, we were told to go to the girl at the other end of the counter, who then barked at is to go back to the original cashier. We ordered something that wasn’t exactly on the menu (the ubiquitous cream cheese bagel). The cashier chose to be obtuse and say that they didn’t make that and then walked off leaving is to wonder if any of our order was being prepared! Very disrespectful. The entire experience was appalling from start to finish. Unless you’re a glutton for punishment, avoid this restaurant at all costs!
